Lilith blinked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief, but she didn’t miss the way he moved.

Each step he took was slow and deliberate, his gaze locked on hers with an intensity that made her pulse quicken.

Her eyes trailed over his figure—broad shoulders, perfect posture, the slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

He looked impossibly hot.

As if sensing her thoughts, Sebastian tilted his head slightly, his voice carrying a teasing edge.

"Miss Lilith," he said smoothly, "you really shouldn’t stare at your boss like that."

Lilith’s cheeks ward, though she masked it quickly with a small smirk of her own.

He stopped just a breath away from her, lifting the coffee cup to his lips. Slowly, he took a sip, his dark eyes never leaving hers.

Then, with maddening precision, his tongue darted out to lick a stray drop from his lips.

Lilith gulped.

Damn it, Human Doll. Are you trying to kill ?

"Punishnt?" she asked, raising a brow to distract herself from the growing heat in her chest.

Sebastian humd softly, his gaze flicking briefly to her lips before eting her eyes again.

"Hmm... yes," he muttered, his voice lower now, almost a purr.

"What kind of punishnt?" Lilith asked, taking a step back instinctively as he advanced further.

He didn’t answer imdiately, his steps closing the distance between them until her back t the cool surface of the wall.

Sebastian leaned in closer, his presence overwhelming. The space between them narrowed to nothing but the coffee mug he held.

His nose brushed lightly against the side of her neck, and Lilith froze as his breath caressed her ear.

"Miss Lilith," he murmured, his tone rich and seductive, "your punishnt... is to work in my office for the day."

Lilith blinked, her confusion breaking the spell for a mont.

"What?"

Sebastian leaned back slightly, his dark eyes glinting with amusent.

"I’ll keep an eye on you," he said simply, taking another sip of his coffee, his smirk growing as he watched her reaction.

Lilith’s lips twitched, her glare sharp but unable to hide the faint flush on her cheeks.

"Fine," she said, her voice steady but her heart racing.

Sebastian stepped back, satisfied, his smugness evident as he returned to his desk.

Let the gas continue, Lilith thought, composing herself as she pushed off the wall.

When Lilith returned to her desk, she imdiately noticed a group of staff carrying a desk and a comfortable chair into Sebastian’s office.

She paused, raising a brow as the realization struck her.

Oh, so he’d already planned this, she thought, a faint smirk tugging at her lips, though she kept her expression neutral.

The commotion didn’t go unnoticed by the other employees on the floor. Their curious and pitying glances followed the scene, whispering amongst themselves.

Finally, one brave employee approached her cautiously.

"Miss Lilith," he said quietly, leaning closer, "why is the desk being moved into the boss’s office? What happened?"

Lilith, as composed as ever, kept her face calm and her tone even.

"Sir was angry," she said simply, her voice matter-of-fact. "As punishnt, he wants to sit in his office so he can keep an eye on ."

Her explanation caused a ripple through the office, with employees exchanging glances of shock and sympathy.

"Working so close to Sebastian Alexander Carter? That’s not punishnt; it’s a nightmare," soone whispered.

"Poor thing," another murmured under their breath.

"Better her than ..."

Lilith’s lips twitched with amusent, though she maintained her calm deanor.

Let them pity all they want, she thought. If only they knew how much I’m enjoying playing this little ga with him.

Straightening her posture, she gracefully walked to her workstation, gathering her files and bag with an air of elegance, as though the whispers and pity didn’t bother her in the slightest.

Lilith noticed Sebastian’s office door was open and as she peeked inside, she saw that the staff had just finished placing a desk and chair right next to his.

The sight made her heart skip a beat. He is really...!!

The staff exited the room, leaving the two of them alone.

Lilith walked inside with asured steps, her heels clicking softly against the floor. Without turning back, she reached out and closed the door behind her with a quiet click.

Her heart thudded a little harder in her chest, breaking through her usual calm.

What is it about this re human that can make my heart act so irregularly?

As she turned back toward him, her gaze t Sebastian’s. He was leaning back slightly in his chair, his arms resting casually on the armrests, and a smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.

"Have a seat, Miss Lilith," he said smoothly, his deep voice laced with amusent.

His gaze flicked briefly to the chair beside his desk before returning to her, his smirk growing as he noticed the faint hesitation in her movents.

Lilith raised a brow, brushing away the flutter in her chest as she walked over and lowered herself gracefully into the chair.

"Quite the arrangent you’ve made, sir," she said, her voice cool but edged with playful sarcasm.

Sebastian’s smirk deepened, his eyes glinting with sothing unreadable.

"I aim for perfection," he replied, leaning forward slightly, his dark gaze locking onto hers. "And now I can keep a closer eye on my most valuable employee."

Lilith leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms as her piercing blue eyes t his without flinching.

For the rest of the morning, neither of them said much. Both got engrossed in their work, the room filled only with the quiet sounds of typing, pages flipping, and the occasional sip of coffee.

However, from ti to ti, both would glance in the other’s direction.

Sebastian would steal a look at Lilith while pretending to read a docunt, his gaze lingering just a second too long before turning back to his work.

Lilith, on the other hand, would glance up subtly when she felt his eyes on her, a faint smirk playing on her lips before she returned to her tasks.

This silent ga continued until lunch break.
