Kenneth Osborne was lost in thought when he heard Nick Zeller finally answer the phone.
"Uncle Nick." Kenneth Osborne pursed his lips and tried to speak casually, "How have you been these days? Busy?"
Nick Zeller chuckled, "Hehe, just okay. Kenneth, how is it living alone? Still busy at work?"
Kenneth Osborne put on his Bluetooth headset, sat on the office sofa, holding his phone to look at Lawrence Winters’ monts while talking to Nick Zeller.
"Uncle Nick, I’m alright, it’s a bit hard to adjust at first, but living alone for two days is okay, anyway I spend most of my ti working overti at the office, ho is just a place to sleep at night."
Before Nick Zeller could reply, Kenneth Osborne quickly asked, "By the way, I just saw Nora’s social dia post saying she has a fever? How did she suddenly get a fever?"
When he left that day, he clearly saw that Lawrence Winters was fine.
He rembered when the elevator doors closed, Lawrence Winters looked at him with such focus, such energy, a vibrant beauty, he almost couldn’t stop himself from stepping out of the elevator.
Nick Zeller thought, this kid finally got to the point... all that concern for earlier was obviously insincere...
He grinned and said, "Yeah, she has a fever. How is it a sudden fever? You know her arm was hurt that badly, how could she not get a fever? The wound will get infected! She burned for three entire days, from 39.5 degrees to 38 degrees, only got a little better today."
"39.5 degrees?!" Kenneth Osborne jumped up instantly, his face turning pale, "How could the fever be so severe?! Is it a problem with the wound dressing? Did you take her to the hospital?!"
Nick Zeller raised his eyebrows, intentionally dragging his words, "No, it was just 39.5 degrees, not 40, and it went down overnight. My master even did a ritual for her."
Kenneth Osborne couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his eyes.

Kenneth Osborne’s fist clenched and unclenched repeatedly, squeezing a sentence through his teeth, "Uncle Nick, this concerns a human life, with Nora’s fever being so serious, how can you just... do a ritual?"
"Kenneth, isn’t she fine now? Why are you so worried..." Nick Zeller laughed sinisterly, thinking that Kenneth rembered he was Lawrence’s fiancé after all?
He was initially very opposed to Lawrence Winters getting engaged to Kenneth Osborne so quickly.
But after the engagent, he only cared if Kenneth Osborne could be devoted to Lawrence Winters.
This ti, Kenneth Osborne’s actions clearly displeased him, but Gabrielle Winters told him not to interfere in others’ relationships, saying it’s better for the couple to figure things out themselves first.

That ti she quickly softened, and Kenneth Osborne helped cover it up for her.

This second ti she hit those five people hard, and even took a stab to protect herself!
Kenneth Osborne didn’t sympathize with those five people; he also thought they deserved it, but punishing them while heavily injuring herself was not worth it.
More importantly, Lawrence Winters never thought of asking him to go along from the start.
She even considered going with Edward Foster but didn’t consider him.
This realization made Kenneth Osborne not only upset but even a bit desperate.
No matter what he did, it seed he couldn’t get closer to Lawrence Winters’ heart.
Others could easily get close to her, while she seed to put up a Barrier against him.
So he took a deep breath and said to Nick Zeller, "Uncle Nick, I suspect Lawrence’s wound might have so issues, shouldn’t you take her to the hospital for another check-up?"
