Lilith turned to the robot, her patience long dead. "I swear to god, I will dismantle you bolt by bolt."

Darkness laughed, tossing the pillow onto the couch. "Ah, sweetheart... you’re making this kidnapping experience way too entertaining."

Lilith glared at him. "I hate you."

Darkness leaned in slightly, lowering his voice to a teasing whisper. "Oh, sweetheart... I don’t believe you at all."

Lilith was going to lose her mind.

Her expression turned cold, her arms crossed tightly as she ignored the robot’s laser-red eyes scanning them. Her gaze was locked onto Darkness.

"Where are my boyfriends?" she asked, her voice sharp and dangerous.

Darkness smirked, spreading his arms in amusent. "I’m here."

Lilith didn’t even blink. "Not you. I ant Gray, Ray, and Alex."

For a split second, sothing dark and dangerous flickered in his eyes.

Jealousy.

But it was gone just as quickly, replaced by an easy, almost taunting smile.

"Why?" he asked, his voice dropping lower. "Is it that you can’t handle ?"

Lilith’s expression didn’t waver. "First, tell why you kidnapped ."

Darkness smirk faltered slightly, but he masked it well, leaning lazily against the desk. "I thought you’d figure it out by now, sweetheart."

Lilith narrowed her eyes. "I have figured out one thing—you’re hiding sothing from ."

His jaw tensed for a split second before he relaxed again, but she had already caught it.

"And why are you using company funds?"

That did it.

His smile disappeared.

A cold silence settled between them, the playfulness wiped from his face.

For the first ti since their conversation began, darkness looked serious.

Lilith took a slow step forward, her gaze sharp, calculating.

"You’re not as composed as you think, Human Doll."

His fingers curled slightly but his expression remained neutral. "You know a lot."

Lilith’s lips twitched, but there was no amusent in her eyes. "I’ll only cooperate with you if you tell why you kidnapped ."

Darkness exhaled through his nose, his sharp gaze locked onto hers.

Lilith could feel the tension crackling between them, thick, suffocating.

She wasn’t afraid of him.

Lilith’s eyes remained locked onto Darkness face, scanning every change in his expression, every flicker of emotion behind his dark eyes.

"Alright, I will tell you," he finally said, his voice quieter than usual, lacking its usual playfulness.

Her sharp gaze didn’t waver. "It’s related to Grandma Bria, isn’t it?"

Darkness jaw clenched slightly before he nodded. "Yes... but not only her."

Lilith narrowed her eyes. "What do you an?"

He exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair as he walked over to the bed and sat down. His posture was tense, shoulders tight as if he were carrying a weight too heavy to bear. His usual expression was gone, replaced by sothing heavier, sothing darker.

"It was a trap," he said, his voice dipping lower. "For Grandma Bria and Nyom."

At the na, Lilith stilled. She had never heard of this person before.

"Nyom?" she repeated, stepping closer.

Darkness fingers twitched slightly against his knee. He wasn’t looking at her anymore, his gaze fixed downward, staring at nothing. Sweat ford along his forehead as his expression darkened further.

"He is my grandmother’s brother’s son," Darkness finally said, his tone hollow, as if just saying the na drained him. "Nyom Brown."

Lilith’s stomach turned. If Grandma Bria was the nightmare of Sebastian’s life... then the way he spoke right now...his body tense, his breathing uneven—

It ant Nyom Brown was sothing far, far worse.

Darkness hands curled into fists on his lap. His face looked eerily blank, but Lilith could feel the storm raging inside him.

"If Grandma Bria is the nightmare of Sebastian’s life..." he repeated, his voice chillingly empty, "Nyom Brown is the fear. The reason why Sebastian is like this."

Lilith felt sothing twist inside her.

She wasn’t soone who consoled people. She wasn’t soone who gave soft words of comfort.

But seeing him like this... his entire body locked in stress, she didn’t hesitate.

She sat beside him, her presence grounding. Without a word, she reached for his hands, her fingers wrapping around his cold ones.

Darkness tensed at the contact but didn’t pull away.

Lilith closed her eyes, allowing her soothing energy to flow into him, washing over his stiff muscles, calming the storm raging in his mind.

She didn’t speak.

She didn’t ask questions.

She just sat beside him, her warmth seeping into his skin, pulling him away from whatever dark place his thoughts had taken him.

Darkness breathing slowed. The tension in his shoulders eased slightly.

He sat still, his expression unreadable, eyes staring into nothingness. His fingers curled slightly against the sheets, his entire posture tense, as if he were bracing himself against sothing unseen.

His voice broke the silence, low, sharp, yet carrying a bitter mockery. "Do you want to know why we’re four?"

Lilith, watching him carefully, didn’t push. So wounds weren’t ant to be forced open.

"...If you feel uncomfortable, you don’t have to," she said, her voice steady and calm, offering him a way out.

Darkness let out a slow exhale before shaking his head. "No. I want to tell."

His dark eyes grew distant, hollow, staring through the walls, as if trapped in mories that refused to fade.

"Like every child, I was naughty..." he started, his tone edged with sothing cold, sothing mocking. "But I don’t know why—Grandma never liked . Maybe I was born wrong in her eyes."

Lilith didn’t move, but sothing inside her tensed.

"She used to lock in a dark room... just because I called her ’Granny.’ She thought it made her sound old," he said, his lips curving into a humorless smirk. "Or because I broke a toy. Or because I got one mark less than perfect."

His fingers twitched slightly.

"So I created Ray."

Lilith blinked, absorbing his words.

"Ray was innocence. He was the part of that still thought the world was good. That still laughed even when things were painful." Darkness’s voice dipped lower. "He was the part that still believed if I behaved well enough, maybe I’d finally be loved."

He let out a bitter chuckle. "But innocence doesn’t last."
