Chapter 1917: Chapter 1932: On This Day Next Year, It Will Be Our Death Anniversary (Part 1)

Qianqian returned ho, first went to her room to take a shower, changed into clean clothes, and then went downstairs.

During the holiday, Xiao Ran had returned ho from another province, and their mother had also taken a few days off.

When she arrived ho, both of them were resting. Qianqian went to the kitchen, planning to cook a al for her mother and sister.

In the future, she might not have the opportunity to be filial to her mother anymore.

Thinking about this made her feel very sad.

The housekeeper originally wanted to stay in the kitchen to help, but Qianqian chased them out; she wanted to complete this al on her own.

Her mother ca downstairs and saw her daughter busy in the kitchen. She walked in and asked, "Qianqian, you’re back. How is Doctor Bai doing?"

Their mother really liked Bai Jingqing. She was aware of Qianqian constantly accompanying him recently and supported it wholeheartedly. One should repay kindness, and Bai Jingqing was the family’s greatest benefactor.

"He’s doing much better now and shouldn’t have any more issues. Mom, Doctor Bai’s trouble wasn’t because of his dical skills; he was set up." Qianqian defended Bai Jingqing.

She hoped no one would misunderstand him. If possible, she wanted to shout to the world that Bai Jingqing was the best man in the world and also the best doctor.

He shouldn’t have to endure these misunderstandings.

"Silly child, Mom knows." Her mother touched her daughter’s head.

Qianqian, with reddened eyes, nodded. Her mother asked, "What delicious food are we having today?"

"I want to make squirrel fish and so homade dishes. Today we’re celebrating a holiday as a family of three."

"Alright." Her mother agreed, wanting to help but was firmly pushed out by Qianqian.

Her mother couldn’t oppose her and went off to handle other things.

Qianqian watched her mother’s figure. Perhaps this would be the last al she cooked for her mother.

Lunch was served. Their mother went to call the youngest daughter, Xiao Ran, who had gone out after dinner yesterday and played all night with friends, only returning at dawn.

Xiao Ran hadn’t had enough sleep and was naturally unwilling when called. She rubbed her eyes as she went downstairs, yawning at the sight of Qianqian, and slumped over at the dining table.

"Wake up quickly, look at you, such a sight..." Her mother tapped her back.

"And look at my sister... Mom, you’ve said this from childhood to now, and my confidence has been crushed by you! Others live in the shadow of other people’s children, I live in the shadow of my own sister." Xiao Ran sat up, looking impatient.

Her mother, "..."

"Xiao Ran, Mom is just afraid you won’t eat lunch and will be hungry when you wake up. Here, eat more today." Qianqian handed a bowl of rice to her sister.

"I’ll go get so rice, you’ve been busy all morning, sit down and eat." Their mother felt helpless seeing her daughter busy for so long while the youngest just sat here eating.

"It’s fine, you eat first. I’ll get another two bowls of rice shortly." Qianqian didn’t let her mother move, returning to the kitchen and soon brought out two bowls of rice.

The three of them sat down, and Qianqian kept serving dishes to her mother and sister.

Her mother looked at her eldest daughter and asked, "Qianqian, is there sothing on your mind?"

Why did she feel that her daughter was sowhat unusual today?

"Nothing. Xiao Ran is studying in another province and rarely cos ho, and your work is so busy now, often traveling... It’s a holiday, isn’t it? It’s rare for us to gather together for a al."
