Brooke Osborne was slightly taken aback.
She knew that Caron Spencer had many won. From his forr wife Ruby Rayner, whom she had t, to Hazel Winchester, they all showed great respect for Caron Spencer, addressing him as "Mr. Spencer." She followed their lead, calling him "Mr. Spencer" too.
But this woman, could she be Spring Spencer’s biological mother, Ava Harlow?
To directly call him "Caron," that signifies quite a close relationship.
She didn’t know much about Caron Spencer’s won, other than their nas and children, she knew nothing else.
And she didn’t want to know too much either; this way she could self-hypnotize into believing these won didn’t exist.
Now that one has co knocking at her door, she probably can’t remain ignorant anymore.
Brooke Osborne was now relieved that she hadn’t agreed to make the marriage public.
Judging by this woman’s stance, her family background was far superior to hers.
Those bodyguards wearing sunglasses, robust and strong, were not sothing an average family could afford.
Caron Spencer also had bodyguards, but not as ostentatious as Ava Harlow’s, making it seem like she was afraid others wouldn’t know her wealth and power.
Caron Spencer was also briefly stunned when he saw Ava Harlow, before smiling and saying, "Ava, you’re back. Are you feeling better? Your asthma hasn’t improved over the years; rember to always keep your dication with you."
He naturally walked over, holding Ava Harlow’s hand, and together they headed to the mansion.
Brooke Osborne glanced at her own empty hand, only realizing after a mont.
That man was indeed one she shared with other won.
The only difference between her and those won was that she currently had a marriage certificate in hand.
But this marriage certificate was not sothing she could present to the world.
Brooke Osborne stood awkwardly for a while before following inside.
In the grand living room, Ava Harlow and Caron Spencer sat closely together, appearing as if they were a family.
When Brooke Osborne entered, she stood to the side, resembling a serving maid.
Ava Harlow raised an eyebrow and eyed her, smiling, "Have a seat, Miss Brooke, no need to be formal. Treat this place as your own ho."
Brooke Osborne smiled slightly, looking at Caron Spencer, and said, "Mr. Spencer, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head up first. I went out shopping for half the day and feel a bit tired, so I’ll skip lunch."
Caron Spencer hurriedly said, "Go rest upstairs; skipping lunch isn’t an option. I’ll have soone bring it to your room later. If you’re not feeling well, just stay in and rest until you feel better."
Brooke Osborne nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Spencer, I’ll head up now."
She also smiled at Ava Harlow, saying, "You’re the second wife, right? Please make yourself comfortable, I’m not feeling well, so I’ll excuse myself."
With that, she turned towards the spiral staircase, her graceful figure showing no signs of her pregnancy from behind.
Ava Harlow, hearing the tone which completely assud this house as her own, felt even more bitter, and with a half-smile, half-frown, said to Caron Spencer, "Caron, you’re quite sothing, finding such a delicate beauty to hide in a golden cage."
Caron Spencer chuckled, "Ava, your jealous look is exactly like it was over twenty years ago, still so beautiful and charming."
"Oh, stop it! Don’t try to distract . I’m asking, what do you plan to do with her? She seems quite young, about the age of your eldest son. Are you really planning to take her in?" Ava Harlow probed Caron Spencer.
Caron Spencer took a small sip from his tea cup, smiling as he said, "Didn’t Spring tell you? They’ll all call her Fourth Aunt from now on."
This was indeed an acknowledgnt of Brooke Osborne’s status as the fourth wife.
Ava Harlow had actually already learned this from Spring Spencer, but she had not taken it to heart.
The only one she cared to deal with was the first wife, Ruby Rayner.
Now that Ruby Rayner had divorced Caron Spencer, she cared even less about these other insignificant won.
She had also asked Spring Spencer to investigate Brooke Osborne’s family background and knew that she ca from an ordinary family in an 18th-tier small city in Central South Province and was divorced.
Other than being younger, she had no other advantages.
But the advantage of being younger was sothing Ava Harlow could never compete with.
