"you are indeed incredible. I now see why even Solomon has his eyes on you. Even an obvious death trap I set for you could not kill you."
Lenny looked at the direction from which the familiar voice had co from.
Tomato sniffed in the air. "Is that a friend of your’s? it slls familiar!"
lenny gave a smirk. "Of course she does. After all, she has been the person feeding you all in the dungeon. Or is that not right, Kanada?"
Kanada stepped forward. She indeed have a smile on her face. "How did you figure it out?"
"Common sense!" Lenny replied. "All I had to do was simply connect the dots in place and that was it. Instantly, I understood why things where the way they were. And why out of all the Devil Dungeons in this Sub-plane, you decided to send to this one...No! You fed to this one."
Kanada chuckled, "well, that is a way to put it. But you are not wrong. I did feed you to them."
"Why!?" Lenny suddenly frowned, "why did you do it?"
She raised a brow at him, "what do you an by ’why’? Because I can you stupid moron. Can’t you look around you. This place is done for. This Azure Festival will be the last one that this Sub-plane will ever experience. After which it will et its end at their hands."
"Whose hands?"
"The BLOODY sister’s of Eve. Who else do you think?"
Lenny frowned, "I thought you were a comrade of Solomon, why did you have to betray ?"
"Comrade?" she cracked a dry laugh, "don’t make cry, boy. We of the Brotherhood are indeed allies, and do have one goal, but how we reach it is entirely our business. And like any organization, we do have our frictions. Sotis, we use eacxh other to achieve that aim. In our thousands of years of existence, we have evolved to understanding that we have to play dirty against those foolish puppets of fate if we want to achieve our goal."
Lenny heard those words and surprisingly, he could relate. He had been in this world for a while, and even without his complete mories, he could tell that survival in this world happened by stepping on others.
"...Or did you think that Solomon saved your life because he wanted to? If you must know, Solomon’s ti manipulation capabilities are not so limitless. They also co with laws. Laws that are more rigid than the toughest cosmic laws. He only gave you a lending hand because you were of use to him. In fact, everything that old fool has done is in respect to this. Even that whore of a witch you birthed with was within his plans."
"Huh!?" Lenny had a surprise look on his face. At the mont, he had no mory of such, and Kanada could instantly tell his confusion.
"No matter, those are plans that I am not privileged to share. Although he did warn of your capabilities, it is indeed a wonder to see them for myself." She suddenly raised a hand to him, "...Now, hand them over!"
Lenny raised a brow at her, "...Hand what over?"
"The Laws you took after defeating the Devil Bosses. I know you took the laws. Surely, even you could not have digested so much law fractions in such a short amount of ti. Hand them over."
Lenny could not help but crack a chuckle, "...well if you must know, I can’t do that. Even if I wanted to, I can’t. Firstly, you are not a part of my Lenny family and even if you are, the laws are now mine. the best I can do is lend you their comprehension."
At such a ti, if Kanada had eyes, they would have twiched in anger. "How dare you play gas with ? Do you know how long and how hard I worked for the Devils of that dungeon to comprehend those laws? Firstly, I had to redirect the purpose that that the Morningstar had encoded in their genes.
That way, their existence would not be to gift treasures but rather, beco them. It took hundreds of years feeding them the right ingredients and eliminating the fouls from their midst. This Dungeon is my hard work. It is my seven hundred year farm, and today, when I co to pluck the cattle of its at, you want to steal it from ? Do You think that you are that strong?"
On saying this, the air suddenly crackled with energy. However, it was none of the energies that Lenny was familiar with when it ca to demons and devils.
Rather, it was energy he had only seen amongst one race of beings. Yes, it was faith energy.
"Faith energy?" Lenny thought to himself. According to what he rembered, Kanada was once a Tool of Fate. This ant that she was not like the gods that had been born out of Faith and worship. Since she broke her connections with the Sisters of Fate, she should not have any other source of power.
But what he saw surprised him.
Now that he thought about it, nothing about Kanada was normal. She had known about his arrival even before he ca, and she was even capable of rewriting a genetic code written by the Morningstar himself, even controlling the birth of laws within the dungeon, and now, she had Faith energy.
lenny’s senses told ghim that he was dealing with a very dangerous being.
Just then, he rembered sothing. "Those people of the land that co to you for prediction in your shop at the Pig market. That’s how you developed faith energy, is it not?"
She smiled, "Of course. You are catching on fast. Faith energy is actually easy to amass. even those humans on earth use them without knowing. As long as enough people believe, they can be harvested of their faith, and after many years, that Faith becos..."
