P.O.V - David.

I was talking when Conan cuts off.

"Do not try to dodge the question hyung.

Where are you coming from?" He asks again.

Damn, why does he sound like a mom who just caught her son sneaking into the house after a late night out.

I heave a sigh.

"If you must know, I went to get clothes for you guys." I say as I show him the bag in my hand.

"I see, so what’s the blood on your cloth then?" He asks pointing to a spot at the side of my garnt.

Woah, didn’t know that got on there.

"Well..." I say trying to co up with an excuse.

"Seeing that you brought clothes, it must an you either went to your place or the village and I am guessing the village." He says.

"That is not your blood is it?

Did you encounter people there?

Bad guys?

You probably killed them, all didn’t you?" He says as he walks towards .

Why the fuck is this little kid so smart?

Suddenly, he drops to his knees and with his hands to the ground, face down, he says;

"Please take in as your disciple and teach Martial Arts, please big brother Yeong."

Huh?

HUH!!??

What is he suddenly talking about?

"H...hey, Conan what are you doing?" I say as I squat in front of him.

"I... I couldn’t do anything as I watched my family die.

I couldn’t do anything as I watched my friends die.

I couldn’t do anything as I watched Da Som die slowly and painfully.

I...if only... if only I was stronger, I could have been able to stop them, but I couldn’t do anything, nothing at all but run away with my tails between my legs.

Please brother, please." He pleads, I could feel the weight in his voice.

For a little child to be going through such.

Now I felt more angry about the whole situation.

But I can’t.

I cannot teach him Martial Arts.

Aside from my Phantom Technique and The Heavenly Demon Technique, I have no indepth understanding of any other Martial Arts techniques.

I can’t teach him the Phantom Technique, it’s basically for killing, that would be turning a young child into an assassin.

I also cannot teach him the Heavenly Demon Technique.

This technique chooses its user.

Without the right conditions, if the technique doesn’t accept him he could loose his life.

Besides, he’s just a kid.

I know he might eventually need to learn Martial Arts in the future but the way of a Martial Artist is never smooth, it is always rough and bloody.

I do not think it is my place to put him on such a path.

"I’m sorry Conan, I don’t think I can grant this request of yours." I calmly say to him.

"Wh...why?" He asks as he raises his teary eyes to look at .

I almost broke looking at his eyes.

"I’m sorry but, I just can’t." I say as I look away and rise to my feet.

"Wh...whyyy!! am I not qualified?

What do I need to do?

Tell !!

I’ll do anything!!

Anything at all to never feel this helpless again!!

Please brother!!

Please..." He yells and then begins sobbing.

I felt really bad.

But I shouldn’t, at least not until he is old enough to make proper decisions for himself.

"I’m sorry Conan." I say and walk deeper into the cave.

The children who had woken up due to Conan’s yelling go over to him to console him.

Ae Cha hugged him close.

Walking in I go to seat beside the Beast.

I tried cultivating to get my mind away from this.

After siting for thirty minutes and realizing I couldn’t concentrate I got up and decided to go fetch dinner.

"I’m going to get us sothing to eat, I’ll be back." I say as I got to my feet.

"Conan, please distribute the clothes amongst yourselves." I say as I walk out the cave.

I walk for a while away from the cave but I do not see anything I could hunt.

Well that is understandable, this is the territory of a level ten Spirit Beast after all.

I move farther and farther.

Damn, I feel like shit.

Not being able to help Conan out, that makes feel really bad.

Maybe I should search for a suitable technique for him.

I was still wholed up in my thoughts when I suddenly feel a presence approaching at imnse speed.

Before I could react a Beast pounces on pinning to the ground.

I look up and what would you know, it was Turbo.

He was licking my face excited to see .

Wow, so he was still alive.

That’s cool.

He gets off and I rise to my feet.

He looked rough and had a barely healed scar on his thigh but overall he was ok.

I pet him and he took to where I could find things to hunt outside of the Bears territory.

Together we hunted so nice at and headed back together.

Approaching the cave he beca really wary but I assured him that it was ok.

Arriving at the entrance of the cave the Mother Bear senses Turbo and imdiately dashes out growling at it.

Turbo went on the defensive growling back.

It seed like if I didn’t stop them they were going to clash, so I did.

I ca between them and assured them both that we were all friends.

The mother bear cald down but of course she wasn’t willing to share her space with another Spirit Beast so Turbo stays outside.

I go in and the children had worn so of the clothes I got.

They looked better.

Inside the cave I make a fire and began preparing the at as dusk fell.

I had to make sure the at was soft enough for the children to properly eat so I took so ti but after almost two hours it was ready.

I served the children.

I gave so raw and cooked to both the Mother Bear and Turbo.

I heave a long sigh as I stand at the entrance of the cave looking up into the night sky.

Conan slowly cos behind .

"Ummm...I...I’m sorry big brother, I’m sorry for yelling at you.

I know you do really care for us and you must have your reasons.

I’m sorry for how I spoke to you earlier." He says with a bow of the head.

I stand there surprised.

Isn’t he supposed to be a kid?

How is he so mature?

Looking at him I couldn’t help but smile.

"Its alright." I say smiling as I ruffle his hair.

We stood looking at the night sky for a while before we turn to go in.

Now I have to go and think of how to attack the people sent by the Grand Elder to massacre the village.

I’ll move tomorrow.

You all who killed innocent souls, tomorrow shall be your last day on this land.

P.O.V - Diana.

After about a day and a half of journey after dropping off Namgoong Yeong we finally arrive at the Clan.

We were greeted by a lot of people and rather than going to rest this old n organized a eting.

During the eting we inford them of how the journey went.

They also told us about the attack on the Clan.

They were able to resist them though.

I was happy everyone was ok.

Though I have two things on my mind right now.

One. Why is Dang Ki Ran here, and shes together with Dang Hyuk.

What the hell is going on between those two.

It better not be what I think it is or I’m killing Dang Hyuk.

Two. Who the fuck is that middle aged lady who has been staring at since, standing beside the Grand Elder?

She looked pretty even though she looked around fifty.

She had tattoos up her right hand and neck.

She had two daggers and a sword hung on her waist.

Her hair was black.

She looked strong.

"Hmmm, a Martial Master, yes, definitely." I say to myself though she tried concealing her Martial Arts Level.

The eting continued for a while and after about two hours it finally ca to an end.

I wanted to just go to my room but of course I had to greet the First Elder and Grand Elder.

I also had to et Dang Ki Ran too.

"Late Peak huh? You really are sothing else." The Grand Elder says to .

"Congratulations on your advancent Dang So." The First Elder says to .

"Thank you very much First Elder." I reply.

We speak a little bit more and I am approached by Dang Soha.

Her expression still as unreadable as always.

"I am really glad to have another strong female in the Clan, we need to speak." She says as she pats my shoulder and leaves just like that.

That’s supposed to be her happy face?

Dang Ki Ran walks up to and hugs , sinking my head into her breast.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve missed this but first...

"Why are you with this guy?" I ask as I withdraw.

She looked hesitant as she tried to speak.

"Well..."
