Chapter 992: Chapter 724 Sword Seal Seed
Watching Deross slowly walk down from the second floor with a smile and surrounded by a few figures, Roger quickly scanned the surroundings.
He didn’t see Fal among the crowd, everything seed normal, but Roger could easily discern the subtle shift in the atmosphere.
The staff, quick-handed and sharp-eyed, were noticeably more tense, and Fal, Bondi, and Biska were also absent.
Deross waved his hand and said few inconsequential words, and those intoxicated by the banquet’s atmosphere noticed nothing unusual.
Deross raised his glass, and others in the room responded, as soothing music played, officially starting the banquet, with several young people eagerly gathering around Deross.
They pretended to be composed and earnestly made conversation.
Deross responded with smiles, appearing at ease, but Roger noticed the anxiety in his eyes.
Clearly, sothing had happened not long ago on the third floor.
Just then, Roger noticed that Deross’s face turned pale abruptly, and he coughed sharply a few tis, with people beside him showing tily concern, yet Deross’s condition did not improve.
The coughing grew louder, his body swayed back and forth, gripping the wooden handrail intensely.
Several unfamiliar faces nearby showed slight changes in expression, and suddenly Bondi appeared, stepping forward.
“Sorry everyone, Mr. Deross is unwell, and won’t continue to disturb everyone’s enjoynt.” He approached Deross’s shoulder, using half his body to shield others’ view.
“It’s okay, it’s a sacrifice made for the kingdom.”
The words of the flatterer had barely fallen when Bondi was suddenly struck by a powerful force, flying five or six ters, knocking over several noblewon dancing at the banquet.
A commotion erupted in the room.
At this point, Deross’s body hunched over, his pale face adorned with raw blood vessels, eyes white, mouth gaped wide, exposing sharp white teeth, seemingly enduring great pain.
Roar!
A non-human howl erged from his throat.
Crack, the wooden handrail was easily broken by him, and the next mont, Deross had already charged into the center of the dance floor like a beast.
He waved his hand casually, and several bewildered noblewon were struck, breaking their necks.
He stepped forward, thrusting his severed arm into another’s body, his arm swelling, as though sothing was growing from the wound, then wreaking havoc inside the poor woman’s body.
“He’s killing people!”
“Mr. Deross is killing!”
Soone shouted loudly.
At this ti, although Deross still retained a basic human form, his state was almost indistinguishable from a wild beast.
The skin on his body seed to have several large bulges, as though sothing inside him rampaged.
“Monster!”
“That is a monster!”
The sudden change brought imnse chaos, the room descending into mayhem, and Roger had already retreated to the hall’s edge.
Bondi struggled to stand from the ground, shouting orders, so disguised staff advanced, so maintaining order, others surrounding Deross.
anwhile, a unique power fluctuation ca from upstairs, followed by deafening crashes, suggesting a new battle had erupted there.
The entire manor instantaneously shifted from calm to chaos.
A flash of doubt appeared in Roger’s eyes, hearing a collision upstairs, followed by a shadow leaping into the nearby courtyard.
The person glanced back, revealing an unfamiliar face.
Yet Roger imdiately recognized the attire he wore.
“Fal’s clothes.”
Hiding in the darkness, Roger went unnoticed by anyone, the man opened his mouth, strange noises issuing, sounding like no language, yet different from spell incantations.
Deross, in turmoil with several others, grew more agitated upon hearing the voice, splits appeared on the bulges of his skin, from which vicious spikes and slick appendages protruded.
Deross’s neck rotated one hundred eighty degrees, limp on one side, three fist-sized eyeballs squeezed out from his cracked chest.
With a transford state, Deross’s combat ability surged, soon more people collapsed in pools of blood.
Showing a cold smile, the tall figure made swift leaps, accompanied by screams, slaughtering those who blocked him rcilessly.
He lded into the darkness, entering the depths of the forest.
Soon, Havier, face bloodied, arrived at the ground floor hall, with Bondi still desperately holding on, now heavily wounded.
“Deross, he…”
“Too strong, none of us are his match!”
Havier’s expression changed, signaling out the window before having to join the assault on Deross.
Despite feeling regretful, he also knew that the brief clash upstairs had already shown him the strength of that Ox.
Unless focusing all their combat power, he couldn’t be held; pursuing alone now, upon returning, the other people in the manor would likely be dead.
“Everyone follow my command!”
Havier shouted angrily, charging forward.
In the dark grove, Ox transford into a ghoul, sprinting at extre speed.
His eyes glowed silver-white, perceiving darkness as daylight, occasionally pausing before reassessing direction, accelerating continuously until unknowingly breaking free from the blockade, distancing himself from Greenburg baron’s territory.
