Chapter 162: Demon Overlord! Unbeatable Griffin
After hurried forward along the way, Chen Rui and the others finally approached the tauren’s tribe. A startling scene ca into his vision.
There were taurens, earth elentals and dusas everywhere along the way, but these creatures had all beca stiff statues. It wasn’t the petrify talent of the dusas but actual crystal statues. From the outside, they were only covered by a thin layer of pale yellow crystal yet it was exactly this film-like crystal shell that isolated all life force.
There were also many incomplete statues. Based on the fracture, not only the surface layer but the entire flesh had beco crystal! It seed that they were still one step late as Glorfin’s invasion had extended to the tauren’s tribe. Then, what about Athena?
Chen Rui’s heart was beating fast when he saw that. An ominous feeling ca to his heart, and he quickly accelerated his pace.
Finally, in front of the Tauren’s Lair, he saw an incomplete palace which was the Earth Palace that was moved here. The palace was surrounded by almost impenetrable layer of demonic flies. The ground around the area was covered by flickering crystals. When they walked on it, they felt like the consumption of energy almost doubled for no reason.
Looking from a distance, there was no more resistance around as almost all taurens, dusa and the normal earth elentals had been turned into crystals. There was only the faint battle noises that ca from the Earth Palace, which was Chief Tauren Delong’s voice.
Chen Rui was spirited and rushed toward the Earth Palace with the 2 elite earth elentals. The demonic flies and earth elentals along the way wanted to besiege, but they seed to have received a certain order where they actually made way and let the three hurried into the palace.
In the Earth Palace, Queen dusa and Chief Tauren were fighting fiercely against the demonic flies that were made out of crystals that surrounded them. It was the spirit-devouring demonic fly that Chen Rui saw at the fountain of life. Not far behind them were Athena, Tim, Torre, Lysa and the others that totaled to about a dozen. Although they were still alive, they seed to have lost their ability to move.
At the center of the palace was a standing figure. It was a tall earth elental, wearing a strange armor which seed to have integrated with his muscles. Yet, his face was wearing a weird mask.
The mask looked ordinary and there seed to be a missing part in the middle of the forehead. That should be the Earth Elental King that was possessed by Glorfin. When the three entered the palace, they were facing the Earth Elental King. The eyes of the mask lit up suddenly. They flashed a cold and strange light.
Chen Rui looked into that pair of eyes and his heart twitched for no reason. His whole body seed to be controlled by invisible restriction. He imdiately lost his ability to move.
It is this pair of eyes! It’s full of weirdness that makes one shiver. Chen Rui once felt the horror of these eyes on the crystal around the fountain of life and the controlled earth elentals. Yet, when he truly faced it now, it was 10 tis more terrifying! Just by a single glance, his entire body’s blood was frozen under the cold and evil gaze. He couldn’t exert any strength.
Tag and Sog were both Great Demon King, so they didn’t seem to be affected much. They rushed towards the spirit-devouring demonic flies without hesitation. At that point, the pressure on the Chief Tauren and Queen dusa was greatly reduced. However, these spirit-devouring demonic flies were also immortal. Even if they were crushed into fragnts, they could quickly recover while their strength wasn’t weakened but increased instead. On the contrary, the attack power of Queen dusa and the others was much weaker than usual in the palace and their strength consumption was doubled. Now, even with the help of two elite earth elentals, they were still in absolute disadvantage.

Chen Rui didn’t dare to look at those eyes anymore. He went directly to Athena’s side.

The strength that let Chen Rui get rid of the spiritual bind made the Earth Elental King’s eyes shone bright in yellow. His body was exuding a terrible breath. The clenching teeth voice behind the mask sounded. The voice seed to be to a mix of two tones, one was the language of the earth elental and another turned out to be the lingua franca in the Demon Realm, “Dark Will! Lucifer Royal Family!”
Glorfin was severely damaged by the Lord of Midnight Sun back then, so he was no stranger to the “Dark Will”. The defeat at Dark Moon ruined the years of planning for the rise of the Beelzebub Royal Family. After the death of countless comrades, Glorfin himself was almost dead as well. Therefore, he hated the Lucifer Royal Family to the extre.
In the roar, the spirit-devouring demonic flies shattered into crystals and a huge, scary force spread imdiately. Even the few Great Demon King powerhouses like the Chief Tauren couldn’t stand still within that force. They staggered backward and eventually fell to the ground. Chen Rui was just on ti to hug Athena tight and they were blown up by that force until he hit a pillar in the palace before they stopped. They felt like they were in a hurricane which they had no strength to resist. He was shocked. Is this a Demon Overlord’s strength? He only released his breath, and it is already...
Although the spirit-devouring demonic flies were shattered, it didn’t an that the crisis was lifted. At the mont that the breath subsided, everyone in the palace felt that their feet were congealed simultaneously. They had been firmly bound by countless tiny crystals. Instantly, the “growing” crystals spread upward from their feet and it contained a powerful devouring force that made their strength reduced quickly. Let alone escaping, they were unable to move or resist at all.
Chen Rui hugged Athena, clenched his teeth and launched the “Dark Will” . He didn’t expect that their figures were only blurred for a while and they were still at the sa place when it beca clear. They were surrounded by the crystals again.
Chen Rui was shocked as he didn’t expect this “territory” strength could actually limit the Dark Will’s ! Even his last escape plan failed. Previously, there was a failing examples under the interference of The Eye of Incubus. It seed that the power of artifact was limited after all.
“Trying to escape?” Glorfin sneered, “Even a Demon Overlord can’t use any magic items in this field freely unless it’s an artifact...”
At that mont, the suction suddenly weakened. They heard the exploding sound coming from the Earth Elental King’s body. There were actually a lot of cracks appearing on the sturdy armored skin.
“Damn Earth Elental King!” A mournful scream ca from the mask, “Fountain of life! Give it to !”
Chen Rui who was hugging Athena tightly and were resisting the power of the crystal together thought of sothing. It must be like this! Glorfin hasn’t fully control the Earth Elental King yet. That’s why he dares not use too much power, while the fountain of life can enhance Glorfin’s control!
Glorfin’s mood was extrely angry at that mont. He had been using his spirit-devouring demonic flies clone to absorb the power from the fountain of life in the Earth Realm and the Troll’s Lair to strengthen himself while suppressing the Earth Elental King bit by bit. The fountain of life in the Tauren’s Lair and dusa’s Lair were also absorbed by Glorfin’s clone seed, which was equivalent to 4 sources constantly providing strength.
Seeing that he almost completely suppressed the will of the Earth Elental King, the “energy” from the Tauren’s Lair suddenly disappeared, following by the dusa’s Lair. After failing to attack the dusa’s Lair, Glorfin had only one elite elental in his combat power, which could no longer threaten the two alliance tribes. What surprised him was after he left the Earth Realm, the fountain of life at the Troll’s Lair that was completely controlled, disappeared for so reason. Ultimately, the last fountain of life at his old nest, the Earth Realm was also gone.
Glorfin, who suddenly lost all the power of the fountain of life, had reached the Tauren’s Lair. He decided to eliminate these opposition creatures along the way before trying to find out why the fountain of life disappeared.

