Aiden Sheldon looked up first, smiling and spreading his arms, watching Ruby Sheldon jump into his embrace.
"Good to have you back. Tonight’s New Year’s Eve dinner is a grand feast, a replica of an ancient full banquet with over three hundred dishes, let’s see if there’s anything you like," Aiden Sheldon said to his daughter in an extrely gentle and caring tone.
Ruby Sheldon nodded, smiled, and said sweetly, "I know, I ntioned once in the sumr that I wanted to try the full Han banquet, and Daddy rembered. Daddy is so good to !"
"Isn’t that obvious?" Aiden Sheldon tapped her upturned nose, "Whatever you want, even if it’s the stars in the sky, I can get it for you."
"Oh, you’ve already bought several asteroids and nad them after Betty, what more do you want? Spoiling her like this, you might be causing trouble for your daughter’s future in-laws, hahahaha..." Richard Stetford laughed heartily.
He too doted on Ruby Sheldon, but not to Aiden Sheldon’s extent.
In his eyes, sons were more important.
However, when he noticed Lucas Harlow, he pretended not to see him.
This son was truly more trouble than he was worth raising.
Aiden Sheldon followed with a chuckle and said, "Only three asteroids. If later they discover larger stars, naming them after our Ruby would really show our love."

Autumn Stetford stood up and took her hand, smiling and saying to Richard Stetford and Aiden Sheldon, "Dad, Aiden, I’ll take Betty inside first. When more people arrive, and everyone is seated, I’ll bring Betty out again."
Richard Stetford nodded casually. Noticing from the corner of his eye that Lucas Harlow was still obediently sitting in the seat just vacated by Autumn Stetford, next to him, he finally breathed a slight sigh of relief.
