Beiming Han quickly strode to Gu Qingxin, took one glance at the petite girl in front of him then picked her up, walking towards the aircraft.
“Where are we going?” Gu Qingxin asked him. Her arm still hurt, so she couldn’t wrap her arms around him.
“A place.” Beiming Han gently looked at her.
Beiming Han carried her on to the plane and it gently took off.
Gu Qingxin handed him the small gift, announcing, “This is a gift for you.”
“For ?” Beiming Han was sowhat surprised, asking her, “Why are you giving
a gift?”
“I wanted to, so I did. Do I need a reason?” Gu Qingxin’s eyes flickered.
Beiming Han opened the box, staring at the cartoons on it, his expression dimming. The cartoons were those of Gu Qingxin getting shot while rescuing him.
“Open it and see if you like it,” Gu Qingxin urged him.
Beiming Han pulled her into his embrace and carefully opened the box. Inside was a pen.
“For the record, I don’t have a lot of money, can just afford sothing at a reasonable price,” Gu Qingxin knew that her pen would be low value compared to his, but it was a sincere token of her affection, bought with the little money she had.
“I like it a lot.” Beiming Han instantly took out the diamond-studded pen from his pocket, tossed it, and replaced it with the one she had given him.
“Hey! Why did you throw it away!” Gu Qingxin watched the expensive pen land neatly in the trash bin, her heart aching. That pen was surely worth at least hundreds of thousands, but he tossed it out just like that?
Gu Qingxin scrambled to fish out the discarded pen, “You’re too prodigal! You obviously know this pen is expensive. Even if you aren’t using it, you can’t throw it!”
“What good is keeping what’s not useful?” Beiming Han once again held her close.
“Let
keep it for you. If this one gets spoiled, you can use this one again,” she suggested.
“If it spoils, it can be fixed. I will only use this pen for the rest of my life,” Beiming Han stated very seriously.
