"Exterminate to the last? What do you an? Mr. Sheldon is a good person; he’s very loyal," Edward Foster hurriedly spoke up for Aiden Sheldon. "I heard from my parents that our family once encountered great difficulties, nearly being taken down by that old scoundrel Caron Spencer. It was Mr. Sheldon who extended a helping hand and got us through the crisis!"

Lawrence Winters: "..."

"Really?" Lawrence Winters was quite puzzled. "But he seems to be in a ntally unstable state. He’s almost excessively protective of his daughter; if anyone bothers her, he’ll fight them to the death."

"You an Ruby Sheldon?" Edward Foster burst into laughter. "Don’t tell you offended Ruby Sheldon..."

Lawrence Winters: "..."

She put down her coffee cup and said irritably, "Do you know Ruby Sheldon too? That cherished daughter of their family."

"Yeah, I’ve t her, but we’re not particularly close, just casual friends," Edward Foster said with a grin. "Their family dotes on that daughter so much that my parents have always warned since I was young not to anger that little princess of the Sheldon Family, or I’d get beaten."

"Of course, I wouldn’t dare offend her. Although she’s pampered, she’s a decent person and doesn’t act arrogantly. It’s just that her parents are overly protective, so no one dares to cross her..."

Lawrence Winters nodded thoughtfully. "I see. Then I guess I’m just a victim of circumstances."

With that, she recounted what happened on New Year’s Eve.

Edward Foster listened, shocked by the twists and turns of the story.

When Lawrence Winters finished, Edward Foster slapped his forehead in disbelief. "Just because of a joke, Mr. Sheldon threatened to retaliate against you and your family?!"

Lawrence Winters nodded and curled her lips. "Why would I lie to you? Lucas Harlow was right there at the scene, you can ask him if it’s true. I told him right then and there that I don’t intend to be his agent anymore."

"So that’s what happened," Edward Foster breathed a sigh of relief and was secretly pleased to see Lawrence’s lack of interest in Lucas. He pretended to be generous, saying, "You don’t really have to do that. He’s just an actor now, and you’re just his agent. Plus, his show is about to start filming; if you quit now, you’d lose out on a significant commission..."

Lawrence Winters indeed hesitated.

Edward Foster smirked and took a sip of his coffee.

He seed to know how to win this girl’s favor...

"Also, just treat him like any other artist under your managent. No longer give him preferential treatnt or think of him as your idol. Isn’t that enough? You’re not a fan anymore, so you don’t have to look up to him," Edward Foster added, covertly observing Lawrence’s expression while silently praising his own little ploy.

Lawrence Winters thought for a mont and said, "You’re right. But I only plan to stick around until this show finishes airing. After that, you find him another agent, and we’re done, okay?"

"Sure, we’ll talk after this show wraps up," Edward Foster agreed with a smile. "During this ti, if you feel inconvenienced, I can help you deal with matters related to Lucas Harlow."

"No need. As long as I’m still his agent, I won’t abandon my duties," Lawrence Winters decided, standing up. "I’ll be going now."

"Alright, if you need anything in the future, you can co straight to , no appointnt needed," Edward Foster said cheerfully, opening the office door for Lawrence.

After Lawrence Winters left, Edward Foster imdiately called Lucas Harlow.

"Lucas, did you tell Lawrence your real na?"

Lucas Harlow had just sent his father off and was on his way back.

With his Bluetooth headset on, he was driving while talking to Edward Foster.

"Yeah, I told her. Why? Did she co to see you to terminate the agency contract with ?" Lucas Harlow got nervous. "Don’t agree to it; I’ll talk to her myself."

"Too late," Edward Foster chuckled. "She just left; otherwise, how would I know that you told her your real na?"

"You agreed?!" Lucas Harlow was furious. "I haven’t signed anything; you can’t terminate it!"

"Geez, look at how anxious you are. Did I say anything about terminating?" Edward Foster leaned back in his chair, propped his long legs on the desk, and said smugly, "She agreed to wait until you’re done filming this show. So you’re safe for now."

Safe, my foot!

Lucas Harlow silently cursed and said with a stern face, "Alright, got it. I’m driving, I’ll hang up now."

He hung up Edward Foster’s call but then dialed Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters had just returned to her office and sat down when she saw a call from Lucas Harlow coming in.
