The day finally ca.
The portal was made, ready and set. Because of the nature of things on Earth, only a very few people were allowed the knowledge that Lenny was about to leave Earth. After all, it was a very sensitive topic.
Even those that engaged in the building of the portal were not allowed such sensitive information.
The only person that had knowledge of it was none other than his family mbers.
However, because of the ethereal nature of entities, this information that they thought to be a secret was not so much a secret.
The portal was built deep within the earth of the territory. This was a carven, but the stalactites and the Stalactites had been cleared out. The environnt made to be workable.
The carven had been divided into two. The Portal was below while those that wished to observe had a spot above.
It was made of different coloring marbles that had runes carved on their surface. Each Rune had been made with precision. There was nothing about it that had not been calculated to a terrifying precision.
The depths of each rune, the distance of each rune from the other, and the delicate shape and sizes of the runes. this had truly not been easy work, especially considering the fact that they were thousands of runes on the Portal gate.
Spacial travel was a very dangerous endeavor. It was even more risky when it had to do with traversing two primary planes.
Clawed had to call upon his years and years of inter planetary travel for him to be able to create sothing of such outstanding progress and even now, he was still not sure.
He checked the details again and again, assigning tasks to his helpers like nel and the others.
Father Black, walked up to him, with his hands behind his back, "will it work?" he asked.
Clawed gave a long sigh, "If everything goes according to plan, then it should. If not, then he will..."
"Don’t say it!" Father Black stopped him.
Clawed nodded, reframing from being negative at such a mont. "Because of the materials that we have on hand, this portal can only work one ti. We don’t even have the facilities to do a test run. Are you sure Lenny will still do it?"
Father black nodded, "We have no choice. This is the only way. We don’t have a other ans to ensure spatial travel. Although before the apocalypse, humans worked on sothing they called the Warp engine for traveling through space, i doubt even if it was completed, it would have been able to compete with a portal connected to a sub plane.
This is the best we have."
Clawed nodded, "True. Then again, there is another way."
Father Black indicated for him to continue.
"I heard from Crusher that you and Loki, the god, have recently beco buddies. The gods have ans with better assurance. Since he gave us the materials. If you were to ask him, maybe he might be willing to..."
However, he had not finished talking when father black burst into a laugh. "Clawed, and here I thought maybe you were familiar with human culture and history.
If Loki is who he says he is, then that is more of a reason for us not to trust him. In fact, I was going to tell you to comnce the creation of the other portals that connect to the other subplanes to gather back the materials he gifted us and give him back.
After all, who would gift an enemy if they don’t have ulterior motives. I only accommodate him because, the first ti we t, he said he had co representing a Royal Demon family." Father Black’s eyes gave away aning, "now tell clawed, what kind of a god cos to a primary plane representing not his on kind but a demon royal family."
Clawed suddenly understood what Father Black was trying to say.
Father black nodded, "Yes, that god looks down on us and thinks we are fools. In my experience as a human for many years, there is no such thing as a free lunch. We will be careful with that one. He does not an well."
Clawed nodded. At this point, A portal opened up and mbers of lenny’s family walked through one at a ti. Crusher even ca with Nikky behind him.
Morgana ca alone, Victor and Perseus were together and Insect-B also ca alone.
Everyone had gathered. And then from above them all, a Portal appeared and Lenny walked out of it. He was literally walking on air.
He was dressed simple, in blue robes that complinted his eyes and his peaceful deanor. However, those that knew him personally, knew that peace was fundantally not a part of Lenny’s nature.
On seeing him, everyone took a bow. This included the workers on the ground. However, no one noticed that nel had a sharp glow in his eyes as he did.
Regardless, like all the others, he still bowed.
Lenny landed in front of his family mbers. He could see the expression on all their faces. Even he had to admit that he had done a lousy job as a leader, but it could not be helped. For the last few days all he had been doing was gathering up on knowledge about purgatory.
He too a look at Morgana. She had the most frown on her face.
He sighed, however he did not ntion anything about her state of mind.
"I have made certain preparations for each and every one of you. Father Black will tell you the details of each. Where I am going, I do not know if I would co back, nor when I will, all that I is..." he smirked, "It is going to be fun."
On seeing his smirk, Crusher could not help but chuckle. "Of course, it will be. Just make sure that you co back alive! We have not even gotten the chance to drink together since that ti."
Lenny laughed, "don’t worry, when I co back, and we will take a drink with their blood!"
Lenny walked over to them one after the other as he patted their shoulders. This was his farewell.
However, when he got to Morgana, she did not let him touch her, pouting and showing her displeasure on her face.
But then Nikky, without wasting ti, jumped on him in an embrace. This annoyed Morgana a lot. After all, in her own opinion, she was only playing hard to get.
"Stay away from him you tramp!" she bellowed in annoyance. And everyone laughed.
Clawed walked up to lenny, "Truth be told. I have never done coordinates to Purgatory before, and I truly do not know if the Cosmic law will let you in or not.
Do you still wish to back off now?"
To His surprise, Lenny chuckled, "I have already pissed off the Fates and now, the Royal demons are already coming for our ho..." He closed his eyes a little, and he could feel the multiply presence all about Deter. Many of them in their space ships, unable to enter the plane because of the cosmic rule. Truly, he knew that their patience would soon run out.
If he had the Royal lucifer family as his backing, things would have been much easier, but Lenny had chosen not to be manipulated by the Fates.
"...There is no other way. Once I am gone, Father Black will tell you the details of the plans I have left in place. It should buy us soti, until my return."
Clawed nodded and then he gave the order, "activate the Portal."
Like the start of a washing machine, power activated the portal and a pinkish gateway appeared.
"This Portal is a one way ticket. We have to keep it open on our end until you reach the other side." Clawed explained.
"How Long is that going to take?" Father black asked.
"About ten minutes! Its a primary plane to another Primary Plane. It will not be easy to tear through. nevertheless, it will be opened for fifteen minutes. That way, in case of accidents, we may pull you back." On saying this, he raised a rope.
This was a very sturdy rope, made from precious materials. it could withstand the pressure that the portal would exert.
Clawed’s plan was to tie one end to lenny’s body and the other to this side.
Lenny was a person that was not afraid of danger, but he did not refuse having the rope around his waist.
After all, he knew that it would give his followers so peace of mind.
Once it was securely fastened, it was ti to move.
At this mont, Morgana could not hold it in any more. she rushed over to hug him. And then shyly, she ran away.
Even father Black shook his head at this.
Lenny turned to the portal and then he leaped in.
the mont he did, nel, hiding amongst the workers chuckled as he waved his hand and a single rune on the portal body changed...
