Ryan Sheldon returned to the lounge next to Ruby Sheldon’s hospital room and pulled Betty along.
Betty quickly glanced in the direction of Ruby Sheldon’s hospital room and asked softly, "What’s up? Heading back now? How’s your sister doing?"
"Don’t worry about her," Ryan snorted. "She’s so unfriendly to you, and yet you still speak up for her. She doesn’t deserve such a good sister-in-law like you!"

Betty felt uncomfortable hearing the term "sister-in-law," instantly thinking her "ultimate classy persona" had dropped a few levels.

Betty coughed lightly, got into Ryan’s car, and said with a reserved smile, while smoothing her hair, "Ryan, as long as we’re always in love, it’s great. Whether we marry or not is inconsequential."
Her gaze was full of emotion and her voice sweet as honey, making Ryan feel she had hit the nail right on the head.
He too was a person moved by emotions. Having been abroad for many years, he understood well that a marriage certificate ans nothing.

Aiden scrolled on his phone, casually replying, "She’s quite articulate, and capable, but she’s treating Ryan better than Lawrence."
Autumn couldn’t help but laugh, "Isn’t that normal? She’s Ryan’s girlfriend, not Lawrence’s friend. If she were nicer to Lawrence than Ryan, then I’d worry she might have ulterior motives."
Aiden glanced at her but said nothing more, continuing to look at his phone.
Autumn added, "Anyway, Ryan isn’t the heir. His wife just needs good character, a clean family background, high intelligence, and decent looks. I have no demands."
