"AHHH!" Lenny scread as he felt a blade launch into his shoulder from behind. However, his assassin instincts kicked in and he used the forward motion of the projectile to tumble in the air and pull away from the the remaining body of the projectile that would have obviously split him into two.
With this, his body had been injured, but he imdiately rolled on the ground as he turned about.
However, apart from a huge rock sharped like a sharp stalactite stained with his blood, he did not see any thing else.
He frowned. his eyes darting around the place as he searched for enemies.
At the sa ti, the sting of the new wound hamred at him.
And then, the sun in the sky, counted down again... 3, 2, 1.
*Boom!*
The attack ca from below him, however, he tumbled in the air, his fingers spreading apart as each one twisted in form as cosmic energy was used for rune weaving in the air.
*BOOM!* BOOM!* BOOM!*
Boulders of ice were ford as the runes shot out, clashing with the earth below him. However, just as the ice boulders went forth, they clashed heavily with the ground.
Unfortunately he was still not able to see his opponent neither was he able to hit him either.
And then the count down began again.... 3, 2, 1.
All of a sudden, the wound on Lenny’s shoulder leading down to his chest had disappeared, and his body was healed. Even the attack on the earth was healed.
Lenny checked, but truly, the wound that would have been nearly fatal had disappeared.
"Is this devil fucking with ?" Lenny thought to himself.
However, he suddenly felt a presence behind him. He waved his fingers again. This ti around, he fired off a volley of Earthen Electricity.
The attack was heavy, jagged on the ground, and from what lenny could see, it hit the mass of eyes clinging to a tree, but there was no effect.
This surprised him. After all, he knew that this devil was at least a Greater Devil existence, aning that it was a rank one greater devil. While Lenny was a rank 5 great demon. However, he should at least be able to make a scratch.
After all, even if a child of ten could not beat a grown adult, if the adult were to stay without defending, the ten year old should be able to plug out the adult’s eyes. But the devil took the attack head on and nothing happened.
The mass of eyes disappeared once more, and this ti around, the air around Lenny suddenly crystalized, striking at his skin from all angles.
A million shards of air-glass striking all together with trendous speed.
Lenny raised his hands to defend against the assault, protecting his face, at the sa ti, he erected a barrier around his body made of cosmic energy.
luckily, he did in ti, but only enough to slow down the effects of the blades as they still pierced into his skin. Once more, his already healed body was once more wounded.
Blood fell from a million wounds on his body.
Lenny suddenly heard laughter echo all around him. It was creepy with a bone chilling echo, giving the impression that the Devil was both far and yet close.
"I know right? My Semi-Arcane Domain...Relive is very incredible. The rule here is simple. It gives my prey the opportunity to be Whole again, but for a bright price. Can you guess what it is?"
Lenny attacked, sending a volley Earthen lightening in a particular direction. However, they was no one there.
Once more, the sun counted down... 3, 2, 1.
Once more, the wounds, and blood leaking from Lenny’s body had healed up.
Now, things were getting really creepy, and Lenny’s mind sharp as it was, was trying his possible best to figure things out.
Once one, he heard the Devil’s voice, "You are a really tough one, aren’t you!? most would have died by now. Those reflexes of yours are really good. But don’t worry, once i eat you, I will make good use of them."
Lenny sensing the location of his enemy looked in that direction and just as he had assud, the Devil, showed up again. A mass of inverted eyes like a gathering of slithering snakes on top one another.
Instantly, he waved his hand and sent a storm volley of white flas enough to engulf an entire city was sent in that direction.
The Explosion was cataclysmic, destroying that area into a crater so large it looked like a teor had crashed the earth.
Smoke dust, and white flas bathed the air, intertwining with one another as if to cause more destruction than it already had.
Lenny gave a slight smirk. "Got you!" However, once he raised his head and looked at the point he had blasted, he frowned even more.
"Fuck!" Lenny cursed again. The Devil he thought he had destroyed at least injured, was not hard one bit. instead, it slithered in its dark liquid form that was hundreds of eyes.
Once more, the Sun gave another count down.... 1, 2, 3.
The earth, destroyed as it was from Lenny’s attack was suddenly restored, becoming whole once more. His flas, and earthen lightning he had given out earlier on wee all restored.
It was as if a finger had been flickered and everything was restored back to normal.
"FUCK... !" Lenny comnted.
However, at such a ti, his eyes moved, looking at the tir in the sky that was the sun.
3, 2...
"screw this!" I can’t stay here.
He raised his hands, and with a blast of shadow runes and fire runes right on the ground under his feet, he blasted out in full force.
*BOOM!*
The earth shook and the blast went in all directions. With such an impact, anyone looking from an outside perspective would think that Lenny had just committed suicide.
"Don’t worry, you can’t kill yourself in here. I’ll just restore you whole again." The Devil spoke up.
1... The tir went off again, and the earth and air were restored again.
However, Lenny was no were to be seen.
The Devil, deep within hiding, squint its eyes a bit. "hmmm! you think you can hide in my domain, I’ll find you."
For a while, the place was quiet and it seed as if the Devil was actually looking for Lenny. After all, no more attacks ca Lenny’s way.
The Mass of eyes, like a little river, spread around the grass, trees and even the earth, searching for Lenny.
However, a particular tree that parts of it just crawled across, an eye opened up. This was Lenny.
Just when the mass of eyes turned about again, Lenny closed his eyes.
This was an assassin move from his old world. Since this bout with the devil Boss had started, he had been attacking like a warrior in the war front.
But brute force was not working, besides, this place seed to have very unique laws of its own. it was clear to Lenny that fighting on his own terms was not going to work. He would have to fight in the sa manner that his opponent was doing.
Lenny had already confird one thing. Even though this semi-Arcane domain belonged to this Devil, it did not have complete control over it.
After all, if he did, he would have figured out Lenny’s location by now.
Also, whether it be Greater demon or Great demon ability, it was all subject to the laws allowed within the plane.
As Lenny remained eyes closed, he allowed his incredible mind to sink deep into thought. Deeper and deeper he thought as he made bare all that happened from the very beginning till now.
First, his mories had been restored and even the problem with his soul being poisoned had been solved.
But that only happened after the count down by the sun.
Whenever, the count down was over, any injury done within this world was restored. However, he could not still hurt his opponent.
Then again, Lenny’s incredible mind imdiately recognized sothing important.
Every ti he had been injured and healed, two things had happen. Firstly, the devil would show itself from hiding, and secondly, Lenny would attack. However, the attacks would not be effective at all.
"Oh! I see," Lenny thought to himself. "I cannot wound it when I am healed. That is why it only reveals itself whenever I am healed. at the sa ti, I can only be injured for a ti.
After all, my attacks at that ti will have no effect. But at the sa ti, if an attack does not kill the opponent, the tir resets. in that case, why does he not double attack when I am injured?
This can only an that It can only give one attack at a ti. if not, with the amount of tis it had gotten wounded, I should be dead by now.
It is also fair to assu that the sa rule applies to his opponent... Lenny chuckled, "aning I can only hurt him when I am wounded... interesting."
