Lilith watched as he walked toward the door, his tall figure radiating authority even in casual clothes. When he opened it, a man dressed in black stood outside, holding a neatly packed bag. Alexander took it from him without a word and shut the door, turning back toward her.

Lilith tilted her head, eyeing the bag lazily. "What’s that?"

"Breakfast," Alexander replied, walking toward the dining table. "Go freshen up quickly."

Lilith tilted her head, eyeing the bag lazily. "What’s that?"

"Breakfast," Alexander replied, walking toward the dining table. "Go freshen up quickly."

Lilith arched a brow, leaning back against the couch instead. "You’re ordering around a lot these days, Human Doll."

Alexander didn’t even look at her as he started unpacking the containers. "Since you forget to take care of yourself."

Lilith smirked. "Acting like a responsible husband already?"

He glanced at her, his dark eyes unreadable. "Should I not?"

Lilith chuckled but stood up, stretching as she walked toward her room. "Fine, fine. I’ll be back soon after I freshen up."

As Lilith ca back after freshening up, she joined Alexander for breakfast. He was unusually quiet, his gaze distant as he absentmindedly poked at his food.

Lilith narrowed her eyes. Sothing was off.

Her patience wore thin quickly. Slamming her fork down, she leaned forward, her piercing blue eyes locked onto him.

"What’s wrong, Human Doll? I can see sothing’s troubling you, but you’re not troubling to tell ... What’s wrong?"

Alexander sighed, rubbing his temple. He knew there was no escaping her sharp intuition. Finally, after a long pause, he muttered, "Actually..."

Lilith’s eyes darkened as she waited.

"I have urgent business matters to attend to. I have to leave for abroad this afternoon," he admitted, his voice laced with reluctance. His fingers tapped lightly against the table as he sighed. "And I was tense because..." his eyes t hers, "I don’t want to leave you."

Lilith blinked, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Since when did you beco so clingy?" she teased.

Alexander exhaled, shaking his head. "Since you made obsessed with you."

Both of them looked at each other, a silent tension hanging in the air. Lilith could tell he was still hiding sothing. There was sothing in his eyes, a hesitation, as if he wanted to say more but chose not to.

She sighed internally. Fine. If he wasn’t ready to share, she wouldn’t push. Relationships needed space too; otherwise, they’d suffocate each other.

She rolled her shoulders, keeping her tone casual. "Alright! Have you packed your clothes and everything? Do you need help? I can co over to your place..."

Alexander shook his head. "I always have a suitcase ready for situations like this."

Lilith nodded, eyeing him. "So, you’re leaving now?"

He nodded again, checking his watch. "Yeah, I need to catch my flight."

Lilith crossed her arms. "When are you coming back?"

Alexander exhaled. "Maybe a week. I’ll try my best to co back early."

Lilith humd, watching his expression closely. She still wasn’t convinced this was just about business, but she’d let it slide for now. "Alright, then. Let’s get you going."

After breakfast, she walked downstairs with him. As they stepped outside, her gaze imdiately fell on the car parked in front of her apartnt. The bike was missing. Ah... so he made arrangents early in the morning.

She smirked slightly. "Human doll, you really like to plan ahead, don’t you?"

Alexander gave her a side glance before shaking his head. "Just making sure things are in place."

Lilith turned to face him, tilting her head. "You sure you don’t want to co with you? I could be a great distraction on a boring business trip."

A rare smile tugged at his lips. "That’s exactly why you can’t co, Miss Trouble. If you do, I’ll get nothing done."

She chuckled, stepping closer. "Hmm... fair point."

His dark eyes locked onto hers, intense and filled with emotions she couldn’t quite read. He lifted his hand, gently tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "I’ll try to co back early."

Lilith arched a brow, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "You sound like a husband assuring his clingy wife."

Alexander let out a low chuckle. "Would that be so bad?"

Lilith blinked, caught off guard. She parted her lips to retort, but before she could, his fingers curled behind her neck, pulling her into a deep, slow kiss.

His lips moved against hers with a possessiveness that sent heat crawling up her spine. Lilith gripped the fabric of his shirt, her heart pounding against her ribs. Damn him and his ability to make her lt so easily.

When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against hers, his breath mingling with hers. "Don’t get into trouble while I’m gone."

Lilith smirked, tilting her head. "No promises."

Alexander exhaled through his nose, shaking his head slightly before stepping back. His hands lingered on her waist for a second longer before he finally let go and walked toward the car.

Lilith watched as the driver opened the door for him. Just before getting in, he turned back one last ti, his dark eyes locking onto hers.

"Wait for ."

Then, without another word, he got inside, and the car slowly drove away.

Lilith stood there for a mont, watching the taillights disappear down the road.

Wait for him?

He should be the one worried about what will happen in his absence.

A slow smirk curled on her lips as she turned back toward her apartnt.

It was ti to cause so chaos...

Since she didn’t have anything to do today, Lilith decided to finally read the script Nina had given her.

Settling onto her couch, she pulled the script out of her bag, flipped it open, and began reading.

The story was set in a fantasy world filled with powerful Lords, divine Angels, cunning Demons, and fragile mortals caught in between.

Intrested, she continued, letting the words paint vivid images in her mind.

And then, she found the character Nina had suggested for her.

A female demon.

Sexy. Dangerous. Sassy.
