Just one day later, in the early morning, Li Xuan, Luo Yan, Yu Hongchang, and others appeared outside the stronghold of Duogansixing Zhihuishi Division in Dege City.
This is a small town with a population of less than ten thousand and it’s less than two hundred miles from Changdu. It’s also close to the Yushu region where the Folun Temple is located and Kangding is to its southeast.
In ancient tis, the Great Ancestor and Emperor Taizong showed great foresight and ambition. When they pacified Qinghai-Tibet, they granted all the flourishing cities such as Lhasa, Yushu, Changdu, Kangding as fiefs to the Lama monasteries and provided a large amount of land and small cities for the local Tu Division.
The Duogansixing Zhihuishi Division is one such case, with its base situated in the inconspicuous Dege City.
Strictly speaking, this division was not first known as Zhihuishi Division. The whole Duogan region was initially set up as a Zhihuishi Division.
The initial office held by ’Duogansi Khan’ was actually ’Taozhaoshi of Duogansi’.
Within the entire Duogan (Qing Tibet) region, there were a few other Taozhaoshis, such as Taozhaoshi of Duogandan and Taozhaoshi of Duoganlongda, etc. They are all the powerful local lords and each commands tens of thousands of soldiers.
However, after the changes in Tumu Fort, The Court massively bestowed official posts to the local lords in order to stabilize the border area. The Taozhaoshi of Duogansi was thus promoted to Zhihuishi.
Now, Li Xuan stood with his hands behind his back, gazing at this small city with a teasing smile, "What kind of structure is this array? It’s a great mix of Taoist and Buddhist principles."
Under his Tao-protecting Eyes, an array with a circumference of more than ten miles had already covered half of Dege City.
It overlapped with the city’s defense array of Dege but they didn’t affect each other.
From the way its spiritual chanism circulated, although the array had not yet been completed, it could already be put into use.
One could imagine the grand scale of this array when it was fully completed.
Jinping Dharma King, who was standing next to Li Xuan, took a deep look at the depth of Dege City and then said concisely, "Maitreya! White Lotus!"
Li Xuan turned to look at Jinping Dharma King with surprise, "Great perception, Dharma King!"
As far as he knew, Maitreya and White Lotus of the early Jin Dynasty were indeed hybrids of the Buddhist sect ’Pure Land Sect’ and the ’Taiping Sect’ which had caused chaos across the world in the late Han Dynasty.
Jinping Dharma King said indifferently, "At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, my predecessor was summoned by the Yuan court to go to Central Plains and fought with Monk Peng. He retreated with serious injuries after not long and was a heroic character. He once fought against ten with one, almost sweeping across nurous heavenly levels of the Shiwei people. Unfortunately, none of his disciples had any accomplishnt."
He then looked at Dege City in front of him, "This array follows Maitreya’s thod, with an investnt of at least five hundred thousand silver coins. The aim seems to be to deal with your Yangtang Divine Saber. Even so, Marquis of Guanjun, do you still want to enter?"
"They want to co, so I ca." Li Xuan smiled, "I have more important matters to attend to. Your Wencheng Temple is surrounded by a pack of wolves. I guess you’re not in the mood to stay here.
As the saying goes, delay leads to changes. It’s better to get rid of this small nuisance earlier. If so minor illnesses are not dealt with properly, they, too, can beco serious. I wonder if the Dharma King is willing to accompany on this trip?"
A twitch appeared at the corner of Jinping Dharma King’s lips. He thought he was already on the thief’s ship, was there still any other choice?
He sighed and said, "I, Jinping, will accompany you. However, I hope that Marquis of Guanjun can keep his promise."
Li Xuan laughed out loud with obvious pride, "With the assistance of Dharma King, the Khan Mansion of Duogansi Khan is really not worth having make a big military move. Next, please take action, Dharma Kings."
Behind him, the Eighth Hujiao Dharma King ’Nangebatsangbu’ imdiately followed the command, revealing behind him a statute of ’Akashagarbha Bodhisattva’ which was eight hundred feet tall.
As soon as he made a move, the void in the direction of Dege City collapsed.
anwhile, a golden light barrier enveloped Dege City. Around the city walls, one could see nurous blood-colored Sanskrit characters.
This was the self-reactive behavior of the defensive array of Dege City, resisting the power of the ’Akashagarbha Bodhisattva’.
The statute of ’Nangebatsangbu’, though clumsy in dealing with the Yangtang Divine Saber, making the Seventh ’Nangebatsangbu’ dare not use it when fighting against Li Xuan, yet it was incredibly overwhelming when used to bombard Dege City. The Bodhisattva’s left hand made the gesture of refuge, and his right hand was holding a lotus flower.
’Refuge sign’ pressed down towards Dege City. In just an instant, the golden light barrier beca distorted and seed to collapse.
At this mont, Jinping Dharma King also revealed his statute - it was a ’Dari Tathagata’.
