Kael thought for a mont. As an Easterner, he preferred conversations at the dining table. So eting soone at a restaurant was best. But which restaurant was the problem. This crossover world included Food Wars, so many restaurants offered excellent dishes worth tasting.
For example, Kael had previously visited Kiri no Ya, which was quite good. He had eaten there once—Inui Hinako, ranked second among the Tōtsuki Elite Ten, truly deserved her title as the Empress. Her kaiseki cuisine was addictive. Kael wanted to taste it again, but other chefs' dishes also seed appealing.
After much thought, he decided: "Let's et at Shunkatei. I haven't been there yet, and I want to try their food."
Mai was surprised. "Oh, choosing Shunkatei? I didn't expect your taste to be this good."
Kael raised an eyebrow. "From what you're saying, you've eaten there before?"
Mai replied calmly: "I've been there a few tis with colleagues. The food suits my taste."
"Then Shunkatei it is," Kael concluded.
After agreeing, they chatted briefly before hanging up.
Erioh quickly asked: "Lord Demon God, shall I prepare a car to take you to Shunkatei?"
Kael waved his hand. "No need, I'll go myself."
Cars were far slower than his flight. More importantly, flying gave him the exhilarating feeling of stepping across mountains and rivers. No luxury car could compare. So Kael refused decisively.
Erioh persisted: "Lord Demon God, living alone must be inconvenient. Why not let Fusui serve you? She can handle small tasks for you."
Kael, about to take off, paused and looked at him deeply. "So, you plan to send bedwarrs?"
Seeing Kael didn't reject the idea outright, Erioh was delighted. "I only thought you needed attendants. They could also learn from your teachings."
Kael chuckled. "You're clever. But Fusui is too young. Forget her. Kure Yakusha is more suitable—send her."
Without waiting for Erioh's shocked reaction, Kael soared into the sky, leaving Kure Clan Village behind.
Erioh was baffled. Kure Yakusha was indeed a clan mber, but she wasn't in the village—she was in Tokyo. How did Kael know about her? Still, since Kael had nad her, Erioh couldn't delay. He would send Kure Yakusha. As for her husband, he would find another way to compensate him. All for the clan's survival.
An hour later, Kael returned to Tokyo from Kure Clan Village. Slower than before—his earlier trip had been urgent, rushing to teach the Kure Clan a lesson. Now, carefree, he enjoyed the scenery along the way, so his pace was more relaxed.
Back in Tokyo, Kael planned to rest. But then he received an unexpected call. It was from Isayama i, a mber of the Supernatural Counterasures Bureau.
"Hello, is this Renjou-kun?"
"It's . What a surprise, Ms. Isayama—you actually called ."
Kael smiled. It had been about a month since they last t, and this was the first ti she had called since exchanging numbers.
i heard his teasing and replied softly: "Sorry to bother you, Renjou-kun. If it weren't necessary, I wouldn't have called."
"What happened? Trouble on your side?" Kael asked.
"Yes, so trouble. Could you co if you're free?" she said, then gave him an address.
To Kael's surprise, he knew the place well—it was the Tōtsuki Resort.
"Alright, I'll head over imdiately." He had nothing else to do, so he agreed readily and flew toward the resort. He wanted to see what problem had stumped a mber of the Bureau.
Soon, Kael arrived at the resort, landing on an empty rooftop. From there, he surveyed the entire resort. One building was sealed off. Police had set up barricades, preventing anyone from entering. Clearly, a cri scene.
Kael descended and approached the building. The police tried to drive him away, but a single glance from him made them stop. He had used a minor spell to cloud their minds, making them believe he was authorized.
Inside, he saw a luxurious hall, over five ters high, spacious, with more than a hundred tables. Perfect for a grand wedding.
In one corner, a group had gathered. Among them was i, who had called him. And several familiar faces—Mouri Kogoro, Ran, Conan, Inspector gure, Sato Miwako, Takagi Wataru, and others.
Seeing them, Kael understood. No wonder soone had died—the Shinigami group was here.
In addition, there was a girl he hadn't t before but looked familiar. She stood beside Ran, with shoulder-length brown hair and a headband exposing her forehead. It was Suzuki Sonoko, Ran's best friend, often called "the busybody" by Shinichi, and the second princess of the Suzuki Zaibatsu.
Kael glanced at Sonoko, then turned back to Isayama i. "Long ti no see, Ms. Isayama."
