Chapter 1631: After the modification: Chapter 434 Ti Flies

Nine days of still ditation, and in an instant, white-haired!

At this mont, Gu Chen’s expression was tranquil, his eyes motionless like deadwater, with the once jet-black and sacredly radiant hair now transford into pure, snowy white.

Even his entire aura had grown increasingly restrained and profound.

The Disorder Calming Sword, after an initial shock, finally relaxed upon discovering that aside from his snow-white hair, Gu Chen was entirely unscathed.

That day, Gu Chen rose to his feet and used the remains of all the ancient imperial court’s cultivators to construct a cetery at this site.

To be precise, it might even be considered a world, except that it was covered entirely in tombstones.

“Only I remain.”

After inscribing the final na onto the tombstones, Gu Chen stood there and murmured softly.

In these ten days, his turbulent emotions had settled and no longer surged as they did initially.

Everything had been buried deep in the furthest reaches of Gu Chen’s heart.

Because he understood, he could not afford to indulge further—this was far from over!

The upper realm still contained countless lives waiting for his rescue, and they were the cherished loved ones of the fallen cultivators—their most treasured connections.

“Rest assured, I will protect the upper realm. I won’t let your sacrifices be for naught,” Gu Chen whispered to the endless expanse of tombstones before him, his gaze bearing an indelible sorrow in its depths.

His very deanor had grown even more profound and weighty as a result.

Ten days earlier, during that battle, Gu Chen knew well that if not for the last-minute disruption from two cosmic universes entering their transitional fusion phase—where yin and yang were separated—the myriad worlds would have faced inevitable defeat.

The infinite demons of the Netherworld would have devoured everything within this great universe.

“I will put an end to this, I swear to you!” Standing amidst the graves of the fallen ancient imperial court’s cultivators, Gu Chen solemnly made his oath with resolute determination.

Boom!

In the next mont, divine resonance rippled across the cosmos as countless bolts of lightning dazzled the skies, billions of celestial thunders roaring unchecked.

According to his calculations, there were still thirty thousand years left until the complete fusion of the yin and yang universes.

It seed like a long ti, but in truth, within the cycles of epochs for the myriad realms, thirty thousand years were but fleeting.

Yet compared to the re centuries Gu Chen had spent cultivating, thirty thousand years felt incomparably vast.

And this was his final chance.

“I will use this ti to cultivate to the pinnacle, so that when the final battle begins, I can slay the progenitor of the Netherworld in one decisive strike,” Gu Chen murmured to himself.

By now, he had uncovered the truth: the progenitor of the Netherworld was, in fact, the heavenly principle of the Netherworld universe. Only by annihilating it could he sever the revival of the Demon Emperor and the infinite hordes of fiends.

Otherwise, the outco of the next great battle would mirror the last.

But to obliterate the progenitor of the Netherworld—that was no easy feat. After all, it was the heavenly principle of an entire cosmic universe. Though Gu Chen possessed the essence of the myriad realms, he remained an individual entity parallel to the principle, not above it.

To slay the progenitor of the Netherworld was an almost impossible task, daunting beyond belief.

Yet Gu Chen firmly believed he could achieve it—he would use the remaining thirty thousand years to accomplish this!

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Gu Chen arrived at the outer domain, his robe sweeping outward as the world of tombstones rapidly shrank and was collected by him.

Next, he prepared to summon the exiled Origin Island and the upper realm back.

Boom!

Without hesitation, Gu Chen acted, drawing upon universal principles and tracing the connections of cause and effect found in the intangible void, pinpointing the locations of the Origin Island and the upper realm.

“Return!”

Gu Chen roared, invoking harmony across all creation, as billions of rules materialized. Amidst a thunderous cacophony, the void shattered. A glowing island radiating divine brilliance, tied to a grand macrocosm, traversed endless dinsions, reappearing here once more.

All of this occurred without the knowledge of the inhabitants of the Origin Island and the upper realm, for Gu Chen had entirely severed their connections to the outside world before the war began.

He had done so to guard against unforeseen complications during the exile—a asure to protect the Origin Island and, most importantly, the upper realm.

Thus, except for a select few individuals, the majority remained oblivious to what had transpired.

In the next instant, Gu Chen’s figure flickered and returned to the Origin Island.

The lack of restraint in his aura caused Gu Qingyan on the Origin Island to sense his presence imdiately. She appeared in an instant.

“Big brother!”

Seeing Gu Chen unhard, Gu Qingyan was overco with joy. When the Origin Island had returned to the upper realm, she had sensed sothing, but had been deeply worried nonetheless.

Now, upon seeing Gu Chen, all of her concerns lted away in an instant.

But in the next mont, when Gu Qingyan saw the snow-white hair on Gu Chen’s back, her heartstrings trembled fiercely.

“Big brother, your hair…” Gu Qingyan’s jade-like face changed, and her voice quivered noticeably.

“It’s nothing,” Gu Chen turned to face his sister, shaking his head slightly.

Gu Qingyan’s voice choked, and for a mont, she was at a loss for words.

The sight of Gu Chen’s white hair deeply shocked her. Gu Qingyan knew her elder brother’s character well—how he had overco innurable hardships from the Nine Provinces to the upper realm, and now to this mont. What turmoil could have caused a head full of white hair?

Gu Qingyan dared not imagine, or perhaps she already faintly guessed the ultimate outco of this epoch-ending catastrophe.
