Today, it was a rare occasion for Lawrence Winters to go out to buy breakfast.
Originally it should have been her mom, but for so unknown reason, the old Daoist pulled so stunt early this morning and got her up, saying he did a fortune telling for her. Her luck today was fit for going out in the early morning.
If she didn’t go out, her whole day would be unfavorable.
Lawrence, who also studied this field, always believed "it’s better to believe it than not" for such matters.
Even if it’s nothing significant, once it’s said, it should be treated seriously.
Moreover, since it was the old Daoist who personally said it, Lawrence had more trust in him than in her Uncle Nick Zeller.
Therefore, though yawning, she agreed to go out and buy breakfast.
Once outside, the bright spring sunlight of Capital City and the fresh air lifted her spirits, improved her mood, and made her secretly give a thumbs up to the old Daoist’s words.
Carrying a food box, humming a children’s song she adapted: "The sun shines, the flowers smile, with the food box I run and bounce," she walked briskly, with a bright smile on her face. Her jet-black eyes glanced around, enough to make people dizzy.
However, her happiness didn’t last long as she caught sight of a tall man standing on another path through the corner of her eye. Isn’t that the "spoiling-daughter fanatic" plus "The Wealthiest" Aiden Sheldon?!
She was so startled that she stumbled and nearly fell.
And that damn man had no intention of being a gentleman to co and help her either.
Of course, Lawrence didn’t expect "The Wealthiest" to deign to help others for enjoynt.
She managed to steady herself, put on a professional smile unique to a Feng Shui Master, nodded at Aiden, and continued walking forward.
This road leading out of the community was where the small roads in front of each building converged.
Aiden frowned, seeing Lawrence just nodding at him like a stranger and walking away.
How rude, luckily Betty doesn’t associate with soone like that.
Wait, that’s odd, why is she in this place?
To Aiden, houses here were nothing in terms of cost, but he wasn’t the kind of rich kid oblivious to the real world.
When he was young, he studied abroad, intentionally not relying on his family, earning tuition and living expenses entirely on his own.
So he was aware of the property’s situation here; the prices weren’t trivial even for regular wealthy people, let alone the working class.
Only executives of international listed companies, and those with significant shares could afford housing here.
Is Lawrence Winters’ family that wealthy?
Or does she just like hanging around rich people?
Right, that Kenneth Osborne has his own company and quite a sharp business mind.
Thinking of the investnt Kenneth received from SSA Private Equity and the billion he earned from Spencer Group, Aiden narrowed his eyes.
Kenneth Osborne indeed had the capability to buy a house here, it seed Lawrence Winters latched onto Kenneth.
Although they were clearly a legitimate couple, even potentially engaged, Aiden’s preconceived notion had made him deeply biased against Lawrence’s character.
When you don’t like soone, everything they do seems wrong.
For instance, if he does charity work, so would say he’s seeking fa.
If he doesn’t, so would claim he’s "rich and heartless."
That’s exactly where Aiden Sheldon was at now.
He shook his head as he watched Lawrence’s retreating figure, thinking Kenneth Osborne also lacked insight, getting tied down so soon.
His interest in Kenneth Osborne waned further.
He took out his phone and found a nearby breakfast spot, realizing it wasn’t far outside the community, only a five-minute walk.
Aiden Sheldon imdiately followed the route indicated on the phone.
He was truly starving, planning to buy four bowls of fish congee, five baskets of pan-fried buns, and also buy egg-noodle fried dough sticks, tea eggs, savory tofu pudding, osmanthus jelly cake.
Basically, he intended to buy all the breakfasts available in the shop to take back and enjoy slowly.
Aiden Sheldon hurried to the breakfast spot, only to encounter Lawrence Winters again.
She was just putting fish congee and pan-fried buns into her food box while paying with her phone.
As Aiden walked over, he realized the fish congee and pan-fried buns were already sold out!
How could this be?!
What ti is it now?
They’re already sold out?!
What kind of business is this?!
Aiden felt his temples throbbing, his veins seed about to burst, and his heart was pounding furiously.
He pursed his lips and asked again, "Are you sure there’s no more fish congee and pan-fried buns? Can you make more? I’ll pay double, no, ten tis the price!"
