Hailee’s POV

When we got back to my bed, I couldn’t calm down. My heart was pounding, my mind running wild with worry. I kept glancing toward the door, wishing I could get up and run to the ergency room.

"I need to be with my boys," I whispered, my voice trembling. "I need to make sure they’re okay."

The nurse who was adjusting my IV turned to with a gentle smile. "They’re still unconscious, ma’am," she said softly. "But once they wake up, we’ll let you know right away."

She gave a reassuring nod before leaving the room, quietly closing the door behind her.

The silence that followed was heavy, too heavy. I looked up at Frederick, who stood beside the bed, his hands in his pockets, watching with that sa calm expression he always wore when I was breaking apart inside.

"Frederick," I said, my voice cracking. "You have to help . They’ll take my sons away. I can’t let that happen."

He shook his head slowly and sat on the edge of the bed. His hand reached up gently, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "That’s never going to happen," he said softly, his tone steady and firm. "Not while I’m here. Not under my watch."

But his words did little to ease the panic clawing inside .

I shook my head, tears welling in my eyes. "You don’t understand," I whispered, my throat tight. "They hate now. Nathan, Callum, Dane... they’ll want revenge. And if they find a way—"

"Hailee," Frederick cut in gently, his voice calm but strong. "Look at ."

I hesitated, then lifted my eyes to et his.

"You’re their mother," he said quietly. "And no one, not even three Alphas, can take that away from you."

I wanted to believe him. I really did. But the fear wouldn’t leave. It sat heavy in my chest, whispering the sa nightmare over and over: What if they do? What if they take them? What if I lose everything?

Frederick reached out and took my trembling hand in his. "Rest for now," he said. "You need your strength. The boys will need you when they wake up."

I swallowed hard, trying to steady my breathing. "I can’t... I just can’t." I turned to Frederick, my eyes filled with regret. "I wish I never left your ho... I wish I stayed back."

Frederick flashed a sad smile before shaking his head. "No, it’s my fault. I pressured you with my feelings, and that’s what made you leave. If I had been able to control my feelings like I did over the years, you wouldn’t have felt suffocated and left. So yeah, it’s my fault, Hailee, not yours."

"Frederick..." I whispered, shaking my head.

He smiled sadly. "Don’t bla yourself. You just wanted to breathe."

Before I could respond, the door opened, and a nurse rushed in, slightly out of breath. "Miss Hailee," she said, her tone full of relief. "Your sons — they’ve woken up."

My heart skipped a beat.

I didn’t wait. I jumped off the bed, ignoring the sting in my arm where the IV had been, and hurried out of the room. The hallway seed endless as I ran down it, my gown brushing against my legs, my heartbeat echoing in my ears.

When I finally reached the room, I froze in the doorway.

They were all there.

Nathan stood beside Oscar’s bed, his large fra tense but his eyes softer than I’d seen in years. Callum was at Oliver’s side, his hand resting on the boy’s shoulder. Dane was sitting beside Ozzy, his head bowed, one hand gently holding his son’s.

My sons.

My heart ached at the sight — three boys lying in three separate hospital beds, connected to IVs, but awake... alive.

"Mom!" Oscar called the mont he saw . His little voice cracked with emotion.

I rushed to him, tears spilling as I gathered him gently into my arms. "Oh, my baby," I whispered, kissing his forehead. "Are you okay? Does it hurt anywhere?"

He smiled weakly, shaking his head. "I’m fine, Mom. Just a little dizzy. Are you okay?"

I nodded quickly, brushing away his hair. "Yes, sweetheart. I’m fine."

Nathan cleared his throat behind . His voice was gentler this ti, but still low, still careful. "Oscar," he said, kneeling beside the bed. "Do you feel any discomfort? Any pain in your chest?"

Oscar blinked at him and shook his head. "Just a small headache, Alpha Nathan."

For a mont, Nathan didn’t speak. His expression softened — sothing between pride and heartbreak crossing his face.

Then he exhaled slowly. "Don’t call Alpha Nathan," he said quietly. "Call ... Dad."

Oscar froze. His wide eyes flicked from Nathan to , confusion written all over his face.

"Dad?" he repeated uncertainly.

My lips trembled. I couldn’t speak—I just nodded, tears streaming silently.

At the next bed, Callum sat down slowly beside Oliver. His hand rested lightly on the boy’s small arm. "Oliver," he said softly, his voice rough around the edges. "I’m your father."

Oliver’s lips parted slightly. "My... father?"

"Yes." Callum managed a shaky smile. "I should have been there all these years... but I’m here now."

Oliver turned to , his eyes round and filled with disbelief. "Mom... is that true?"

I couldn’t bring myself to answer. My throat locked up, my heart twisting painfully.

Then Dane spoke from across the room. His tone was steady, but his voice carried a quiet tremor. "Ozzy," he said gently, "I’m your father."

Ozzy blinked at him, confusion flashing in his young eyes. "You’re... my dad?"

Dane nodded slowly, his jaw tight. "Yes. You are my son."

For a mont, no one moved.

The three boys looked from one man to another, then all their gazes turned to .

Their faces were pale, their eyes wide. The realization hit them all at once.

Oscar’s voice trembled as he spoke first. "Mom... how... how is that possible?"

Oliver’s bottom lip quivered. "You said our father was dead..."

Ozzy gripped the edge of his blanket, his voice breaking. "You said it was just us..."

I felt my knees weaken. My vision blurred again.

The horror in their eyes—the disbelief, the hurt—it was worse than any anger I’d ever faced.

"I’m sorry," I whispered, my voice shaking. "I’m so, so sorry."

But deep down, I knew sorry would never be enough.
