Everyone looked at Mykel inside the cube, devouring Elena's life energy as he was being crushed by it. It wasn't a pleasant experience and it felt more like torture knowing the energy not only crushed his body but also burned his inside. But even so, he could withstand it to so extent where he had to focus on devouring it or he would be the one who got devoured.
Luciel kept maintaining the [Fracture] and [Absolute] skills to hold Mykel in the cube. With The Lord's power that surged inside her and since her sisters were within her body, they all shared the power evenly, making it possible to withstand his power. But the problem would be how long she should keep doing that because it took a huge toll on her body and her sisters as well.
"Amy, how long until you can understand the power inside Mykel?" Elena asked.
"Barely, I might only scraping the surface right now. I'm using my clones to work on it and I can't estimate how long it will take," Amaryllis answered. She looked a bit disappointed and pressured knowing she was the only one that might be able to solve the problem.
"Speak with Nal, Odin, Shelly, Rozan, and perhaps The Lord as well. You need their brains and knowledge, and maybe bring everyone with you to discuss it," Elena pointed out with a restless expression and her arms crossed. "We don't have much ti, and we won't get another chance," Elena glanced at Amaryllis and then walked away.
Amaryllis nodded her head with understanding and then went to speak with the others to discuss Mykel's power.
Elena stood next to Luciel and then she walked past her to approach Mykel inside the cube. He didn't make a sound or any noise even though he was being tortured. She stood right in front of the cube and watched him with a stoic expression.
"Don't put your hope too high," Mykel said as he looked down to hide his face. "It will hurt when you fall," he warned as he chuckled.
"What do you think I'm hoping for?" Elena asked coldly and still with her stoic expression.
"For Mykel to co back," Mykel answered as he slowly lifted his head to look at Elena. "He's not here anymore. His feelings for you and everyone else are gone, and the only thing that still exists is his mories, but that will disappear soon as well," he continued without showing any expression.
"Hope is the scariest thing that anyone can have. It makes you blind, and it's painful the mont that hope betrays you," Mykel continued as he stared into Elena's eyes. "Until you realized that it would be better to have no expectations. I believe Mykel never taught you to believe in hope, but what you're doing right now is a gamble, and believe in it," he continued because he could read her mind just by staring into her eyes.
Elena didn't say anything, only stared back into Mykel's eyes, trying to see if there would be a glimpse of his soul inside.
"Let crush your hope, Elena," Mykel said as he slowly looked down. "The more you force to take your life energy, the more uncontrollable the power within . If I can't control it, not only you will lose Mykel, but it will erase all his mories as well," he explained.
Elena flinched and clenched her fists the mont she heard that. It stung her heart and it was the most painful feeling she had ever felt because it was sothing that she couldn't fix.
"You can't see in the eyes because you're lying," Elena said as she kept her composure so Mykel couldn't take advantage of her emotions.
"Does it even matter if I lie or not? What you believe in right now is actually in my hand right now," Mykel responded. "I can easily just remove the mories in this body, leaving nothing but emptiness inside. I can even do it now and you can't do anything about it," he continued and started to smirk.
The mind ga that Elena had witnessed and heard her whole life. The ga that Mykel had mastered and could put everyone in the corner quivering helplessly. The ga that she always admired, now she beca the victim of his mind ga, and realized how powerless she was.
"Don't try to use words against . You know better than anyone because you'll only play yourself if you do so," Mykel warned and stared into Elena's soul. "If you don't have anything to say, leave," he said and focused on dealing with the energy that had been accumulating in his body.
At that mont, rather than listening to Mykel's words, Elena tried to decipher the information she got. First, Mykel, or whoever took over his body didn't want to erase the mories that Mykel had. The reason might be that it would be his final option to get out of the worst situation.
Although Elena could see his intentions, she couldn't find a gap to slip in and turn the table. The worst part was no matter how hard she tried, none of the outcos would benefit her. Or that was what he would think, and that was when she smirked and stared into Mykel's eyes.
"Do it. Erase them," Elena said with confidence.
"I knew you would say that," Mykel scoffed. "You have no one else to bla but yourself because as of now, I have been holding back because Mykel has been trying to prevent from taking over his mind and body. You can say goodbye to him now," he continued as he suddenly covered his face with the abyss and that was when Elena realized she had made a grave mistake.
After hearing that millions of thoughts went through her mind because she didn't know if he was bluffing or if he was telling the truth. If he didn't, then she had to find a way to stop him and she would try to destroy the cube to stop him. Nobody knew how strong he could be since he had been holding back. But, if he was, she would only let him free and would waste everyone's effort.
"Please! Don't do it!" Elena shouted and it started Luciel who was busy keeping the cube.
Elena gritted her teeth and clenched her fists as she stared at Mykel with anger, desperation, fear, and anxiety.
"What do you want?" Elena asked in a trembling voice.
"What I want is simple," Mykel said as the abyss on his face started to dissipate. "Just leave and my business alone and we won't see each other ever again," he continued.
"Can you at least give him back? Give Mykel back, please..." Elena asked as her eyes started to glimr in tears.
As Elena's heartfelt plea hung in the air, only silence could be heard. The entity that had taken Mykel's form seed to waver, its malevolent presence less oppressive for a mont. The genuine love Elena felt for Mykel and the desperation to rescue him tugged at sothing deep within the entity.
Mykel's form twitched as if so part of his true self was struggling to break free from the abyss that had ensnared him. His eyes, though still veiled by darkness, flickered with a glimr of recognition.

But just as hope began to swell among Elena and the others, the entity's resolve hardened once more. "It's too late," it hissed, a cruel and mocking grin playing on its lips. "Mykel is gone, and he won't be coming back. This is who he is now, and I intend to embrace it. There's no more Mykel here."
Elena closed her eyes and a single tear fell to her chin as Mykel looked at her. She had nothing to say anymore and so she turned around to leave him alone.
"You said it yourself. You don't want your feelings to interfere with your plan. You can either let go or kill , and that's if you can do it," Mykel said. "Didn't he want to sacrifice himself in the first place? You should have let him do it," he continued.
Elena didn't stop and didn't even bother to listen to his words as Luciel looked at her and knew how she felt. She then joined the others and pretended that nothing had happened even though everyone was eavesdropping on her conversation.
Amaryllis suddenly held Elena's hands and looked her in the eyes.
"It's possible to bring Mykel back," Amaryllis said.
"I don't need comfort, and I don't need possibility. I don't need hope right now," Elena responded with a troubled expression and she looked exhausted.
"Elena, I'm not a living being, I'm a system," Amaryllis pointed out with her eyebrows raised. Elena was confused as her eyebrows furrowed. "System doesn't rely on hope. When there's a possibility, I will make sure to change the possibility into certainty," she continued.
"What's the odd right now?" Elena asked.
"Does it even matter?" Amaryllis asked back with a smile. "What matters right now is to make sure to bring Mykel back with every thod that we can think of," she answered.
"Let's do it," Elena nodded her head with determination.
