Death’s words wrapped around him like a shroud, warm yet chilling, whispering with a knowing certainty.

"Why do you hesitate? Why do you refuse the gift that is yours by right?"

Enel’s breath ca short as realization struck.

When he first entered this nexus, the system had given him an alert.

At the ti, it hadn’t made sense. The dead had no emotions, no desires, no will. Yet, he had felt sothing flowing into him—a thick, invisible essence like an unseen tide, whispering in the back of his mind. Instinctively, he had restrained it, unsure whether it was a boon or a curse.

But now... now it all made sense.

He was Death’s betrothed. And that was not just a na—it was a bond. A connection deeper than life itself, one that granted him the authority over sothing no ordinary being could wield.

The hatred of the dead.

And hatred, when left to fester, beca sothing far more powerful than re emotion—it beca will. The collective will of countless souls who had perished in agony, betrayed, abandoned, or forgotten. Their suffering had beco fuel. A power he had neglected.

And now, standing at the edge of annihilation before a spell that could erase him from existence, there was only one answer.

If this power was his to take—then he would take it.

A slow, dark grin pulled at Enel’s lips.

Then why not?

His body loosened, his restraints shattered.

A pulse of energy burst from his form. The mont his limits were lifted, his body moved.

Durgia barely had ti to process what had happened.

The miniature star hurtled toward Enel, a cosmic force destined to erase all in its path. She smirked at the spectacle, convinced of his impending doom.

Then the world blinked.

Her smile froze.

Before her, the battlefield trembled as a mushroom cloud of destruction shot toward the heavens, the sheer energy tearing through reality itself. The crater it left behind was massive, a wound upon the land.

Yet before the explosion’s aftershock could reach its full devastation—

A single hand waved.

Alexander.

The mont his fingers flicked through the air, the blast was silenced—as if it had never existed, its force swatted aside like an annoying insect.

And then—

A breath.

A whisper of hot air against Durgia’s ear.

A voice—deep, primal, and soaked in bloodlust.

"Where are you looking? Your death is here."

Durgia’s pupils shrank.

Behind her, Enel lood like a beast of nightmares, his presence so overwhelming it swallowed the very air around him. His body radiated heat, a predator’s hunger crackling in every fiber of his being.

His fingers twitched—bent into claws—his posture that of a hunter who had already decided the fate of its prey.

The mont she turned—

He struck.

Durgia’s instincts scread at her, and she imdiately moved, vanishing in a blur of motion. She was fast—fast enough that most enemies wouldn’t even see her move.

But she was too slow.

The instant Enel had appeared behind her, he had activated another ability.

This skill was simple in concept, but terrifying in execution. It allowed him to dedicate everything—every ounce of his strength, speed, reflexes, and perception—to a single purpose.

And combined with , it made him unstoppable.

One ability turned him into an unrelenting force, and the other refined that force into a killing machine.

Durgia had moved just in ti—or so she thought.

She was about to smirk at her escape when sothing felt wrong.

From the corner of her eye, she saw Naamah standing frozen, her expression contorted in shock.

Durgia’s gut twisted. ’Why is she looking at like that?’

Then ca the splash of blood in the air.

The mont stretched into eternity as she finally felt it—the wet warmth of her own blood coating her body, the sharp bite of agony racing through her nerves.

Her head snapped downward, and her eyes widened in horror.

Her right arm—no, what remained of it—was a grotesque sight. The flesh had been stripped away in jagged chunks, the muscle torn and shredded. The only reason her bones were still intact was the guiding runes embedded within them.

What...?

What just happened? My beautiful skin...!!!

The pain finally reached her mind, and her body seized up.

"FUCK!" she roared, staggering back. Sweat dripped from her face as she clenched her remaining fist. The sheer agony was suffocating, but she bit her tongue, refusing to scream.

How the hell is he this fast?!

She didn’t waste a second.

Even as pain racked her body, her fingers snapped through the air, drawing intricate, glowing patterns faster than the eye could follow.

Six runes ignited around her simultaneously.

A feat that should have been impossible for any normal spell caster. Much lesser one with only one hand.

A single rune spell of law required intense focus and power, but Durgia? She had cast six at once. The space around her crackled, thick with raw energy as the magic surged to life.

The first rune——distorted gravity in an area, aiming to collapse Enel’s body under a hundred tis the normal force.

The second rune——sent spectral bindings whipping toward him, chains woven from pure arcane law, unbreakable to normal physical force.

The third rune——materialized a lance of condensed dark matter, so dense it bent the light around it, aid to pierce Enel’s heart in a single thrust.

The fourth rune——unleashed a ripple of magic that decayed everything in its path, turning the ground itself into crumbling ash.

The fifth rune——warped the air around her, splitting her presence into multiple mirage-like copies, making it nearly impossible to track her real location.

The sixth rune——ignited a massive sphere of burning plasma above her, a miniaturized star, ready to collapse and explode at her will.

The sheer power was suffocating. The battlefield trembled, the very laws of nature bending under the weight of her spells.

This was why she was a Sister of Eve.

A witch of unparalleled mastery.

She smirked, convinced that this ti, Enel was finished.

anwhile, Alexander watched the battle from his corner with a cheering look on his face. It was as if the sight of blood made him quite happy...

And then Durgia felt it again.

A presence.

Behind her.

Her blood ran cold.

Her instincts scread as she twisted around, but she already knew.

It was him.

Again.

There was no way. There was no way!

Yet—there he stood.

Enel.

His breath was slow, asured—his gaze locked onto her with a predator’s stillness. His body radiated hunger.

Because he had discovered sothing.

Durgia was terrifying at range. A nightmare to anyone foolish enough to face her magic head-on.

But in close quarters?

She was nothing.

And that was the weakness his had honed in on.

His single-minded purpose.

His absolute, undeniable certainty.

She was prey.

And she had nowhere left to run.
