Finally, I can breathe. My won eventually left my body. They looked at , looking unsure. Of course, I wanted to jump up to hug them, but with how I looked, they would be confused.
I went down to the floor and found my roommate's hand sticking out between the piles of two beds.
"A human sandwich." Emily snorted.
Ah, she hasn't lost her sense of humor during these three months.
The sound of rapid footsteps began to approach. The bustle of the inmates has also filled the cell complex.
"We have to hurry…."
"Excuse ." Ayre pressed her forehead against mine. "I still have to confirm that you are Lord Vorn."
She closed her eyes just when two prison guards checked my room. "Hey, who are you guys?"
Emily kicks open the cell door, knocking it out and sending the two officers flying. Almost in an instant, the deafening sound of the alarm echoed.
"He is the real Lord Vorn!" Ayre shouted.
"We have to get out of here quickly." I imdiately led my won out.
The cheers of the inmates ca from all directions. The cell complex consists of three floors and surrounds an empty square floor. So, lots of inmates saw us.
"Holy shit! So many hot girls!"
"They're cosplaying!?"
"Hey miss, want to have fun with !?"
"Don't mind them!" I grunted as we descended the stairs. "Focus on escaping."
"I must admit," Phisovia muttered. "They have this amazing structure just to lock people up."
We were showered with sheets of toilet paper and other objects as soon as we got downstairs.
"Open the door!" I gave the order while pointing at a large tal door on one side of the compound.
Phisovia used her long hair to tug on the doorknob, knocking it off. Prison wardens with helts, weapons in the form of clubs or tasers, and transparent shields were waiting for us in the hallway.
"Don't get hit by their weapons!" I shouted again. "That will hurt!"
"Do not move!" The squad leader gave a warning, but of course, we didn't care.
The wardens fired their tasers. But my won can dodge easily. Phisovia uses her hair to tangle and throw them. Velvet and Emily give combination punches or kicks, and Ayre shoots ice spikes while I try but protect Lexi.
We are both normal humans. Even though I hate to admit it, I don't have the ability to fight against that many officers in full uniform.
We kept running from one hall to another. Many tis we also t other officers, whether in full uniform or not. And my won beat them easily.
"Why are you still wearing that appearance, Ayre!?" I asked when we were out of the cell block, across a large courtyard. "I told you to change it, right!?"
"I don't know. As soon as I get here, I automatically use this face." Ayre answered in a quick tone. "And now I can't turn it back, maybe because of inter-dinsional travel or the state of this world where there is no magic."
The gunshots echoed, and I gave another order to the shapeshifter general. "Ayre, shoot the people on those towers!!!"
She quickly followed what I said, shooting at the snipers stationed at the top of the guard towers.
Hearing Lexi's panting breath, I turned my head to the doctor. "Are you okay!?"
"I'm fine." She smiled, though her body swayed. "I can do this."
No. Our stamina as humans is very limited. We're actually slowing things down. The pain that returned in the scar on my leg didn't help either.
"Velvet, carry the doctor!" I asked the dragon woman for help. "And Emily, get ready!"
"Huh? Get ready for what?" the supre undead asked.
While Velvet took Lexi and held her like a princess carried by a prince, I jumped on Emily's back.
She winced but still kept my body. Maybe she still feels strange about my form.
"With this, we can escape faster!" I explained.
Although I actually hate this position.
"Yeah." Emily fixed my position on her back, then I put my arms around her neck. "You chose because I have brute strength like a minotaur."
Even though she sounded a bit cynical, I noticed her cheeks blushed.
Other wardens ca at us from various directions, and I gave instructions again. "Phisovia, attack them! Don't let anyone co near! Then Ayre, repel whatever they throw at us! Return it to them!"
Ayre used wind magic to return the tear grenades that ca at us, while Phisovia used her hair to stun the approaching wardens.
Because the non-human won didn't need to keep up with Lexi and , we could quickly get to the front gate. As before, Phisovia pulled open the tal door there.
We arrived at the parking lot, and several surviving wardens continued to chase us.
Looking around and finding no unlocked car, I said to Ayre. "Attack any vehicle with two lights in front of it! Show anything to frighten the driver! Rember, your goal is to stop the vehicle, not destroy it!"
"Sure, my lord!"
However, once we arrived on the street, we didn't find any cars.
"Co on." I hissed, wanting to get out of there quickly. If we stay too long, then the police and soldiers will co. Yes, we will probably get through them all. But before that, there will be a big ti-wasting commotion.
"Is that what you an, my lord!?" Ayre pointed at a sedan coming from the distance.
Too small, but we have no other choice. This was near the prison at night, so only a few people passed by.
"Yes, do it now, Ayre!"
The shapeshifter general jumped to the middle of the road while flashing flashes of electricity in both hands. The silver sedan braked imdiately, stopping just a few feet from Ayre.
"Pull the person inside!" I pointed at the vehicle.
Phisovia smashed the car's windshield, grabbed the two n sitting in the front, then threw them into the grass beside the road.
"Co in! Co in!" I got off Emily's back, then jumped into the car, and unlocked all the doors from the driver's seat
Seeing they were just stunned, I had to open the car doors for them.
Well, they've never seen anything like this.
Phisovia sat next to while the others were behind. Due to limited space, Lexi was forced to sit on Velvet's lap.
"Pull the door shut!" I step on the gas and laugh out loud. "Welco to my world!!!"
"This thing definitely uses magic!" Lexi exclaid as this car sped away.
