Justus Spencer was in a conversation with Thomas.
"Thomas, tell the truth. Did you fail at Joyce’s grandmother’s place?" Justus asked anxiously.
Thomas frowned and said, "What are you talking about? I don’t understand."
"Stop pretending! Didn’t you tell that once we dealt with his grandmother, everything would be sorted?!" Justus growled, "And now what? That old lady is still posting on Weibo!"
Thomas chuckled and said, "Why are you so worried? Don’t worry, although we didn’t succeed, we didn’t fail either."
"Not succeeding is failing! Where are your people? Should we send them abroad? We can’t let them get caught!" Justus was almost ready to slap Thomas with money.
Thomas initially wanted to tell Justus that those people were professionally trained operatives, but intended to either succeed or perish, already gone to et the Lord, so there was no need to worry.
However, recalling the instructions from another person, he was moved and smiled, "Sure, I understand. They’re still safe for now. You can find a chance to send them abroad, but you’ll need to provide the funds. As you know, they all have families..."
"Money is no problem as long as they can leave the country," Justus sighed with relief, though not without regret.
Cooperating with Thomas was a mistake from the start.
But he couldn’t turn back now.
Thomas then talked to him about acquiring Wayford Intelligence, "This company needs to be secured quickly, lest dreams fade away."
"I got it, I’ll head south imdiately to pressure the board for funds." Justus said as he stood up and shook hands with Thomas in farewell, "I’m leaving now, await my ssage."
He left Thomas’s residence, and Thomas imdiately called soone.
The person quietly listened and then smiled, "Then let your ’professional operatives’ go et Mr. Spencer now, make sure everyone sees..."
Thomas understood and nodded, remarking, "Luckily, I’m partners with you."
The person chuckled and hung up.
anwhile, Justus Spencer, exiting Thomas’s ho, got into the car and said to Molly Zimrman who was inside, "Are you tired? It’s been exhausting for you to run around with these days."
Molly shook her head with a smile, "As long as I’m with you, I’m not tired."
She gently touched her swollen belly, smiling, "Just three more months to go, and it’ll be a boy..."
Justus, who had not yet had children, was filled with anticipation for this child.
He also touched her belly and said, "Once you’ve given birth, I won’t let you down."
"As long as I’m with you, I don’t care about anything else," Molly boldly stated, "You know my family isn’t ordinary, my dad is The Wealthiest of Central South Province, I’m not with you for your money."
"I know," Justus smiled and kissed her cheek, buckled her seatbelt, and took her back to his residence in Capital City.
This house was like his secret abode, even his wife didn’t know about it.
Molly staying here was very safe.
But right after they got out of the car, soone with a long-focus lens discreetly captured pictures of them.
Molly, in maternity clothes, had a seven-month belly that was completely unhideable.
Justus held her shoulder and walked inside with her.
Suddenly, two burly n with naked tattooed arms stepped out of a car, blocking their path.
Justus tensed up and quickly protected Molly, "Who are you? What do you want?!"
"We’re not here for anything. We went to pick up an old lady but couldn’t, almost ended up in a jam. Heard Mr. Spencer was kindhearted, ca to borrow so money..."
Justus imdiately realized these were the ’professional operatives’ hired by Thomas, and he inwardly cursed, "Are these ’professional operatives’?!"
But regardless, now was not the ti to fall out with these n.
The only option was to send them all abroad, then ask a Third Lady for help.
Justus put on a smiling face and took out a card from his wallet, handing it over, "Here’s so money for you to use as relief. I’ll make arrangents for your route and notify you."
"Mr. Spencer, you’re decisive! You’ve earned our friendship!" The two burly n took the money, and their attitudes visibly improved.
They saluted him and returned to their car, quickly leaving the parking lot.
Molly was frightened to the point her legs were weak, even her belly hurt.
Justus couldn’t help it and called the household assistant, asking her to take Molly to the hospital for a check-up.
He himself was exhausted, needing a bath and so rest.
When he got ho, he took off his shoes, and his phone fell out of his pocket.
Only then did he see the screenshots and ssages sent by the investnt departnt executive, and an inexplicable anger surged within him.
Justus swiped open his phone and imdiately called that executive.
"Old Gao, what’s going on? Did AI Vision Promise really interfere?"
Old Gao quickly said, "It’s the absolute truth, this screenshot was sent by my close buddy. You mustn’t spread it, or he’ll be kicked out of the group!"
Justus acknowledged, but the sight of "two billion" was just too glaring.
He asked Old Gao, "...Did the Foster Consortium really guarantee AI Vision Promise? On what grounds? What did AI Vision Promise offer The Foster Clan?"
"That I don’t know, the screenshot doesn’t cover it. Should I ask my buddy for more details?"
Justus quickly said, "Get on it, quick!"
Old Gao asked around but couldn’t gather further details.
Even Old Wang from Fa Capital had no idea what AI Vision Promise pledged to the Foster Consortium for collateral.
Actually, even Kenneth Osborne was surprised when he received a call from the Foster Consortium’s investnt departnt, saying they could provide an unconditional guarantee for him; he thought they dialed the wrong number.
"Why? Because you have the SSA Private Equity Fund as backing, and making Spencer Group unhappy makes happy." On the other end was the chairman of the Foster Consortium, the father of that wastrel Edward Foster.
