Chapter 600: Chapter 574: Continue to Go Back 3

She’s a real pain in the neck!

Ye Yingsu stood dumbfounded. In her presence, Xiao Yi was a silent and well-behaved mute, so why did he beco lively and genuinely happy in front of this useless girl?

She gave him all kinds of presents from around the world, but he never showed any happiness, yet this little girl made him a bunny, folded from paper napkins, worthless and easily discarded, yet he cherished it as if it was the most precious treasure in the world.

Although Beiming Lingyun seed rather aloof, he was keen-eyed and took note of everything that happened.

When the food arrived, a glass of red wine was served to each person. Beiming Lingyun was the first to raise his glass, proposing a toast to Gu Qingxin, who hurriedly lifted her own glass in response.

“Miss, at my last birthday party, my insensitive granddaughter deliberately made things difficult for you. I have been waiting for a chance to apologize to you, I’m truly sorry.”

“It’s in the past. You shouldn’t bother about it.” Gu Qingxin would never forgive Beiming Shasha, that malicious woman.

“Then let

make up for it today.”

After saying that, Beiming Lingyun drained his cup.

Gu Qingxin was stunned. She doesn’t drink, fearing her behavior after becoming tipsy. However, seeing the old man finished his drink, she could do nothing but down the wine too.

“Sir, I don’t drink, and I won’t drink any more after this. Please, help yourselves!” Gu Qingxin hurriedly made things clear.

She hoped she could handle just this one drink.

“If you can’t drink, don’t force yourself. We’re all family here, let’s keep things casual.”

“Sir, let

drink with you!” Ming Shang raised his glass.

Gu Qingxin sat back down, her hand unconsciously patting her chest.

Beiming Han sat quietly, not uttering a single word; he just moved the plate of shrimps to his side and started peeling them.

Gu Qingxin noticed that Beiming Han rarely spoke in front of other mbers of the Beiming family. If not for his strong presence, he would be like the air, very quiet and easy to ignore.

She suddenly rembers Ming Shang ntioned that he only returned to the Beiming family when he was a teenager. Where had he been, and what had he experienced, before that?

She had a growing sense that it may not have been a pleasant experience.

Her heart ached inexplicably.

After Beiming Han had peeled a plate of shrimps, he naturally reached out and put it in front of Gu Qingxin…

Gu Qingxin was perpetually silent.

All movents in the room seed to freeze for a mont as everyone’s eyes fell on the two of them.

“Um… did you put this in the wrong place? Xiao Yi is over there.” Gu Qingxin tried to pass on the shrimps to Xiao Yi, her tone filled with awkwardness.

Xiao Yi shook his head vehently when he saw that she was trying to hand it over, and pushed it back over to her.

Gu Qingxin looked at the plate of shrimps in front of her, torn between whether to eat them or not.

“Do you want

to feed you?” Beiming Han whispered.

Gu Qingxin remained silent.

“Do you like shrimps?” Ming Shang asked.

Having just eaten one, Gu Qingxin nodded, “I love them. Shrimps are my favorite.”

“Let

peel them for you.” Ming Shang promptly tried to snatch the shrimp plate from Beiming Han.

Beiming Han quickly lifted the plate, “Since I’ve already started, there’s no need for you to do it.”

“Waiter, bring another plate of shrimps.” Ming Shang sat back down, glaring at him.

“Seafood is cool by nature and it’s not good to eat too much!” Beiming Han added casually.

“…”

Ye Yingsu didn’t say much, and the old man would occasionally ask her about her situation. It was clear that he cared a lot about her.

Just after Gu Qingxin had drunk her wine, she felt her cheeks burning and her body becoming hot. She excused herself to the washroom and left the private room.
