He calmly opened the email system and started writing a resignation letter.

At the sa mont, Thomas noticed sothing unusual with his computer.

He hadn’t gone to work today; instead, he was working remotely from a hotel.

When he found that he couldn’t log into his computer, he imdiately logged onto the computer in the lab that was used as a server.

That computer didn’t seem to work either, there was so issue with it.

Thomas quickly went to log into Joyce Shaw’s computer.

This ti, he found Joyce’s computer was completely clean; there was barely anything besides the operating system, no other content at all.

He clearly saw on Sunday that Joyce’s decryption program was almost complete; how did it suddenly disappear?

Thomas’s heart sank, and he imdiately activated his separate hacker tracking program.

This program could instantly send ssages to his phone.

In his phone’s email, he saw that from last night until this morning, soone not only logged into the lab’s server host but also accessed his computer to decrypt his encrypted files!

Through his program, Thomas could see the login account of that person, and it was Joyce’s internal company account!

"You little brat! Ungrateful!" Thomas slamd the desk hard and imdiately picked up the phone to give orders to Joseph Saunders and Mary Palr.

"...Do it, he knows everything."

Joseph Saunders and Mary Palr stood up simultaneously from their places.

Joseph Saunders paced out of his office.

Mary Palr walked out from her front desk.

The two t in the break room, no longer wearing their previously silly and low-intelligent looks, but instead, appearing sharp-witted.

Joseph Saunders drew water from the dispenser while speaking softly, "Execute as per the original plan, then we’ll go out for fifteen minutes and co back."

"Fifteen minutes probably won’t suffice as an alibi, at least thirty minutes." Mary Palr said calmly, "There might be a certain error when a forensic pathologist determines the ti of death."

"Alright, thirty minutes."

Joseph Saunders nodded, "I’ll do it, release the hallucinogen, you wear the special mask."

Their special masks had an air filtration system, similar to gas masks.

Mary Palr nodded, packed up her things, and with a smiling face went to Joyce Shaw’s office and knocked on the door, saying, "Director Shaw, I’m going to buy sothing to eat, do you want to bring anything back for you?"

Joyce said nervously, "No need, I’m going out in a little while too."

"Really?" Mary Palr raised an eyebrow, "Want to co with ?"

"No, I’ll go myself." Joyce refused again.

Mary Palr smiled and nodded, "Alright, have a safe trip."

She swayed her curvaceous waist and walked toward the front door.

Joyce hastily finished writing the resignation letter and sent it out, then tucked his phone into his pocket and bent down to grab his backpack.

At that mont, he suddenly felt dizzy in his head, his vision darkened, and a wave of nausea surged through his chest, inducing a strong urge to vomit.

He grabbed his backpack and staggered out of the office, heading to the restroom next door.

He thought it was just nervousness causing a stomach issue.

For a while, he hovered over the toilet in the restroom, but found himself feeling no better; in fact, he was getting worse, his whole body limp and nearly collapsing.

This wasn’t a stomach issue...

Joyce ca out of the restroom calling, "Joseph Saunders? Joseph Saunders?"

No one responded to him.

He struggled to hold himself up and arrived in front of Joseph Saunders’ office, which was empty.

He dragged his legs with great difficulty to the company’s main entrance, but no matter what, he couldn’t open the two glass doors!

The doors were locked, and his mind grew foggier, nearly fainting where he stood.

Only at this mont did he realize that soone probably wanted him dead.

They wanted to silence him; they discovered...

Joyce bit the tip of his tongue hard, and the acute pain montarily cleared his mind, and he found his body wasn’t as weak as before.

He guessed he had inhaled so kind of anesthetic, so he had to stimulate his nerves or shed blood to stay conscious.

He imdiately stood up, took a keychain from his bag with a foldable knife.

He used this small knife to slash his wrist.

The blood gradually trickled out, not very painful, but his dazed state slowly alleviated.

His inference was correct.

With newfound strength, Joyce picked up a chair and smashed it against the company’s glass door.

Once, twice, three tis, and finally, the door shattered!

Blood dripped from his wrist onto the ground, but he didn’t care, quickly crawled through the broken glass door and rushed into the elevator.

Tiny drops of blood followed him into the elevator, like a trail.

Upon exiting the elevator, he headed straight to the underground parking lot.

As he walked, he called Francis Johnson to seek help.

But Francis Johnson didn’t pick up the phone, seemingly busy with sothing else.

Joyce hurried to leave a ssage, then called Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth was interviewing job seekers at the ti, and didn’t imdiately take the call.

Joyce had no choice but to leave another ssage.

Reaching his car, he opened the door, got in, and slamd the gas pedal, speeding toward the highway leading into the city.

Joseph Saunders and Mary Palr had already left the company building to create an alibi by strolling around outside.

Before they had gone far, they were startled by the sound of the company alarm.

Joseph Saunders looked at his phone and said, "Damn, he actually broke the door and escaped."

"Follow him," Mary Palr said, and the two each got into a car, heading toward the company building.

As they arrived, they saw Joyce’s car speeding out from the underground parking lot.

The two imdiately turned their cars around, giving chase one in front of him and one behind him on the road.

Joyce was now certain these two were determined not to let him go, and so was Thomas.

He drove with all his might, speeding wildly.

Ten minutes later, Kenneth Osborne called back, "Joyce, what’s wrong?"

Joyce hastily answered, "Kenneth, help ! Thomas sent people to kill ! I’m on the road!"

With that, he sent his location.

Kenneth was montarily stunned, "What are you saying? What pursuit?!"

Seriously?

How could sothing so thrilling happen to ordinary people like them?

Kenneth had never been involved in such matters before, feeling a strong sense of unreality.

Joyce couldn’t explain clearly at the mont, only saying, "Please quickly contact President Zhao for , okay? I’m calling the police now..."

Then, he directly dialed 110, saying he was on the road being chased by two cars.
