Chapter 579: A Misunderstanding
The police ca. David brought his n over.
Chen Zhao and David hugged warmly.
“Chen, it’s my birthday this weekend.” Instead of asking about the situation, David’s first words were to invite Chen Zhao to his party.
“Sunday?” Chen Zhao asked. “Fali and I’ll be there. Oh, and how long will I have to stay at the station?”

“Okay, take your student back now. I’ll call you if it’s needed.”

Chen Zhao led Tiger to the car.
Tonight, Tiger had actually gotten frightened.

He didn’t think that Chen Zhao would actually help him bet.
No, instead of betting, it was more like giving him money.
If this bet had lost, Chen Zhao would be the one paying out of his pocket.
In other words, it was Tiger’s if they’d won and Chen Zhao’s if they’d lost.
Tiger was suddenly so touched.
“However, I can’t give you this money at once,” Chen Zhao said. “I’ll give you $20,000 for winning this round. You can use the money to help your family. So, as long as Tiger was still under his control, Chen Zhao wouldn’t allow him to touch those things.
Even if he so much as tried them, Chen Zhao would make him regret it.
“Mr. Chen, will those people take revenge on my family?”
“Why do you think Gaia didn’t co today?” Chen Zhao glanced at Tiger. “The scariest thing about Gaia isn’t how good she is at fighting. Instead, it’s that she can make anyone she wants disappear without a sound, even a gangster.”
Tiger shuddered. As expected, he couldn’t ss with either Chen Zhao or Gaia.
He promised himself to never get into a conflict with them.
Chen Zhao patted Tiger. “Okay, you’re ho.”
After dropping Tiger off, Chen Zhao planned on going ho too.
But after three blocks, soone suddenly crashed into Chen Zhao’s car.
Chen Zhao stopped, but then a figure rushed out.
“Get out, now!” The man ca to the window, aiming a gun at Chen Zhao.
Chen Zhao rolled down his window and swore. “F*ck you.”
“F*ck, Chen, why’s it you?”
“F*ck, that’s my question. Why is it you?”
Chen Zhao was speechless. So was Morgery.
This was like a flood destroying a water god’s temple.
Just then, a few other people rushed over. Seeing Morgery standing beside Chen Zhao’s car, they started shooting.
Morgery ducked straight into Chen Zhao’s car.
“You want to kill ?”
“I didn’t know it’s you.” Morgery was frustrated too.
Chen Zhao was the one he trusted the most in the world.
Chen Zhao was also the only one he wouldn’t hurt.
But who would’ve known that he would run into Chen Zhao when he wanted to steal a car?
Faced with so many people shooting, Chen Zhao could only duck below the windshield.
“Floor it and charge over,” Morgery said. “I’ll take care of the rest.”
Without looking up, Chen Zhao floored the gas pedal and went for the people.
They hurriedly dodged to the side, but because Chen Zhao couldn’t see, the car crashed into the railing.
Morgery had already slipped out of the car. Bang, bang.
Chen Zhao saw from the rearview mirror that Morgery had killed two people.
He also slipped out of the car and moved to the people’s side.

They were completely focused on Morgery and didn’t notice Chen Zhao.
Taking a deep breath, Chen Zhao gestured at Morgery.
Morgery’s expression went blank. What did that gesture an?
Suddenly, Chen Zhao charged at the people’s backs.
He was too fast. They couldn’t even process what was happening before Chen Zhao had already charged into them. Morgery was unable to shoot now.
He didn’t care about anyone else, but he couldn’t shoot at Chen Zhao.
“Ah! Ah!”
With Chen Zhao so close by, the people panicked too.
They hurriedly tried to shoot at Chen Zhao, but they were beaten to the ground before they could fire.
The entire process was less than ten seconds. Morgery looked at Chen Zhao standing in the middle. He hesitated a few seconds before walking over.
The first thing he did was to add so more bullets into the people on the ground.
“Can you tell what just happened?”
“Chen, pretend you didn’t see this. This has nothing to do with you, alright?”
Morgery didn’t want Chen Zhao to get involved in this.
Chen Zhao just looked at Morgery and he knew that he couldn’t hide it anymore.
He could only explain, “I killed their boss.”
“You can recover your status by killing their boss?”
“I’m mustering my n from before,” Morgery said.
“Do you need my help for anything?”
“No. I’m mostly done.”
He just didn’t want Chen Zhao to get involved.
“Then what about Victoria?”