Although it was not very large, only three hundred feet tall, but its imposing manner was much stronger than that of ’Nangebatsangbu’. It radiated unlimited light, with nurous streams of golden light, like a rain of arrows, pouring down towards the direction of Dege City.
In an instant, the city’s defense array beca riddled with holes. What was astonishing was that the extrely sharp golden light didn’t harm the grass or trees in the city after breaking through the city’s defense array, and people and buildings weren’t damaged at all, just like ordinary sunlight that fell on the ground.
When the entire city defense array of Dege City was nearly collapsing, Yu Hongchang waved her sleeve slightly. Her ’Four-legged Gilded Universe Star Cauldron’, also transford into a gigantic three hundred foot square cauldron, pressing down towards the direction of the Khan’s Mansion.
With a thunderous roar, cracks appeared on the city wall of Dege City that rapidly expanded like a spider’s web.
This sudden scene made all the people in the city stare in dumbfounded, panicking at the sight.
At this ti, Li Xuan flashed his body, arriving at the top of the city wall of Dege City.
"Where is White Maramu, the Zhihuishi of Duogansi? Co out and see ."
Within the Khan Mansion, a thunderous roar echoed, "Arrogant fool!"
With a roar like a lion, a bloody figure flew out of the city. He wore several layers of treasure armor, blood and murder all over his body, a large wolf-headed saber that embodied the power of ten thousand armies, and chopped towards the direction of the city’s head.
The unstoppable cold blade forced the city wall under Li Xuan’s feet, and the ground behind him to freeze completely.
Li Xuan stood calmly in place, watching as the intense blade light disintegrates before him. Not a single hair on his body was hard, only pieces of ice appeared at the edge of his clothes.
If this man had used a different martial law, he might not have been so calm. But since the opponent uses the ’Ice Style,’ Li Xuan did not take it seriously.
Even if the opponent’s saber housed the force of ten thousand armies and reached the power of the heavenly level, the opponent’s mastery of the saber was unworthy for him to dodge at the first strike.

At this mont, a Han man in a Taoist robe and a young girl approached from afar.
That was the mysterious Heavenly-Level Liu Zongquan from the Central Plains. As he walked in the air with murderous intent, he looked intently at Li Xuan, "My Array, although not fully ford, can already suppress this Yangtang Divine Saber."
At this mont, another man began to recite the na of Buddha: "Namo Amitabha!"
This man wore a dark red Lama robe, wore a high crown, and fell straight from the sky. Behind him, there was also a shining Buddha’s shadow, which was ten thousand feet high.
Li Xuan looked closely and realized he was one of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas of the Esoteric Sect, the ’King Kong Hand Bodhisattva’,
This was a Bodhisattva with enormous power, a vast divine power to remove evil spirits and demons, collectively known as the "Three Family Nas Honorable," representing the three traits of Buddha’s "power, compassion, and wisdom."
He reached out with both hands and instantly shattered the hands of Akashagarbha Bodhisattva almost to the point of collapse.
The face of the eighth ’Nangebatsangbu’ also gradually turned pale.
At this mont, if it hadn’t been for ’Dari Tathagata’ extending help, countless golden lights converged into the shape of a sun wheel, blessing in front of the eighth ’Nangebatsangbu’, his Akashagarbha Bodhisattva Dharma body would have been crushed.
The Lama looked at the Jinping Dharma King with anger and resentnt.
"Just as Duogansi Khan has said, Jinping Dharma King, you have conspired with Jin Dynasty and betrayed us Tubo people!"
The Jinping Dharma King remained silent while Li Xuan looked at him with an indifferent gaze, "Are you Jinggang Dharma King? Judging from your words, you seem to see yourself as a Tubo and refuse to be a subject of Jin anymore. If that’s the case, I’ll soon go to the court to request to revoke your title of Dharma king."
The Jinggang Dharma King was startled after hearing this, and then fell silent,
The title of ’Dharma King’ bestowed by the Great Jin Dynasty court is very important to him. Under the patronage of the dragon Qi from Jin Dynasty in Qing-Tibet, their cultivation as Dharma kings were steady and allowed them to dominate their surrounding territories.
"And how about not being a subject of yours?"
That was a huge figure as majestic as a mountain, about ten feet tall, with solid muscular bodies all over his body, extrely robust and strong.
He carried a heavy sword like a door panel on his back, lazily walked out from the east side of Dege city: "From now on, we Tubo people will take charge."
Li Xuan imdiately recognized this man. He was the top general from the southern part of Lhasa’s Anburo Clan, one of the two Heavenly-Level people in the secular world of Qing-Tibet, the eldest son of the lord of Anburo, ’Deji Yangzong’.
White Baimalamu, the Khagan of Duogansi, subsequently also broke into a jovial smile: "The words of brother Deji Yangzong, are exactly what I want. From now on, we Tubo people will take charge."
