"Is he a drug addict...? The son of the most prestigious Senator?" Deinken, holding the empty container and syringe, spoke blankly.

With experience cos keen eyes, and Deinkein had them both – having spent half of his life in the lab. He could identify the effect of the drug Zick gave by just circulating his mana into it.

'Even drug addicts don't use sothing this strong....' Deinken's eyes clouded over, staring at Zick.

Fyeinem hospital, Which Zick currently resided in, stood like a behemoth in the dical business. Having one of the great six families supporting it in the back.

The dical staff of such a hospital would of course be the best. Especially for treating people like Zick, with high social backing - soone qualified will be attached.

'Did he notice his condition...? He must have found out about his mana veins slowly decaying, even without anyone telling him. He must be depressed.'

A reasonable idea appeared within Deinken's mind, that could explain the current situation.

No matter the case, Deinken did as he was instructed. He knew how to take advantage of the situation. A huge opportunity was before him now, and he held onto it tightly even if there were risks in it.

There are many people who wouldn't even understand the opportunities presented before them. And Deinken wasn't one of them.

After just half an hour, Zick's body temperature constantly began to rise without any sign of stopping.

"Cough! Cough!! Agh!"

Zick began coughing violently, but his eyes were shut tight - as if he was in deep slumber.

After a few more coughs, a few drops of black blood flowed out along with it.

"Kukh! Blurgh!!!"

Not long after, as if sothing was unsealed, Zick vomited black blood while turning his face to the side. However, even such an action didn't seem to have shaken his mind awake, his eyes still closed.

Deinken, watching Zick's body, had a serious and solemn expression.

All the veins across Zick's body turned black, slowly being pulled towards his stomach. Black blood flowed continuously, showing no sign of ending.

Without hesitation, Deinken took out a glass container and stored the black blood into it carefully. He used simple telekinesis magic to move it all into the glass container.

While doing so, his mana automatically seeped into the black blood, causing a gloomy light to appear on his face.

'It's actually an unidentified poison! Wait...' Deinken's expression grew heavy, feeling that the black blood was trying to travel through his mana. He imdiately cut his connection with the mana that he used to inspect it.

'Such strong liveliness....I'm afraid that even a potion that can revive a person on the brink of their death - might not be able to cure this poison.' Deinken carefully stored the mana veins decaying poison into his storage ring.

After contemplating for a minute, Deinken thought: 'Was that actually a miracle drug...?'

...

The bluish sunrays entered into the room through the window, falling right onto Zick's face.

With a frown, Zick opened his eyes while turning away from the Sunray, 'It's already evening...'

Due to the atmospheric difference in this world, the setting sun glowed in a bright bluish colour. At first, it was a strange sight, but he grew used to it after such a long ti.

Pushing himself up, a sense of strength took over him. The pain in his waist seed to have vanished and the bandages around it had disappeared too.

[Ding!]

The sound of the system notification rang out within Zick's head, he could only put it aside for now though. He looked at Deinken, who appeared more lively.

One side of Zick's lips rose up: "Do you want to be my personal doctor? Of course, I would still fulfill my promise of reward even if you reject this offer."

A bright light appeared within Deinken's eyes, he answered almost hurriedly: "It's my honor to be your personal doctor, sir!"

Who would reject such an offer?

Being connected to the current Senator's family, within a few days his na would be known by thousands of bigshots.

"Good, I will send a contract to you later." Zick already thought of a 'slave' contract in his head.

He couldn't trust just anyone, if he was injured in the future. It was only right to start preparing now.

"Hm, just conduct a body checkup on tomorrow with the other doctors. Then announce my full recovery. For now, don't spread what happened here." Zick instructed seriously.

"Understood." Deinken got up and transferred the black blood he collected to Zick, before leaving.

The more he saw, the more Zick was satisfied.

Deinken was calm and serious from the start to ending, which was an important trait for doctors. It also showed his experience and talent.

'Now, let's take a look...System.'

[Ding! Mana has increased by 4 points.]

[Detecting the mana veins to have been strengthened! The physical body has been influenced....]

[Strength and stamina has been increased by 2 points!]

Zick raised an eyebrow, 'There was such a function too?'

He knew the effect of mana veins being strengthened, but he didn't expect it to be such a huge gain. Normally it would have taken him half a year to accomplish, even with his potential.

He took a look at his stats with a smile.

[Stats: [Strength: 14.6 (D )] [Stamina: 13 (D)] [Dexterity: 16.8 (C-)] [Mana: 18.5 (C )] [Spiritual accomplishnt: lesser sword intent.] ]

With every rank the mana rises, its purity also grows by a level. Zick was confident he could defeat Aster easily now.

Thinking of Aster, a frown involuntarily appeared on Zick's face.

'She and a few people visited in the hospital later on, if I rember correctly. The academy has been closed for a week due to my incident too...'

Zick's plan for Aster was pretty straightforward.

If she didn't possess destiny any less than the best in the world, he would poison her and not bother about what happens to her in the future. Let her live like himself before regression!

But if Aster's destiny could bring him benefits, Zick would still poison her and then bring her to his side. A plan was already taking shape in his mind.

'The system didn't say that I can't force or harm the other party to make her marry , right?' Zick sneered internally.

[The reward for first marriage will be doubled. Please do keep in mind.]

"Oh...Now I have to consider it more in the future." Zick didn't think much about it for now.

His first goal was to improve his own destiny and gain destiny points. Marriage and having offspring can be considered secondary, a long term plan.

Having pretty much recovered, Zick decided to move his body around. He walked beside the window to take a look.

Knock-knock~

Gently knocking on the door, secretary Selina walked into the room.

"Young master, lady Arshein is here to visit."

Zick froze, rembering a sowhat unpleasant mory.

'...I didn't expect we would et so soon, bitch....'
