Bai Jingqing bustled into the room, “Big brother, why did you summon
in such a hurry? What’s important?”
Beiming Han watched him without saying a word. Bai Jingqing stood in front of his desk, feeling a bit nervous due to Beiming Han’s intense gaze, “What’s going on? Did I do sothing wrong?”
Bai Jingqing felt that he had perford quite well yesterday at Gu Qingxin’s ho. He couldn’t understand why his big brother was glaring at him with that unforgiving look.
Beiming Han pointed at two little pills on the table, “What are these?”
Picking up the pills, Bai Jingqing examined them. Nothing was written on them, not even a single letter.
“Where did these pills co from?”
Bai Jingqing turned them over in his hand, scrutinising them again.

“Where’s the bottle it ca in?” Bai Jingqing also asked.

“Um… big brother, although I am a doctor, I am not a professional pharmacist. Even if I was, I’d need these pills for testing their composition back in the lab.” Bai Jingqing tried to explain nervously.
“Go!” Beiming Han finally uttered a single word.

“Big brother… where exactly did these pills co from? Can you give
a hint?” Bai Jingqing couldn’t help but glance at Beiming Han.

“Oh yes, I’ve arranged for soone to pick up Aunt Lin from Miss Gu’s place for another check-up.” Bai Jingqing reported.

“I heard that Miss Gu is going for an advertisent shoot?” Bai Jingqing casually ntioned as he sat down.
“Why are you becoming more chatty than the third one!” Beiming Han glared at him.
“I heard it from Huangfu Ye. Apparently, she’s filming it with Ming Shang.”
As soon as the words left Bai Jingqing’s mouth, he felt a sudden chill down his spine.
“What did you say!” Beiming Han growled through clenched teeth.

Bai Jingqing looked surprised at Beiming Han, he had assud that Beiming Han was aware of it!
Could it be that big brother doesn’t know?
That seems unlikely. Gu Qingxin filming an advertisent would definitely be with big brother’s approval!

“Big brother, I must leave now. As soon as the results are ready, I will let you know.” Bai Jingqing swiftly stood up to escape.

Huangfu Ye was looking through the resus of the secretaries who had applied for the job. His desk phone rang. Without a second thought, he picked up, only for Beiming Han’s cold voice to sound from the other end.
“Co to my office!”
“Okay!” Huangfu Ye responded with a single word, before the caller abruptly hung up.
Huangfu Ye frowned while looking at the handset, wondering why he got a sinking feeling about it.
Gu Qingxin was heading towards the elevator when she crossed paths with Ming Shang, who was also alone. They briefly made eye contact before quickly averting their gaze, mutually repulsed by each other.
The elevator door opened and Gu Qingxin entered first. Ming Shang followed, pressed the buttons for the respective floors and then hit the door close button.
As the elevator ascended, Gu Qingxin took out her phone, planning to send a ssage to Bai Qianqian. Just as she was unlocking her phone, the elevator suddenly jerked. Gu Qingxin’s brand-new phone slipped out of her grip and fell onto the floor…
