Chapter 31 – A Magical Ti (3)
"We drank cocktails at the hotel bar. I got drunk."
Yu Minji imagined she was back at that ti, smiling as she swayed in her seat.
"It was our first date."
Jiyeon felt as if she had been transported to Minji’s mind and body.
"What kind of person was he, Minji?"
"Minhyeok hated his father very much, but you couldn’t tell it on the surface."
"Could you?"
"Yeah. And I think he despised his father’s second wife."
"And by the second wife you an..."
"Nam Yunjeong."
"The mother of President Seo Minseok of Eunseong Motors."
"Yes. I don’t think he had much feelings for the third wife though."
"And?"
"I think he was disillusioned at the sa ti, and accepted his fate as a second-generation conglorate."
"So you were..."
"A kind of escape. Yes, I know."
Jiyeon nodded her head.
"He was both a rich man and a poor one."
"Did he talk about his brothers?"
"Sotis. He envied Minho."
"For what?"
"Living freely."
So according to her Minhyeok’s and Minho’s relationship was not hostile.
Yu Minji added,
"And he admired Minseok for his abilities as a CEO."
"Even though he hated Nam Yunjeong?"
"Yes. But he didn’t hate her son, Minseok."
"I see. Is there anything else that you find worrying recently?"
"As far as I know...I don’t think so."
Jiyeon observed her expression.
She could be hiding sothing, but Jiyeon couldn’t tell by the look on her face.
Jiyeon wanted to talk to her more, but there nothing clued her in to being a suspect.
Finally, Jiyeon gave her condolences and left the apartnt.
On her way back to the car in the parking lot, Jiyeon agonized over one thing.
How much should she believe what she says?
