Capítulo 1334: Chapter 174: The Death of Asamonsi
Lu Li seed to have a long dream, a complete Death Retrace.
And at the end of the long and real story, the truth was revealed: it was the story of the Uninvited Guests.
They encountered the sa situation as Sara and Adam did back then:
Nightmare · Three · Sara’s Book of Death;
Nightmare · Seven · Lurid Syndro.
The seventh part of a work called Nightmare, where an evil spirit or demon drives a poor man howard into madness, turning him into the protagonist of Nightmare, and an evil spirit.
Only the question also arose—what does this have to do with Asamonsi, why is Lu Li’s Delirium related to the Uninvited Guests?
Knock, knock, knock—
The knocking brought Lu Li’s consciousness back to reality. The experience wasn’t long, so it didn’t leave him bewildered. Lu Li saw Claire by the round table, the Undead, and Asamonsi rising to open the door.
Knock, knock, knock—
The second slow knocking resounded.
Unaware of Lu Li’s awakening, Asamonsi opened the door, and a silhouette with a wide-brimd hat unsurprisingly stood outside.
“Please co in and rest for a while.” Asamonsi invited the Uninvited Guests.
Watching the outline flowing with water at the door, Lu Li realized it was the Uninvited Guests who had freed him from Asamonsi. The cause stemd from the conversation a few days ago and that eye.
The short lives of people in this eerie era usually encounter 6~7 evil spirits each year. Thus, to Asamonsi, the Uninvited Guests were not unfamiliar.
But this ti, the Uninvited Guests were different—they didn’t leave directly after breaking the ritual.
Before Asamonsi could react, the lurid dream wrapped him up.
Lu Li stood beside Asamonsi, looking at the Uninvited Guests outside, “I will find your wife and children as promised, in Kazgir.”
The Uninvited Guests then left with sars of rainwater and seawater dripping.
“There seems to be so changes I’m not aware of…” Asamonsi was surprised by Lu Li’s awakening, “An Exorcist skilled at creating miracles, perhaps.”
Spores drifted in the invisible wind, blocking the lurid glow outside. Lu Li turned his attention back to Claire and the Undead at the table, strange, indifferent, emotionless, controlled by Asamonsi.
Lu Li captured Asamonsi in a dream, “Lift the restraints on Claire and the Undead.”
“Then let you kill without burden?” Asamonsi clearly didn’t want to comply.
“Why are you doing this?” Lu Li couldn’t comprehend.
And Asamonsi admitted, “Don’t expect a madman to be rational and clear.”
“You’re not a madman.”
“People corrupted by darkness are far more terrifying than madn.”
Lu Li didn’t have much ti to waste, he processed Asamonsi’s words, dragging him out of the tomb.
Claire and the Undead, manipulated by Asamonsi, followed.
A foul and repugnant atmosphere pervaded the ground, as Lu Li drew a Summoning Array of the wise race Snan on a spacious open area, while conversing with Asamonsi.
“What’s your ability?”
“It’s sowhat like the Erald Dream. I can make them fall into self-doubt Delirium, exile their souls, control their bodies.” Asamonsi added weight for his life, “If you kill , their souls will be banished forever, unable to return.”
Asamonsi might be lying, but the cost of guessing wrong was too heavy.
“The Gardener’s ability is impressive.” Lu Li sincerely praised.
“The Viscount’s ability would be even more formidable,” Asamonsi said, “like making you easily believe…”
“Unless you can break the Dreamwalker, otherwise bewitchnt won’t work on ,” Lu Li cut off Asamonsi like a villain revealing his weakness to the protagonist of the story.
“Bewitchnt? It’s not that, you can view it as a warning from my temporary clarity,” Asamonsi whispered along with Lu Li who was drawing the array, “Chris and the Keeper of the Realm have an inseparable connection…”
“Maybe what you say is correct, but I think—”
“Speaking ill of others behind their backs is a bad habit, Asamonsi.”
An unexpected lazy voice descended in the large graveyard.
“How co you’re here?” Lu Li continued drawing, seeing Chris erging from the darkness.
“I can’t really let you be dealt with by Asamonsi, but judging by now, you’ve done well.” A lazy low chuckle evoked the curve under the shadow.
“Chris…” Asamonsi looked at her complexly, “Didn’t expect us to et under such circumstances.”
Lu Li wished for no unforeseen events, “Won’t your arrival expose you to the Superior?”
Chris ignored Asamonsi’s complexity and guilt, “So I snuck over.”
“What was Asamonsi’s point of corruption?” Lu Li asked as the crude summoning array neared completion.
“Before his first contact with the Swamp.”
“Why did he fall?”
Asamonsi remained silent, but Chris answered lightly against the heavy truth, “There is no true immortality, even the eternally ancient Ancients. The Undead’s bodies don’t die but decay, Asamonsi’s soul immortal but erodes.”
At this mont, the array was complete, Asamonsi recognized the summoning ritual, “The wise race Snan… you want to…”
The wise race Snan erged in the array with the final offering “A Glass of Wisdom,” then as Asamonsi thought, Lu Li purchased his mory—before his first contact with the Swamp.
The Crown of Knowledge returned the mixed mories to Asamonsi, the dust of sealed mories dissipated, and Asamonsi regained clarity.
Claire and the Undead were subsequently freed.
“Lu Li… traitor!”
Claire rebuked Asamonsi, but beca tense when she saw her mother was present.
The Undead nodded to Lu Li, without approaching Asamonsi, nor Chris.
If releasing Claire and the Undead couldn’t signify Asamonsi’s clarity, then the subsequent words showed he truly had awakened, “Kill .”
“Not necessary.”
“You must kill .” Asamonsi did not absolve himself of suspicion, “The Dark Master has already corrupted my soul, it won’t be long before I lose myself again…”
“No solution?”
“Lu Li, I’m Claire, let the Dreamwalker go and allow in,” Claire suddenly sounded with an odd intonation.
“See that? As long as the root isn’t excised, the influence will perpetuate,” Asamonsi said deeply while still controlling Claire, “Only death can resolve.”
He added the final weight for his death, “I told the Earth Dwellers you were here.”
“It’s what he deserved.”
Chris suddenly said quietly.
After a long gaze at the resolute Asamonsi, Lu Li nodded, and the Spirit-Calling Gun manifested in the dream leaned against Asamonsi’s forehead.
“What will you do with it after fulfilling the covenant of the Uninvited Guests?” In his final mont, Asamonsi thought of sothing.
“The sa as with you.”
Dust to dust, ashes to ashes.
