“It must be Charles! This man is a master of disguise. Now he’s hidden and we’re exposed – it’s hard to guard against him.” Huangfu Ye tossed a tablet to Beiming Han. It displayed information on Charles’ actions in recent years.
Beiming Han looked at the face on the tablet, a flicker of murderous intent in his eyes.
Charles landed the plane on a deserted island near Ming City. He left the cockpit, stooped down to grab Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian, and hoisted them over his shoulders.
With their mouths taped shut, Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian could only make muffled sounds.
“If you don’t want to suffer, both of you better keep quiet!” Charles warned coldly.
Gu Qingxin glanced at Bai Qianqian, who returned her gaze. They encouraged each other with their eyes.
The island was dotted with countless abandoned villas. It seed to have been developed at so point, but now, for so unknown reason, it had beco desolate.
Carrying both won, Charles entered one of the villas. He dumped Bai Qianqian onto the floor, then, hoisting Gu Qingxin over his shoulder, turned and walked away.
“No! Don’t take her away!”
Bai Qianqian wanted to scream but could only let out muffled sounds. Tied up and helpless, she rolled around on the ground. No, she couldn’t be separated from Gu Qingxin.
But then the door closed, leaving her alone in the room.
Changing her direction, Bai Qianqian kicked the door hard. What on earth was that fiend planning to do with Qingxin?
Gu Qingxin too was terrified, teetering on the brink of tears. Her body was roughly thrown onto the cold ground, the impact almost shattering her insides. The sharp pain brought tears to her eyes.
The man reached out and ripped the tape from her mouth.
“Who are you? Why have you kidnapped us?” Gu Qingxin asked, backing away repeatedly.
Grabbing her by the hair, Charles looked at the beautiful face in front of him and patted her cheek. He smiled, “Beiming Han’s woman?”
“No, you’ve got it wrong! I don’t know any Beiming Han.” Realisation hit Gu Qingxin instantly. This man must be Beiming Han’s enemy. He had kidnapped her to threaten Beiming Han.
The man pressed a gun against Gu Qingxin’s head. Terrified, she tightly shut her eyes, her body trembling uncontrollably.
“Since you don’t know him, I’ll just kill you. There’s no point in keeping you alive!” Charles cocked the gun.
Gu Qingxin clenched her teeth. She was scared, yeah. Who wasn’t afraid of death? But if this man wanted to threaten Beiming Han using her, she couldn’t let Beiming Han get involved.
“I don’t know him!” Gu Qingxin insisted.
“Heh~~ You truly are Beiming Han’s woman, not afraid to die!” Suddenly, Charles lowered his gun.
“I really don’t know him. He just gave
an award today! You can’t threaten him…ugh…”
Charles picked up the tape and once again silenced her.
The man stared at her with a cold expression that gave Gu Qingxin goosebumps. She wasn’t afraid of him killing her. What she feared the most was him doing sothing animalistic to her.
Fortunately, he didn’t.
It was only after the man left that Gu Qingxin breathed a sigh of relief.
She was still wearing her white dress and was almost freezing to death. She both wished that Beiming Han would quickly co to rescue her and feared the dangers he might face doing so.
She had no idea how Qianqian was faring. It seed this man’s target was Beiming Han, in which case, she, not Qianqian, was in the greatest danger.
