When the two of them arrived downstairs, they didn’t see Ye Yingsu and Xiao Yi, so Gu Qingxin asked Aunt Zhou where they were.
Aunt Zhou said Xiao Yi had a fever and it started in the afternoon. Ye Yingsu gave him so dicine and was accompanying him in the bedroom.
Gu Qingxin quickly slipped out of Beiming Han’s embrace and rushed to Xiao Yi’s room.
As she entered, Ye Yingsu was feeding the little guy so water. Xiao Yi looked listless, a stark contrast to his energetic self at the amusent park in the morning.
“How is he? Has the fever gone down?” Gu Qingxin walked over and asked.
“It’s gone down a bit. Now it’s a low-grade fever, so it shouldn’t be too serious,” Ye Yingsu said as she touched his forehead with a worried expression.
“Let
do it.” Gu Qingxin took the cup of water from Ye Yingsu’s hand and began to feed Xiao Yi.
Xiao Yi, seeing Gu Qingxin, didn’t say a word. He leaned against her and closed his eyes.
“Xiao Yi, are you feeling unwell?” Gu Qingxin asked, noticing that he couldn’t drink any more, and touched his forehead.

“Could he be too tired? Let him rest a bit more,” Ye Yingsu said, her eyebrows never relaxing.
“No, this won’t do. Let’s take him to the hospital for a checkup. When you were away before, Xiao Yi was sick a few tis but never this serious… It’s not the fever we should worry about, but the lack of energy,” Gu Qingxin said, very concerned.
“To the hospital,” Beiming Han agreed. He picked up Xiao Yi, and Gu Qingxin skillfully took out a blanket from the cabinet to cover the little guy. Without changing clothes, they left the bedroom one after another.

They took care of Xiao Yi even more skillfully than she did.

In the hospital.
After a series of blood tests and various checkups, Xiao Yi was sent to the ward. By then, he was already asleep.
Gu Qingxin looked at the sleeping Xiao Yi, her heart aching. She had never seen Xiao Yi like this before. Even when he was sick before, as long as his fever subsided, he would be lively again.
But now, clearly without a high fever, he was still in a deep sleep, which left her anxious.
“How did he suddenly get so seriously ill?” Beiming Han’s brows were knitted tightly and didn’t loosen.

Gu Qingxin sat at Xiao Yi’s bedside the whole ti, wiping the sweat from his forehead with a damp towel.

He stood there in a daze for a full five minutes before coming to his senses and hurried to Xiao Yi’s ward with the report.
When the three of them saw him, they all stood up.
Seeing Bai Jingqing’s tense expression, everyone’s heart leapt.
“What’s wrong with Xiao Yi?” Beiming Han managed to remain calm, his eyes fixed on the report in his hand.
