Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Leaving Trails
" Yoh what is happening? Stop this please." The man begged as he turned his gun against his own head.
Adrian opened a pack of chips and started eating them. ’ It seems the target can remain conscious while being compelled, good to know.’
The man now had tears on his eyes, " Co on man stop doing that." His friends shouted at him but he couldn’t stop.
" I can’t, I’m not doing anything man I don’t know what’s happening." He placed the barrel against his head.
His friends pointed their guns at him, " Stop this right now." They threatened him but he wasn’t scared of guns.
Seeing him ignore them they pulled their triggers. Bang bang bang, bullets pierced through his skin staining his clothes with blood but he didn’t even flinch.
He looked down, the bullets fell out of his body and clanked on the tile floor. The wounds closed in visible speed.
However they still left holes in his clothes, " Damnit man I like these clothes." The thugs looked at their guns then at him.
They started backing off with fear, before they could react they heard a bang. Blood and brain matter was splattered on their faces.
When they opened their eyes they saw the dead body of their comrade, the woman on the counter was the first to scream.
With Adrian’s higher senses, her scream was annoying, the last two thugs turned to run but found him blocking the door.
He had moved so fast they did not even see him move. To them he was standing and like a ghost suddenly appeared behind them.
They were so scared one of them pissed himself. Their eyes t his, " Shoot each other."
He ordered, they didn’t even have ti to beg for their lives before turning their guns in each other and shooting each other dead.
Adrian looked at their corpses and felt a sense of hunger and desire to eat them, he gulped then shook his head.
Eating humans sounded disgusting to him, he went to the counter with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
" Please don’t kill
please." The woman begged and cried, he reached out and she closed her eyes probably expecting him to attack her.
He placed cash on the tabled, " Please bag this." The woman opened her eyes confused.
She saw the cash and the items he bought, then rushed to do what he said with shaking hands.
He took the bag, " You will forget how I look or sound." He ordered, the woman nodded rapidly as if afraid he wouldn’t believe her but felt his compulsion sink into the air.
’ Perhaps it’s the eyes.’ " Look at ." He ordered. The woman raised her head with tears streaming down her eyes.
" You will forget how I look or sound." He compelled her again and this ti he felt it work.
He went back to his motel room and jumped onto the bed. He started eating his snacks and his heightened senses made them taste even better.
However he ca across a problem when he ate chocolate, he wanted to throw up, his throat felt like it was burning.
He ran to the sink and gulped down a lot of water. The burning sensation subsided and he took a deep breath.
" Fuck, I loved chocolate." He threw the remaining chocolate in the trash and went back to eating the other snacks.

Lucas was not very happy right now, he had just been woken up and inford they found poachers cars near the forest.
As the sheriff he couldn’t ignore that, he organised a hunting squad and they went into the forest.
His team split up, his dog led him through the thick snow and before long he caught the scent of blood.
He ran there and found a pile of dead wolves but there were no poachers. He clicked his tongue and spit on the snow.
" Damn animals, must be the whole pack right here, didn’t even spare the cubs, they should all just die if you ask ."
He complained, " Well then you’re going to like this." He heard his deputy behind him. He was led deeper into the forest.
" Dear God, what could’ve done this?" He couldn’t help but ask, Infront of them were corpses hanging on tree branches.
They were not tied but skewered into them. " These must be the poachers but what could do this to them?"
The woman next to him asked with a shaking voice obviously terrified, he tapped her shoulder.
This was a new recruit and he couldn’t allow her to get cold feet just because of this but he also couldn’t work with sobody who is faint of heart.
" You might get to see a lot of this in this line of work, make sure you can handle it or find sothing else to do.
