Chapter 901: Chapter 681: Brother, That Must Have Hurt_2

The two “Giant Dragons” roared incessantly, clearly consud by deep-seated grudges, and soon clashed in battle once more.

The overall strength of the Green Dragon was not much greater than Chachi’s. In a fair fight, the victor would undoubtedly pay a heavy price.

Yet sohow, through so unknown thod—perhaps influenced by the surrounding toxic fus—ti gradually wore Chachi down until he beca feeble and powerless, reduced to a state where he could only endure blows without counterattack.

anwhile, the battle between their subordinates was nearing its conclusion. Chachi’s forces were slaughtered, utterly crushed, and hunted down one by one with no avenue for escape.

Chachi made several attempts to flee, managing only to tear open a small spatial rift, but it would promptly be sealed shut by the encroaching smoke.

Each ti, he fell back into a passive stance.

Even so, Roger remained motionless, continuing to wait. Not until Chachi’s wings had been torn off, leaving him teetering on the brink of death, did Roger leap into the battlefield.

“Boom!”

Roger’s sudden arrival caught the Green Dragon off guard. It took a large step back, warily eyeing this unexpected human intruder.

At that mont, the dying Chachi, through the blood of the dragon pooling around him, spotted the figure standing not far away.

“It’s… you…”

The echoes of Arnia’s official language reverberated in his mind as Roger glanced back at Chachi without saying a word. His thoughts flowed directly into Chachi’s mind.

“Seems like you’re not doing too well here.”

Roger smirked. “If you’d stayed over there, at least your life wouldn’t be in danger.”

From every indication, Chachi was by no ans a good person, but Roger lacked sufficient information about this world. He needed a Transcendent familiar with the place.

“You… Geralt, how are you here?”

Chachi asked in astonishnt. During Roger’s last visit to Europe, he had used the alias Geralt the entire ti.

“Did you follow the residual spatial ripples I left behind into this world?”

Chachi let out a bitter laugh. “Damn it. My consciousness had just returned to my body when I was attacked. I stayed away too long; there’s already a rift between my soul and my body.”

“That’s why…”

A sudden dragon’s roar interrupted their conversation.

Roger looked toward the Green Dragon with displeasure. At that mont, faint light emanated from around him, allowing him to understand the specific aning behind the dragon’s words.

“Who are you?”

“This is between and Chachi…”

The Green Dragon’s voice lingered, but unbeknownst to all, under the cover of the smoke, razor-sharp claws glinting with a cold light were already striking toward Roger’s face!

This cunning creature had never intended to negotiate. It used the pretense of talking to launch a surprise attack.

But how could it know that while Roger appeared to be conversing with Chachi, his full attention was fixed on the dragon?

So when the dragon attempted its sneak attack, the ground beneath Roger’s feet shifted, and his body retreated over ten ters as if by teleportation.

In the next mont, amidst flying earth and rocks, a massive spike of stone erupted from the ground.

The rock pillar was thick and long, sharply angled, extending upward at nearly a forty-five-degree incline.

At this point, the sneering Green Dragon had just noticed Roger’s attack. But having expended all its strength on the sneak attack, it now had no ans to evade.

And then…

Thud… Crack… Roar!

Three sounds erupted almost simultaneously. The stone spike Roger had summoned shattered upon impact, but not before fulfilling its purpose.

It destroyed sothing strikingly similar in shape.

The difference was that the Green Dragon’s counterpart was sothing usually hidden beneath its scales, which the stone spike, naturally, could not pierce through.

But judging by the grotesque deformation…

It must have hurt. A lot.

Roger hadn’t intended to launch such a… undignified attack, but the dragon’s perfectly tid sneak attack had forced his hand. Under such circumstances, he simply couldn’t resist the urge to strike back.

More importantly, he wanted to test his current strength through this attack, even though his previous observations had already led him to an approximate conclusion.

In battle, however, any oversight could be fatal, so Roger sought direct confirmation.

And the cost? Well, it was just two dragon eggs.

As expected, the results mirrored his predictions.

The Green Dragon before him was decently strong, but compared to others horizontally, it barely amounted to a late-stage Fourth Tier power—far from the Extre Path level he had imagined.

