Flain had just finished running into the capital city; they were currently on the outskirts. On the way, it occurred to him that he could ask Flor to get him so armor—after all, they were allies.
That way, Flain could save those 15,000 gold coins for travel. Flain pulled the Night Communicator from his inventory and called Flor.
"Hey Flor, can you get a Stage 3 armor? And while you’re at it, another Stage 3 sword because one of mine is Stage 1 and doesn’t exactly look to be in the best shape," asked Flain.
"I’m not a noble yet, so I don’t have passive inco. But Stage 3 gear is cheap, so I’ll get you sothing perfect. Wait until tomorrow," said Flor and ended the call.
Flain put the Night Communicator back into his inventory. The inventory had proven to be very useful for Flain—it stored his pouch of money, the Night Communicator, and his two swords so he didn’t have to constantly carry them in his hands.

A day passed. Flor was now standing in front of their villa and knocked on the door.
"I’m coming," mumbled Flain, walked over to the door, and opened it.
Flor stood there with his usual unchanging smile. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. Flain didn’t see any armor or sword on him, so he expected that sothing had gone wrong.
"Where are the things I asked you for?" Flain asked, trying not to sound ungrateful.
"In a spatial ring. I’m guessing you don’t know what that is. A spatial ring is like a spatial bag, but you can put anything in it that you touch—though it’s very expensive. Mine cost 700 Mana Crystals and the space in it isn’t all that big," said Flor, showing the ring with a blue gemstone on his index finger.
"First, let’s start with your sword," said Flor, and a sword appeared in his hand, which he handed to Flain.
It was made of black steel, so it matched Flain’s other sword that he had taken from Zheren. It wasn’t quite as large, but Flain didn’t mind that.
"I’ll say in advance that none of the items I give you have any runes on them because runes are very expensive and are used for higher Stage gear. Anyway, this sword has an enchantnt that increases its durability and one that slightly increases speed," said Flor with a smile.
"Thank you, Flor. It’s perfect for ," said Flain as he examined his new sword.
"Don’t ntion it—investing in you is worth it. Anyway, now it’s ti for the armor," said Flor.
Flor stretched out his hand, and from his spatial ring a blue beam extended and ford an armor stand in front of Flain, on which stood his future armor.
It was large, heavy black armor with red stripes that looked like they were stained with blood. The helt had large demonic horns.
"Perfect," said Flain when he saw it.
"Heh, I’m glad you like it. It also has two enchantnts—one increases durability, and the other adds average resistance against sharp attacks," said Flor.
Flain really liked the armor’s design. Of course, the downside was that it would attract so attention, but he was aware of that.
"Thank you, you couldn’t have picked a better design," Flain said gratefully.
"Altogether, it cost 18 Mana Crystals. The most expensive part was the enchantnts, because Stage 3 steel is cheap. It should even hold up in a fight against Stage 4. Anyway, I’m off now, enjoy it," said Flor as he prepared to leave.
"I have one more request for you. I have another sword that’s good but has no enchantnts. Could you also get that one enchanted?" Flain asked.
"Show it to ," said Flor.
Flain moved to the next room because he didn’t yet want to tell Flor about the existence of his inventory. Flain still wanted to keep a few aces up his sleeve in case sothing went wrong.
Flain returned to Flor and handed him the sword. Flor examined it. "Stage 4 steel, quite well-forged," he said.
Flain was now even more interested in Flor’s true identity, because apparently he had Maker’s Sense, which could only be obtained if you were a smith, enchanter, or rune inscriber. Either way, Flain didn’t intend to dig into it—as long as Flor wasn’t against him, he had no reason to care.
"It’s going to cost at least 40 Mana Crystals. The higher the Stage of the steel, the harder it is to enchant, so even with the sa enchantnts, it’ll cost more. Anyway, expect back in 3 hours," said Flor and left with Flain’s sword.
Three hours passed. During that ti, Flain just trained. He hadn’t yet figured out what spell he wanted to create. But before that, he wanted to level up Spell Master to level 15 and thus penetrate Dinsion X at Stage 2 to try creating a spell there. After all, why waste ti making a Stage 1 spell when he could make a Stage 2?
Flor ca back after the promised 3 hours to deliver the sword to Flain as he had promised.
"It cost 35 Mana Crystals, but like I said—investing in you is worth it. Anyway, it would’ve cost even more if my family didn’t have a good relationship with a skilled enchanter," said Flor and handed Flain his sword.
Not much had changed about the sword—it was still massive and black. Except now, just like the armor, it glowed slightly. It was only noticeable up close, because from a distance it was almost invisible.
"Like I said, I’m not a noble yet because I haven’t reached Stage 6, so I have to get Mana Crystals from my family or earn them through work. When I beco at least a baron, I’ll get 500 Mana Crystals from the Empire of Light, so that’s my main priority," said Flor.
"I’m telling you this because we’re allies. And here’s one more piece of advice: avoid areas ruled by racist nations like the Empire of Light. They might see you as a demon and demand you take off your helt," said Flor and left.
anwhile, Itai ca over to Flain and looked at his new armor. "It looks pretty good, but honestly, it kinda looks like you’re imitating a demon," he said...
