Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Volatile

Back in Lagos, the arrival of Adrian made everybody freeze. Not one of them had sensed him.

Karon reacted, a spike of blood grew from his side and tried to impale Adrian but it shattered before it could touch him.

Karon kicked off the ground, his body blinked over 15 tres away. He reached inside his cloak and grabbed a bone covered in runes.

This was sothing given to him by his mother, she said it would save his life if he crushed it.

He didn’t crush it but he was ready to at any mont. Adrian gave him a dismissive look then looked at Sanchez.

He didn’t say anything but his silence made him more terrifying. The vampires behind him felt their bodies freeze.

They had a feeling if they moved they would die and none dared even breathe too loudly. Even Lokna’s arrogance was gone.

His hands were shaking but he tried to hide his fear, they were not the only ones though because the agents felt the sa.

The director was sweating but he still maintained his composure and watched Adrian with folded arms.

Next to him, Nancy could barely stand still, her knees gave out and Bruce had to hold her up.

’ He’s beco even more monstrous.’ she thought with sweat pouring down her face. ’ I need to get out of here.’

Adrian didn’t know their thought nor did he care, he walked inside the mansion and sniffed the air.

The scent of alcohol,drugs, sweat and sex filled the air. He frowned with disgust.

" Oh hey there handso." One of the drunk girls approached him, her friends followed and circled him.

They talked and giggled, he could tell they were flirting but all he felt was disdain and annoyance.

’ Would it be more peaceful if they were all dead?’ he wondered then paused. ’ Damnit Adrian, they’re just normal people.’

He cursed himself, and walked off ignoring the girls. They looked dejected but didn’t continue bothering him.

Adrian spread his lunar realm and encompassed the entire house but he didn’t see the person he was looking for.

He frowned, " Could Sanchez have been wrong? Or did she just say that to draw

here?" He spoke to himself.

" Dude, don’t talk to yourself, that’s weird, girls don’t dig it." A muscular handso guy tapped him on the shoulder.

" Don’t mind him, I would dig anything you do and I an anything." A girl ca behind him and smiled seductively at Adrian.

She wasn’t the only one, most girls were eyeing him, while there were handso boys here.

Adrian’s look were basically divine, he had always been handso but after becoming a werewolf, he looked closer to a God than a mortal.

’ I should’ve brought the fox foot.’ he regrets not wearing the fox foot, it would’ve drawn attention away from him.

Unfortunately that thing slled terrible, he knew to a normal person it might not even sll.

But his senses were so much stronger its scent was overwhelming but even that scent of rot was better than this.

" Eve, show yourself." He whispered softly, his voice pierced through the walls and windows.

Yet Eve was nowhere to be seen, he sniffed the air once more. He could sll sothing dangerous was here not long ago.

It didn’t sll like Eve, after all Eve was a human. He shook his head and left, outside he found everybody still waiting.

They hadn’t moved, he gave the vampires a glance. " Ah, this is troubleso, should I kill you or not? I don’t know what to do, I want to sleep."

He whispered to himself but they all heard him and tenses up. Adrian had no idea what was happening but he was strangely sleepy.

Ring ring, ring ring, " Hello." He answered his phone.

" My lord, the lady has left her house after arguing with her mother about a party sowhere."

" Ah." He froze, ’ So this was the party they were arguing about? That’s troubleso, I should probably kill everybody before she gets here.

But what about these humans? No matter, I’ll just kill them as well.’ if others heard his thoughts they would be terrified.

He yawned, he could barely keep his eyes open and they could all see it, they relaxed a little.

" I’ve made my decision, I’m going to kill you all so I can go to sleep." He told them in a tired voice.

He was getting more and more sleepy, ’ What the hell is happening?’ he couldn’t understand where this fatigue ca from.

" I can’t allow you to do that." The director spoke catching everybody off guard.

’ What are you doing you idiot, you’ll get us killed.’ Nancy complained in her head, she was even eager to run away now.

" There are normal kids here, you know the rules boy and I don’t think even you are willing to break them."

" Huh? Is that threat? I don’t really like threat, this is troubleso, I guess I’ll just kill everybody then."

He took a step forward then heard a gun click, he raised his head and saw Sanchez pointing a gun at him with determined eyes.

This surprised everybody, they all felt an overwhelming sense of dread from him yet she was pointing her gun at him.

But they could all see her hands and knees shaking. She was terrified, " Adrian I can’t allow you to hurt innocent people."

Adrian looked at her with half closed eyes, " Allow allow allow, why does everybody keep thinking I need their permission?

If you want to die with them then fine, do as you like." He raised his hand slowly and pointed a finger at Karon.

Karon felt death envelop him, he was just about to dodge when Adrian lowered his hand.

He looked past Karon, everybody turned and saw a young girl with an afro walking towards them.

Those in the knowing recognised the girl, Sanchez sighed with both relief and worry. Annie’s appearance could lead to different outcos.

She knew Adrian is not going to kill people in front of her but if anything happened to her then she was certain everybody is dying.

Knowing Adrian, it probably won’t just be the people here, he was most likely to keep ravaging across the entire city.

She wasn’t the only one who realised that, Karon did too but he had different thoughts from hers.

Karon wanted to use Annie as a hostage to hold Adrian back but all of them had forgotten one thing.

Adrian had compulsion and telepathy, he could easily wipe her mind of any slaughter she sees here.

The situation was still just as volatile with her presence.
