It was all just one Entity. It was all one entity.
This realization was a significant blow. After all, it ant that when they had entered this place, they had literally entered the belly of a devil.
And everything within this giant complex devil was designed such that they could kill intruders so that they could be digested by the devil.
It was no wonder that the blood and guts after killing the devils could be so easily cleared by the dungeon. that was the devil body enjoying the al.
Practically speaking, the devils within it were created in small spaces that had different ti dilations for the specific purpose of aiding digestion for the main devil body, but at the sa ti, create the illusion that the combatants had any control in their fate in the first place.
This was indeed a very chilling thought process. It was no wonder the others participating had said that no one had ever cleared this dungeon. The truth was that no one could ever clear it. After all, it was not even a dungeon.
Lenny could not help but wonder if those two mischievous won, Lamastu and Naamah knew about this all along. After all, it did not seem like sothing that should easily skip their observation.
Lenny believed that they were far too intelligent not to know such a thing. And yet they did not inform any of the warriors that they had sent into this place.
After all, such information would increase the likelihood of success, but at the sa ti, It would make people less interested in participating. After all, not many people would willing dive into the literal belly of a Devil.
aning that they had to make it look like this journey to this place was aningful, even though it was absolute trash. it wa sno wonder that they made it an event where people could even be eliminated, and then they was the promise of a reward if one wonder. indeed, it was an incredible plan that was well thought of.
Instead of forcing the people, it was easier to just lure them in with the promise of benefits.
At the sa ti, Lenny could tell that they was more to this than what t the eye.
After all, those won would not shoot their best warriors into the belly of a literal giant devil that was feeding on the umbilical cord of two conjoined planes.
There was a reason for it. there was an aim, sothing that they wanted and could only get from this place. Sothing that was so important that they could sacrifice even the lives of their bests.
And then another revelation hit him in the head. It was possibly the reason why they slept with him. They pumped him full of so much knowledge as a secret weapon within this place.
in other words, if Lenny had not proven himself to be exemplary in the Tests, then they would have still done the deed with whosoever they thought was more capable.
Most likely the old Elf, just to push him to the point of capability that they wanted.
Lenny gave a side smile. But he did not mind. After all, the gift of incredible knowledge they had given him was now his own and he could use it as he saw fit.
However, for now, he had to solve this obstacle that was in his path.
At such a ti, it happened. He found sothing deep within. It was a Rune mark. The mont he found it, it went back into hiding, like a cell hiding under a cluster of other cells.
However, this had captured his curiosity and he wanted to find it again, after all, he had only seen that mark on very few occasions.
he dug deep, but the mark as if aware that he was unto it dove even deeper.
At the rate it went, Lenny knew he might not see it again and confirm his suspicions, and so he activated his chaos magic, breaking apart the obstructions in his path.
anwhile, his invasion had caused boxes in the room to open up and devils were rushing in from all sides.
The Old Elf frowned at his, "What are you doing. There is more of them."
But there was not just more of them, but even more powerful Devils. The walls seed to open up, becoming bigger and larger as Devils swarm into the place on all sides.
Soon, the fighters were becoming overwheld, with so of the Crystal trees being destroyed instantly.
The old Elf used techniques to even the battlefield. Runes spread out from his body that ford a defensive shield all around them.
But even more devils had co out, many were of the greater Devil realm.
They slamd hard on the defensive shield, and it began to crack.
"What Are You doing, D999!?" The Old Man scread out.
However, Lenny remained still as he concentrated even more. Finally, he grabbed the rune. And then a realization ca to him.
This rune, three inverted ’6’ that could also look like a three ’9’s depending on how one looked at it was the sa one in his heart. the sa one that had been on his son that he had killed.
Aside from himself, his son, and his father, there was only one other place he had seen this mark. Yes, it was on Anguis, the Devil’s Holy Tool.
Lenny opened his eyes with a realization. After all, he had done it. He had figured out the identity of this dungeon. It was not Dungeon, and was definitely not a devil like he had thought it was.
Instead, it was a person, or at least a part of one of three. This was...
