Ray nodded vigorously, crossing his arms like an offended cat. "Yes! It’s totally unfair! I’ve been here the longest after Alexander and Gray, and yet he gets all the deep, dark secrets!" He huffed.

Lilith smile. "And you really don’t know why?"

Ray puffed his cheeks. "No! It’s like he was just born with it. Like so dark, broody, all-knowing villain character!" He squinted. "Honestly, I think he’s cheating."

Lilith chuckled. "Cheating? That’s not how this works, human doll."

Ray groaned dramatically, pulling away from Lilith and throwing his head back against the pillow. "Well, it should be! If anyone deserves to know everything, it’s ! I was the first personality after Alexander! I was the cutest! And do you know how hard it was to learn human things?!" He turned his face towards her, looking utterly betrayed.

Lilith raised an amused brow. "I can imagine."

"No, no, no, Miss Mystery, you don’t understand." Ray sat up and gripped her wrist, his expression dead serious. "I didn’t even know how to use a toilet back then!"

Lilith blinked.

And then—

She lost it.

A full, rich laugh escaped her lips, her body shaking as she tried to contain it. "Oh my god, human doll!" She covered her mouth, but her shoulders still trembled with amusent. "You—what?!"

Ray groaned again, flopping onto his side, pulling the blanket over his head like a sulking child. "It was awful! Alexander and Gray never let take control much, so I didn’t know how anything worked. The first ti I had to go—" He peeked out, his cheeks turning a bit pink. "—I cried."

Lilith wiped the corner of her eye, still giggling. "And then what?"

Ray pouted, looking up at her with big, betrayed eyes. "Gray had to tell how to do it."

Lilith clutched her stomach, laughing even harder. "Oh no—"

"It’s not funny!" Ray whined, but his lips twitched slightly. "Do you know how embarrassing it was? I thought I was going to die!"

Lilith took deep breaths, trying to calm herself. "I can’t believe this... So, what, did Gray give you a toilet tutorial or sothing?"

Ray groaned, covering his face. "Yes. And he would not stop teasing for weeks after that!"

Lilith shook her head, still grinning. "I swear, you’re the most ridiculous human doll I’ve ever t."

Ray peeked at her through his fingers. "But you still love , right?"

Lilith smirked and reached out, ruffling his already ssy hair. "Unfortunately, yes."

Ray bead. "Then that’s all that matters!"

Lilith let out a sigh, still smiling. "You’re impossible, Human doll."

"And adorable," he added with a cheeky grin.

Lilith rolled her eyes, flicking his forehead lightly. "Sure, sure. Now, let’s focus—tell more about Darkness. If he has all the mories, then that ans he probably knows the real truth behind everything, right?"

Ray’s grin faded slightly. He sat up, playing with the hem of his hospital gown. "Yeah... I think so." His tone was quieter this ti. "But the problem is... he doesn’t share those mories. Not with . Not with anyone. He just knows things."

Lilith’s brows furrowed. "That’s strange. Usually, personalities have to experience things first-hand to rember them."

Ray nodded. "That’s why I say he’s cheating."

Lilith smiled at that but didn’t comnt. Instead, she aksed. "So, Darkness was born because of you?"

Ray humd. "Mhm!" He frowned. "I think I made him on accident."

Lilith watching the changes in his expression. He wasn’t his usual bubbly self right now. There was sothing off in the way his lips pressed into a tight line, the way his brows furrowed like he was trying to solve a puzzle he couldn’t quite figure out.

"You made him?" Lilith echoed, tilting her head.

Ray nodded, his fingers gripping the blanket on his lap. "I didn’t an to... but when the accident happened, it was dark. I thought I was going to disappear, Miss Mystery," he whispered. His voice had an eerie softness to it, sothing fragile and breaking. "It was so painful. I could feel myself slipping away, like I wasn’t real anymore, like I was just... fading."

Lilith’s chest tightened.

She had seen him that night.

Cold. Bloodied. Drenched in the rain.

Barely clinging to life.

She took a step closer, her piercing blue eyes locked onto his. "And then?" she pressed gently.

Ray swallowed. "Then... he appeared." His eyes darkened slightly, distant, like he was watching sothing unfold in his mind. "I don’t know how, but he took it all—the pain, the fear. All the things I didn’t want to feel. And when I woke up in the hospital, he was just... there. Like he had always been a part of us."

Lilith studied him carefully.

Darkness.

The personality with no na. The one who claid he was the real Sebastian.

"And you said he’s younger than you?" she asked.

Ray pouted slightly, clearly unhappy with the fact. "Yeah! He’s only one day old... But sohow, he knows everything about us. All the dark mories, all the secrets even I don’t know exist." He huffed, crossing his arms. "How unfair is that, huh? I’ve been here since we were seven! And I still don’t know everything. But he does."

Lilith’s lips curled slightly. His frustration was cute, but the situation itself wasn’t.

"So, let get this straight," she said slowly, placing her hands on her hips. "Alexander tried to erase you and Gray, and you ran away to protect yourself. That night, when the accident happened, you were so scared of disappearing that Darkness was created to take over the pain and fear you couldn’t handle?"

Ray nodded quickly.

Lilith’s eyes narrowed.

"So, in a way... Darkness was born to survive," she murmured.

Ray’s pout deepened. "Maybe... but he’s not like . He doesn’t feel things the way I do. It’s like he’s hollow, but also full of anger at the sa ti. He doesn’t want to exist, but he refuses to disappear."

Lilith exhaled slowly.

This was more complicated than she thought.

Alexander, Gray, Ray... and now Darkness.

Each of them had a role.

Each of them had a reason for existing.

And yet, the body belonged to one person.