As for the Fifth Tier, Roger had ruled out that possibility before even stepping into the fray; otherwise, he would’ve fled long ago.

“Roar… Aah… Oooh… Erk!”

The Green Dragon let out all manner of agonized cries. No need for an examination; the sheer agony in its voice painted a vivid picture of the pain.

With his judgnt ford, Roger would not offer the dragon a chance to recover. Advancing a step forward, countless spikes of stone erupted from the ground.

The blinding pain left the Green Dragon’s mind blank, but fear drove it instinctively to leap into the air.

Quickly, though, it realized just how grave its mistake was.

Even in the air, the surrounding space felt oppressively heavy, as though it bore the weight of a mountain, amplifying Roger’s strength to an incredible degree.

Following an incapacitating blow, the next mont, the Green Dragon learned the aning of “pierced from all sides.”

Even though its scales provided so protection, the pure impact force still gravely injured its vulnerable parts. Blood spurted through the gaps in its scales.

The dragon scread, its Scale Armor trembling, its body surrounded by flickering illusions. Then, with an explosive boom, the toxic green mist shattered. As the smoke cleared…

A pitiful man with mangled flesh below his waist erged before Roger.

“Strange, their physiology seems quite different from what Sonia described?”

Roger furrowed his brow in confusion.

“You’ve destroyed his Dragon Body. He won’t live much longer…”

“Even if he survives…”

Despite being mortal enemies, Chachi trembled uncontrollably in that mont. “Spare him a quick death.”

“You do it.” Roger, however, made no move. Instead, he turned to ask.

Chachi hesitated briefly before his massive fra rose, raising a claw.

Smack.

The world fell silent.

The next mont, the grievously injured Chachi retreated a few steps, kneeling before Roger, with an expression of utter humility on his dragon face.

To be honest, Roger couldn’t quite grasp how he perceived this emotion.

“Respected Lord Geralt, please forgive my negligence.”

“Lord?”

Roger found himself perplexed by Chachi’s sudden change of deanor. The overwhelming force he had displayed was undeniable, but this…

“You hail from the Supre Dragon Court, so naturally, you are one of us…” Mid-sentence, Chachi abruptly stopped, as if realizing sothing.

“I understand now. You don’t want others to know, ah…” A look of enlightennt flashed across his face.

“That’s why you chose this thod to enter here.”

“I see, my lord. Please, is there anything I can do to assist you?”

Roger suppressed his surprise. Clearly, for so reason, Chachi had mistakenly assud he was so high-ranking figure from the Supre Dragon Court.

Roger had never heard of such a place, but under the current circumstances…

It seed like a promising start.

After a mont’s consideration, Roger said, “Just call Geralt.”

“As you command, sir.”

Chachi’s enormous fra shuddered before transforming into human form.

The result was a man appearing to be in his forties, mature and handso, with weathered features etched with the passage of ti. However, his pale complexion and unsteady footsteps sowhat marred his image.

“How long have you been back?”

“I didn’t have ti to calculate precisely; I was attacked the mont I transmitted back to my body.”

Roger’s expression tightened slightly.

“The energy level of the world we were in previously is much lower. Its ti flows roughly at ten tis the speed of this one. One day here equals ten there.”

“Tenfold.”

When he’d left Europe for South Arica, only a few days had passed. That equated to rely a few hours in this world.

Upon learning this, Roger wasn’t alard but rather pleased.

Because it ant that Amanda might still be safe for the ti being.

He nodded, feigning an air of inscrutable depth.

“Let’s go. We’re leaving this place.”

“Tell about so things here.”

As the green mist dissipated, Chachi added one final remark: “Allow to deal with the remnants… Don’t worry; it won’t delay you.”

Roger nodded, and in an instant, blood splattered everywhere.

Soon after, with the slaughter complete, the battlefield grew quiet, with no trace of the two remaining.

Monts later, Roger found himself in a magnificent palace courtyard.

Before he had the chance to examine his surroundings, a faint ripple reverberated by his ear.

There was no mistaking it.

It was Sonia’s voice.

But hadn’t she already left?
