Bai Jingqing furrowed his brows in frustration, his heart filled with an inexplicable irritability. He despised the current situation; his family had co, and she had to sneak around and hide…

Seeing that Bai Jingqing was alright, Bai Qianqian decided to head ho after dinner. She could no longer keep Bai Mo’s matter a secret from her mother. As it concerned her brother’s future, she needed to discuss it with her mother.

Gu Qingxin went to her mother’s flower shop. Lin Yin was surprised to see her coming over at this hour but soon realized it was because of the phone call she’d made. She said, “I told you to co for dinner, why are you here so early? Did I disturb you?”

“No, I don’t have classes in the afternoon, so I’m back.” Gu Qingxin entered the flower shop and noticed Lin Yin was arranging flowers again.

“Mother, is sothing on your mind?”

“No, I just missed you.” Lin Yin smiled and tucked a loose strand of hair behind Gu Qingxin’s ear.

“I’ll co back and keep you company more often.” Gu Qingxin hugged her.

“You don’t have to co back that often, just once in a while is fine. You are busy with your studies.” Lin Yin patted her on the back.

“You keep arranging the flowers. I’ll handle the heavy work. Let

The two of them also chose so vegetables. By the end of the trip, their moods had noticeably improved. They headed ho, laughing and chatting while carrying their groceries.

When they returned to the apartnt, Lin Yin started preparing the chicken soup. Gu Qingxin wanted to help, but Lin Yin drove her out of the kitchen, saying that there was nothing she could do to help at the mont.

Gu Qingxin went back to her room. As she looked around the small bedroom, her thoughts involuntarily drifted to Beiming Han…

Her back was aching. She had not slept well because he had kept her busy all night. She lay back on the bed, a wave of sourness surged in her heart, and her eyes felt swollen and teary.

Gu Qingxin hurriedly closed her eyes and covered them with the back of her hand, trying not to cry…

When Lin Yin entered her room, she saw her daughter had fallen asleep and pulled the blanket over her.
