Describing the current town as harboring filth may be biased, but it certainly bears no connection to purity.

Cult sacrifices, bloody rituals, heretical churches, capturing populations—everything that Weird Lair has, they have, only wrapped in the guise of order.

The ergence of Land of Light has sowhat changed them.

Just like the Ghoul Clans are rely weak and filthy monstrous clans, but the King of Ghouls behind them makes most monstrous clans reluctant to provoke them.

Similarly, Land of Light has also beco a "backer," rewarding monstrosities targeting humans.

Although Land of Light lacks the power to extend its influence beyond Ailen Peninsula, these illusory falsehoods indeed provide hope to those in darkness.

At least when they look up at the cloud of hopelessness, they say: Look, it’s us humans dispelling the darkness.

Even in Blackbox Town, people can only speak of survival.

From mansion to street, from street to city wall, the red copper that isolates monstrosities brings a sense of weight, along with actual protection.

Lu Li saw many strange and indescribable peculiar shapes following the townsfolk.

They couldn’t see them, nor were they curses.

Just like Little Remi of Claire, what Lu Li saw was not a soul, but the regrets and obsessions in everyone’s hearts.

Yet, indeed so monstrosities silently mixed in among them.

On the street, passing by a young resident, Lu Li suddenly raised his hand to grasp the grudge shadow floating behind him. The weak grudge shadow that sneaked into Blackbox Town unnoticed struggled and dissipated, like a breeze without scent brushing past.

Only the young resident was startled, quickly stepping back, opening his mouth as if ready to scream.

"A possessed monstrosity, it’s already gone," Lu Li said to the young man.

The young resident hesitated, frequently focusing on Lu Li’s black hair and black eyes.

A small bandaged silhouette poked its head from behind Lu Li: "Just as you think, he’s an Exorcist."

The young resident’s emotions were complex, while in Lu Li’s perception, many illusory faces appeared on his face, sotis sobbing, sotis joyous, sotis angry, soti pained.

"Is Land of Light really that beautiful..."

Finally, the young resident asked with fragile hope.

Pure answers were weak, so Claire used the Sunshine Box to prove the beauty.

Pale golden light like dawn poured out, drawing the attention of nearby zombie-like human residents; they paused, their numb faces seeming to co alive in the sunlight.

Then, Claire snapped shut the Sunshine Box with a "snap," stopping the outstretched hand in midair: "I can’t give it to you."

"Let see it again... I beg you."

The young resident pleaded, and the townspeople gradually gathered, their dirty faces showing a hope never seen before.

Lu Li stopped the guards who were about to drive the residents away, letting Claire hand over the Sunshine Box: "Tell the residents to place the Sunshine Box in the square."

It counted as a gift from Lu Li to the residents of Blackbox Town.

Catching the Sunshine Box, the guard rembered, chasing the residents away, those wanting to follow were blocked by a wall ford by wild winds, forced to leave.

"It seems like we’re undermining Blackbox Town...they must want to go to Land of Light desperately," Claire looked at the increasingly bustling Blackbox Town and recalled a saying, "I could endure the darkness if I had not seen the sun."

"They fled from the wilderness; we have been sustaining this burden, only enough to keep them from starving..."

Priy Rogglinton appeared from the shadows, wrapped in a cloak making him look like a bat.

The bandage wrapped around his left arm diminished the sense of mystery.

Priy Rogglinton invited them to visit the family mansion—other Clan Leaders were also there.

Lu Li and the others followed Priy Rogglinton to the center of Blackbox Town, to a red copper building surrounded by red copper, with few and narrow windows like a castle, imagining how dark and... safe it was inside.

No amount of candelabras and oil lamps could dispel the basent-like eerie gloom of the hall, where outlines sat before a long table, cloaked, or with aberrant limbs exposed. Shattering the mysterious and bizarre atmosphere of the eting were the bandages wrapped around them—

"After the fall of Midnight City, only these remain of the Bloodline Family Alliance..."

Priy Rogglinton lanted, for instance, Fudote’s family was already gone.

anwhile, Lu Li observed the outlines seated at the chairs. In his sight, an extraordinary scene unfolded around them: hissing centipedes wailing, a headless silhouette trailing behind a black-robed Clan Leader, low-growling beasts in confrontation, or one threateningly roaring at him—not at Lu Li, but beside Claire.

Are these the Soul Projections of the Clan Leaders or latent emotions?

The outside and Lu Li’s revival disrupted the original atmosphere; Lu Li directly invited the Clan Leaders, with the condition that the knowledge of the Bloodline Family Alliance must be unconditionally open—apart from Vena Underground City, no other allies had this clause.

But correspondingly, the knowledge of Land of Light would also be open to them.

No fools jumped out to oppose it; survival or destruction, it’s an easy choice.

Additionally, Land of Light would engage in trade with Blackbox Town, exchanging goods and crops.

"Land of Light is big enough; why don’t you move there, make a fist with your fingers?"

The Clan Leaders fell silent, and Priy Rogglinton explained the reason: the Bloodline Family Alliance had invested too much in Blackbox Town. Even with the death of Alien God Astos they controlled, they still had confidence to stand in the wilderness.

After the eting ended, Priy Rogglinton left the hall with Lu Li.

"His Excellency Lulian, did you notice anything?"

Priy Rogglinton detected Lu Li’s perception, and when Lu Li told him he could see things humans couldn’t, he suddenly excitedly spoke of his son.

"I can feel that he’s been ho for over a decade, can you go and have a look?"

Lu Li agreed with Priy Rogglinton, following him to the Rogelinton Family estate, stepping into a spotless bedroom.

Then, Lu Li saw an ordinary freckled young man sitting at a desk looking up.

"He’s my son..."

After Lu Li described the young man’s image, Priy Rogglinton seed like an old man, trembling as he held onto the door fra, "Can you talk to him?"

Lu Li looked at the young man, who was looking at the aged Priy Rogglinton, his lips moving.

"He said, ’The accident twenty years ago wasn’t your fault, it’s ti to let go.’"

Tears flowed down the grooves on Priy Rogglinton’s face, the freckled young man’s outline gradually faded, finally looking at Lu Li with gratitude, then completely disappeared.

Priy Rogglinton finally let go of past obsessions.

Lu Li passed by the sobbing old man, returning to Claire leaning by the corridor window.

"Not surprising for you, easily conquering a deeply-rooted old stubborn."

"How long until Chris returns?"

Ding ding ding—

A series of urgent bells echoed over Blackbox Town, interrupting their conversation.

People on the streets hurried and silently ran by while guards shouted, getting closer:

"Silent Monts is approaching! All townsfolk, be silent!"
