882 The AFTER TRUTH
Lenny suddenly appeared before the angel's face, flying in the air as he held a long blade against Uriel's throat. "Tell about the Codex."
However, unlike one would expect from a person at death's door, Uriel chuckled lowly. "Not bad boy. You managed to ACTUALLY wound . You know, even amongst angels of the lower ranks, that is rare."
"Do you think just because of the past few months, that I won't stick this blade through your neck?" lenny asked with a chilling tone.
"Passing the blade through my neck is not the problem. The problem lies in moving your hand." Lenny raised a brow at his words. "Are you testing ?" "Maybe! Co on, go ahead and do it." Without hesitation, Lenny's hand moved. However, it stopped just when the angel's skin was about to kiss the edge of the blade. Although it appeared as if Lenny had stopped, he actually had not. His hands shook a bit as his muscles and veins bulged out. Evidently, Lenny was putting in a lot of effort, trying his best to strike and deliver a fatal blow. But his hand would not just move. "Wow, no hesitation there. I teach you for months on end and you are willing to kill the first chance you get. You are really a man after the master's heart."
Lenny did not care about Uriel's words. instead, he used his other hand to apply pressure in other to kill the angel, but it just did not work. Lenny now had better control of Holy power than he ever had, and could clearly see that the angel was not doing anything with Holy Power to stop the attack. However, the attack would not just make the hit.
Lenny had a puzzled look on his face. However, Uriel on the other hand with a confident smirk looked at lenny like he was looking at the effortless struggle of a child. "let ask you sothing, Master's beloved. Tell , do you know why Demons are used as the tric for quantifying strength?
I an why does no one else say sothing like, 'he is a rank 4 lesser angel.' You know, stuff like that."
As he said this, Uriel leaned a bit into Lenny's blade, allowing it to cut him a bit, but then he used a finger to push the blade from his face. *BOOM!*
Lenny was smacked by holy power, and he crashed into a crater. "The reason is because..." Uriel continued talking. "We angels are not of the sa caliber as the rest of creation. categorizing our power against the rest is not only unfair, it is practically wickedness. But you see, it is not about the kind of strength that we command. No! It is far more than that. You see, it is our mastery of it all. After all, we watched as the one above all forged it all, including when he created man, and molded your souls.
You will be very surprised the amount of knowledge one can gain from simply the act of... watching."

As he said those words, a realization hit Lenny in the head. The reason he could not kill Uriel was not because he did not want to. In fact, lenny had long made his resolve. No! It was because Uriel had stopped Lenny from moving. Not Physically, but rather, he had stopped him at the level of the soul. "Every Living thing has a soul. Whether it be demons, humans, angels or even ants. Of course the kind each has differs in a lot of ways from the others, and humans the most unique of us all, have the best kind. But we all still do. Warfare as you know it is not just a physical effort, but also a spiritual one. Rember master's beloved! Even If one wins a physical battle, if he does not win the spiritual one, he has already lost."

The fingers on Lenny's right hand suddenly broke, dropping the sword on the ground. "You see master's beloved. What you see in this world is only half of the truth. In Fact, it is what many call an AFTER TRUTH." on Saying this, Uriel waved a hand, and then half of the world suddenly transford, instantly becoming ethereal. This half of the world that had transford changed all the way to Lenny's side, stopping right in the center of his body. Subconsciously, Lenny looked at his hand. To his surprise, half of his body had been broken and he had wounds.

Similarly, between the soul and body, which do you think ca first?" As Uriel said this, he flew in the air, passing between the ethereal soul world and the physical world. Lenny noticed that when he passed through the Ethereal Soul world. Uriel looked like an empty casket of a person. His white glowing fine skin looked like it was lted skin wrapped around bones. "Although the body dies, the soul does not. However, if the soul dies, so does the body. This tells you sothing very important. The soul governs the body. Even better, the soul WORLD governs reality. The question however, is how does this happen?"
Lenny suddenly spoke up, "You are dying...!" Uriel paused and turned to him. He was currently at the Ethereal side showing that his body was decaying, and decaying fast. "Yes, Yes I am. But that is not the problem. The matter that we have at hand is a more serious matter. So please... LISTEN!"
He turned about, "As I was saying, before you rude interrupted ...again!
If the Soul world governs reality, then how does one find control in the soul world, so that he might control reality even before it happens?
In fact, how can one ACCESS the soul world. You see, the reality of the soul world has always been before Your eyes. But the mundane, blinded by the run from pain and the seeking of desire keeps one grounded."
On Saying this, Lenny suddenly had a quick flash back. These sa words, he had heard it from soone else. However, it had been said in an entirely different light. It was from master Lucian. "There is a world before ours that is entangled with ours. It is goal of the Monastery of Pain and pleasure to seek out this world. many have have stipulated that one must flee from both pain and pleasure to reach it, and another that one must run towards pain and pleasure to reach it. But This is a contradiction of each other.
For it is in man's nature to run from pain, and run towards desire. Applying the natural rule for one on both sides will yield of course, no fruit." On Saying this, Lenny rembered that master Lucian had drank a cup of sweet tea, but afterwards, he had complained of it being extrely bitter. This was not knew to Lenny. It was a part of training. It was the act of switching the natural properties of one's body. Sweet becos bitter, and soar becos salty.
Thinking this far, the answer suddenly hit Lenny in the head. "To run from pleasure, but to run to pain?" He answered out. Uriel chuckled, "You are almost there. but its a step deeper than that. The Soul is only a dium to understand and embrace the physical world. If you want to conquer the physical world, you must suffer the understanding of the two extremities of pain and pleasure, and..."
"rge them!" Lenny answered.
"Yes, now you get it!" Uriel congratulated Lenny. Lenny thought hard at this, and then he suddenly closed his eyes. In his consciousness, he could see the giant green form that was his soul. Instantly, he willed, connecting with both pain and pleasure, Yin and yang, and then it happened. All of a sudden, he opened his eyes, and then he found himself floating in the air. Both sothing did not feel right. Lenny looked behind, and then he saw it. He had removed his soul from his body. When he closed his eyes, he could still see what his body was seeing, but when he opened them, he could see what his soul was seeing. And then he saw the connection all around him. Little sparkles, like dust, but every thing was connected to the other. It was all a giant web.
It was all connected. Lenny could see that the parts of his body that had been damaged had been connected to these dust of strings connected to Uriel's hand. The only difference was that these strings shone in a silver light. "Congratulations, Master beloved. You have now discovered it. The thread that we call the cage, but you mortals call FATE..." (Author's note: Don't worry guys we are almost done with the lessons from Uriel. Its just that all this is important for the next arc. Besides, lenny is Learning. The adversities are going to be more dangerous...)