Strangely, the fountain of life in the Tauren’s Lair seed to disappear out of thin air. Even with his “territory’s” strength, he couldn’t find it. At that ti, two elite soil elentals appeared and one of them even gotten rid of the control.
The most hateful is the demon wearing the Dark Will! He must be my nesis, the Lucifer Royal Family!
The explosive sounds from the Earth Elental King gradually subsided and the traces of cracks returned to normal. Chen Rui and the others felt that the devouring power of the crystals on their body suddenly increased and the crystals that were originally at the knees had spread to the waist. Not only strength but even their life force were fading quickly under that terrifying devour.
“Tell where the fountain of life is! Otherwise, all of you must die!”
“Wait!” Chen Rui knew that it was the brink of life and death, so he shouted as he tried to resist the repression of the crystal.
As soon as the speed of the crystal stopped, the sight from the “God-Eating Mask” fell on Chen Rui’s body and a low-pitched voice sounded, “Tell now! Where is the fountain of life?!”
“You can’t tell him!” Tag also guessed the importance of the fountain of life, so he shouted, “Otherwise, he can completely control the king!”
An angry expression flashed past within the mask and the crystals on Tag’s body suddenly wrapped the entire body of the earth elental quickly. Tag struggled with all his strength, but his resistance was futile. He gradually solidified into a rigid statue.
Imdiately after, “Poom!” and the statue exploded and shattered every piece of the body. Tag who possessed Great Demon King strength was actually crushed without being able to resist! Everyone showed grief and anger, especially Sog yet he still couldn’t get rid of the body’s restriction.

“Without the whereabouts of fountain of life, everyone here will be crushed!”
“Stop! Glorfin!” Chen Rui clenched his teeth, “I can tell you if you let them go!”
“You actually know !” Glorfin’s voice contained a little surprise. Thinking of the Dark Will that he was wearing, he then said angrily, “Damn Lucifer, he actually hunt up to this place! Does Midnight Sun already know where I am?”
Glorfin was defeated by Midnight Sun 400 years ago, then fled to the underground. He didn’t know that Lord of Midnight Sun had died in the war against the human realm 300 years ago.
“The God-Eating Empire was perished by the Lucifers. Since that’s the case, I won’t let you go!” Glorfin’s voice revealed an extre hatred, “Tell where the fountains of life are and I can give you a quick death!”
Chen Rui knew that Glorfin had misunderstood, so he quickly explained, “I’m not part of the Lucifer Royal Family. I’m a human! Besides, Lord of Midnight Sun has been dead since 300 years!”
“Midnight Sun is dead?” Glorfin laughed madly, and his voice echoed across the tauren’s tribe.
Chen Rui felt that the power of the crystals began to increase again, so he quickly said, “Glorfin! I can give you the fountain of life! However, you must let my friends go!”
“Hmph!” As Glorfin was about to speak, then he felt that his body started to tremble uncontrollably again, so he quickly answered, “Yes!”
Actually, these people already know my origin and secrets, so no one should live. As soon as I get the information about the fountain of life’s whereabouts, I’ll imdiately kill everyone!
Chen Rui clearly wouldn’t believe in Glorfin so easily. When he was about to put forward the condition of letting people go, he saw the Earth Elental King’s body trembled, following by a clear noise as if sothing fragile had shattered.
The eyes in the “God-Eating Mask” suddenly turned white. The white light expanded throughout the Earth Elental King’s body. Under the effect of this light, the crystals on the ground started breaking one after another. The crystals on Chen Rui and others began to withdraw and the devoured strength slowly returned to their body.
However, the power of that white light didn’t last long. The eyes of the mask began to tremble. It gradually changed to the pale yellow color of Glorfin. Glorfin’s voice contained great fear, “Stupid guy, he actually crushed his own elental heart!”
The Earth Elental King still had his consciousness intact? Will Glorfin die together with him?
