Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Plans for an Outing

A young man’s voice shouted, Seyra stopped attacking, a handso young man with silver hair and eyes appeared in front of her.

She smiled," You must be Adrian, quite impressive of you to escape the grasp of those old farts."

Adrain looked at her coldly, " Leave, tell your people the east is out territory, if we find one of your pets lurking around.

You’ll be starting a war." He told her in cold threatening voice.

" Is that a threat?" She asked, her voicing turning cold but a hint of amusent was apparent beneath the coldness.

" No, it’s a promise and I tend to keep my promises." He answered without fear, this made her even more amused.

" Oh my, you’re quite a brave little one aren’t you?" He didn’t answer but a low growl escaped his lips.

He was losing his patience and she saw that and giggled, " Fine, but isn’t it too late to say we’ll start a war after you murdered so many of ours?"

Adrain smirked, " You kill and feast on humans all the ti just as they feasts on chickens yet none of you consider it murder, isn’t that because you consider yourselves superior to the other?

So tell , isn’t natural for a superior lifeform to feast on those below them, why would it be murder?"

His question made her lose her playfulness, she might not be as arrogant as other vampires but she was still a pridefuf vampire.

Being addressed as a lower lifeform by this wolf touched upon the pride of her species.

The situation got tense, she could feel he was ready to fight her at any mont and she just giggled.

" We’ll et again little pup." She turned into a cloud of bats and flew off, Adrain watched until she disappeared.

He turned towards his people, they looked exhausted, he looked around at the vampire corpses.

" Clean this up." He went to the house and found Sanchez sitting on a chair drinking coffee.

Her hands were shaking almost uncontrollably, " You can’t keep doing this to

Adrian, I didn’t sign up for this."

Adrain didn’t say anything, he crouched down and brushed Fluffy’s fur, she waged her tail happily.

" I would recomnd you don’t go to work for the rest of the week."

" Huh, why? I can’t just stop going to work." Sanchez complained.

" I’ll be taking Fluffy for a while, you’ll have nobody to protect you, of course you can take one of the Werewolves.

But a police officer needing protection while on duty doesn’t look very good now does it?"

Sanchez sighed, " Adrain, I have a life, it can’t just stop anyti sothing happens and you can’t deal with it."

He finally raised his head and looked at her but his eyes were cold, " I can deal with the situation, I just might’ve made a slight miscalculation."

Sanchez sighed, she knew how stubborn Adrain was and knew he won’t change his mind.

And frankly, as friendly and easy going as he usually is, she’s absolutely terrified of him and wouldn’t dare go against his orders unless necessary.

While she might argue, if he doesn’t change his mind, she’s doing what he said she should do.

" What am I going to tell my boss?" She asked, she knew her boss was a Fayera, she just didn’t know what kind.

" Call him." He told her, Adrain knew what kind of Fayera her boss was, he was actually surprised when he found out.

Usually his people were very cowardice, doing sothing as dangerous as police work went against their nature.

Sanchez called her boss. " Hello, Sanchez, why are you calling

this late?" A voice ca from the other side.

" It’s Adrian." The voice grew quite and Adrain heard heavy breathing, he thought the guy might know about him.

" What have you done with Sanchez?" He asked in a cold voice trying to sound brave.

" Sanchez is fine, do not concern yourself with her, I called to tell you she won’t be coming to work for the rest of the week."

Before the voice on the other side could say anything, Adrian hanged up.

-------------------------

On the other side of the call.

Mola placed down the phone and sweat trickled down his forehead, he looked at the side at his sleeping wife.

His kids were also in the sa room, unless necessary, molen families slept together for safety.

His wife woke up, " You’re okay?" She asked and he nodded. Mola had not been asleep when he received the call.

A few minutes ago he had received news from one of his own that the vampires, the witches and even the humans were surrounding a house.

While he didn’t have the specifics he knew they were after one guy and that guy was called Adrian.

He rembered the case of that little girl who ca to report a missing Adrian and filled in the blanks.

Considering how obsessed Sanchez was to that case, he had an idea what happened but what terrified him was that Adrain was alive.

He was encircled by all of the strongest people in the city and he ca out alive and had the ti to call him.

Mola sighed and went to bed, monsters like that were none of his problem, he a re moleman couldn’t do anything about them.

----------------------

After Adrian hanged up the phone, he left with fluffy, leaving Sanchez sitting alone in darkness.

She sighed and watched him disappear, " Why won’t you just turn

as well?" She whispered but nobody answered.

Adrian had heard her, he of course had his own reasons why he hadn’t turned her yet, Rosa had a lot to live for and a lot to lose.

Adrain didn’t want to have to turn people’s entire families for them to be together, he has already made an exception for Suzie and her sister.

He wasn’t making another, Sam ran up to him, " What now?" He asked.

" I may have miscalculated the danger our enemies posed to us, if we’re to survive I need to reach level 2.

I’m not far off now, a few level 2 hearts and I can break the barrier." He answered but Sam frowned.

" Are we going to hunt one of the barons now?" Sam asked with excitent.

Adrain shook his head, " No, they’re strong and their regeneration would make them hard to kill even if we win, they’ll certainly manage to escape.

If I want to find prey, I might need to leave the city for so ti."

Sam paused, " Are you ntal mate?"
