Chapter 948: Chapter 704 Igni Sword Seal_2

The re thought of that possibility sends shivers down one’s spine.

Of course, Roger is still very far from that possibility, but he feels that he already holds the key to opening the future.

All that remains is to persist and move forward.

Swordsmanship is a simple physical attack applicable in almost any world, while the Dharma Seal cos from the Hunter’s Cabin. Though it seems simple, its true energy level must be very high.

Only through mutual fusion can one achieve the current accomplishnts.

Even if Roger explains this logic to others, it cannot be replicated.

Just like what he discovered earlier, the sword seal he has mastered and what the ordinary Demon Hunters have mastered are essentially two different things.

Calming his mind, Roger began to train diligently, rediscovering his forr feeling and solidifying his direction for the future.

Not far away, a halo circulated around Sonia’s body, and without needing to check, Roger knew she was absorbing the brilliance hidden in the four magical artifacts.

Both were imrsed in their busy tasks.

And Amanda?

Well, she obediently lay on the bed as instructed by Roger.

And truly, she was just lying there.

Rumble, rumble.

The ground shook, raising a cloud of dust, as a giant dragon whizzed across the sky. The towering city walls were leveled, and the dragon sculptures symbolizing the Guardian image had long collapsed.

Within the city, it was filled with won’s screams, children’s cries, and n’s struggles before dying.

“Lord Heyman, I joined the council a hundred years ago, and for the past several decades, aside from attending regular etings, I’ve never left the Kunir Plains…”

“No need to defend yourself, Nelson. We have already investigated and have evidence of your collusion with the rebels. According to the Speaker’s orders, your charges are affird, no defense needed.”

“Execution!”

“Absurd! This is the greatest slander against !”

A grey-brown giant dragon roared, “I am a council mber, and I demand to see the Speaker to apply for a reassessnt.”

“Soone must be framing !”

“They covet my territory and want to annex the most fertile land on the plains.”

The massive dragon’s eye scanned the surroundings, and a streak of lightning shot from its mouth, striking a dragon in the sky.

“Nelson, what are you doing? Are you going to defy the council’s orders?” soone shouted loudly.

“He’s a rebel, capture him and take him to Lord Heyman!”

“Stop, the matter hasn’t been investigated clearly, and I won’t allow you to ddle in the kingdom I protect!”

The dragon called Nelson flapped its wings, charging swiftly toward the figures leaping above the city.

At that mont, a blinding light flashed as a nacing golden dragon appeared out of nowhere, thrusting its sharp foreclaw easily through Nelson’s dragon scales.

The enormous body pressed down from the air, and the hapless Nelson, unable to fight back, was slamd to the ground. In his struggle, one of Nelson’s eyes was clawed apart, and as he flipped over to escape, the opponent’s power was terrifyingly imnse.

Dust rose around, and reflected in his remaining solitary eye was Heyman’s sinister and horrifying figure.

“There’s nothing to argue about, a rebel must die!”

With a crisp snap, Heyman twisted Nelson’s neck, then slamd it down with his foreclaw, crushing Nelson’s massive head.

With a sweep of his long tail, Nelson’s body was cleared away like garbage.

“Speed up, expel all residents from the city, whether they are Transcendents, ordinary people, or the country’s Royal Family.”

“Everyone is treated the sa!”

“Gather them together and then destroy this city. I want a tall tower built on the city’s ruins in the shortest possible ti.”

Heyman announced loudly, “Colluding with the rebels, they are all guilty, the land is to be divided.”

He issued orders swiftly, caring not for the lives of ordinary people. Though nurous, ordinary Transcendents were hopelessly outmatched by dragons.

Resistance was almost aningless.

Heyman resud human form, standing atop in golden, shimring armor, his eyes slightly downcast with a touch of shadow beneath them.

As the highest leader of the council, he certainly knew whether or not Nelson was truly a rebel.

But none of that mattered anymore. As per the inspector’s orders, the Black Tower’s site couldn’t be changed. He originally thought most would be established in desolate places.

However, upon seeing the final construction plans, Heyman suddenly understood that everything had been planned all along.

Expanding from Sky City as the core, the chosen locations were the most fertile, densely populated countries.

And his Sky City was essentially the original Black Tower.

If they followed the normal procedures to relocate the population and appease the dragons, such a vast project would take an indefinite number of years.

With no alternative, Heyman had to create conflicts. In the short term, only a limited number of dragons were involved, and with the land divided, most people dared not voice their anger.

Yet continuing forward would undoubtedly provoke a massive backlash.

He voiced his concerns, but the inspector also offered a solution, “Don’t worry, they will agree. This world has been too peaceful for too long; they don’t know what true blood and fire are.”

Heyman, both believing and skeptical, nonetheless faithfully executed the inspector’s command.

Soon, a few scattered Black Towers were built.

The life forms that died were funneled through the Black Towers into a vortex at the top of Sky City, from which Heyman saw a pitch-black, snarling Black Dragon crawl out.

Then ca the second one.

At this point, he finally understood the inspector’s plan. As expected, these terrifying Black Dragons, fearless of death, appeared all over Erode imperceptibly.

Wars erupted, slaughter comnced.

Along with the rebels’ intrusion, the world’s situation plunged into chaos.

Of course, Roger knew nothing of this, quietly staying in the palace, diligently absorbing and mastering new powers.

During breaks, he had Sonia help transmit ssages to another world, though the only real headache was Amanda.

Compared to the busyness of the two, Amanda, who could only lie in bed, indeed found it sowhat boring.

However, later, with Roger’s enhancent in understanding of the Igni Sword Seal, he began to guide Amanda in learning new things.

Until one day, the halo enveloping Sonia completely dissipated. As the mist dispersed and everything returned to normal, the elegant unicorn vanished.

In its place was a delicate and unimaginably beautiful woman.

“Your power…”

Roger exclaid in surprise.

“Filled all gaps. By integrating so of this world’s brilliance, the suppression on my body has been slightly lessened, allowing to alter my previous form limitations.”

Sonia stood up boldly, and with a breath, a high-collared purple robe appeared on her body.

“Sorry, in my current state, I can’t initiate the ceremony, but I think I can try to obtain so information from another world.”

“At least we are no longer limited to one-way communication.”

“Wonderful!” Roger clapped his hands in delight.

Specific operations required Amanda’s cooperation. After a short rest, Sonia quickly activated the ceremony, and as ti passed, she gradually opened her eyes.

With a wave of her hand, the paper was suddenly filled with dense characters, and Roger eagerly picked it up. After a long ti, he breathed a sigh of relief.

“Evans and Chachi have already been captured by Henrik and the others, and everything that needed to be said has been disclosed.”

Roger smiled, “This guy really has a knack. Knowing that high-tier dragons are extrely proud, sotis they would rather die than submit.”

“They found Evans’ world-traversing thod, but unfortunately, it’s a form of directed crossing…” Roger pondered any overlooked clues, frowning.

At this mont, the surrounding palace gently shook, a sense of oppression coming from above. Sonia reverted to her unicorn form, and a tiny fla burned in Roger’s hand, erasing the characters on the paper.

He turned around to see Jora’s figure at the doorway. Since their last parting, Jora appeared as though he had been through dozens of battles, looking exceedingly weary.

“How is your progress?” Jora eagerly asked upon seeing Roger.

“The basics are done; I believe the only thing I lack now is Life Essence.”

“Impossible?!” Jora’s face changed, flickering forward toward Roger.

“Nothing’s impossible. By compensating for the lack in Life Essence, I think I should be able to advance to the Fifth Tier.”

Roger chuckled softly.
