Chapter 854: Chapter 659: Tell , which sword of mine do you like?
Roger felt imnse pressure simply from the intensity of the power, but what concerned him the most was the hidden aspect behind Hillrenes’ attack power.
In fact, as Roger had observed, purely destructive power had nearly reached the ultimate limit of the Everworld through Sword Master Cold Crow.
At the Fourth Tier, he was the pinnacle among pinnacles.
Roger was uncertain whether anyone in the Western Transcendent World at the sa tier could surpass Sword Master Cold Crow in power.
But at least in this world.
Sword Master Cold Crow represented the boundary.
Yet the power displayed by Hillrenes was vastly different from Sword Master Cold Crow’s, as her sheer strength wasn’t much greater. However, even an ordinary impact from her felt like an enormous threat to Roger.
Without hesitation, he instinctively swung the Sword of Destiny in his hand.
The weapon in this mont was no longer what it originally was; Sword Master Cold Crow’s power had converged within it, completely altering its properties.
A flash of black light tore through the air, like a bold brushstroke gliding across rice paper. Even though it was just a casual attack, Roger’s spirit was violently shaken.
In that instant, all the power within him surged forth.
The Pale Blood inside him, the legacy of Atlas, the perfectly fused dual Sword Seals, and the Spiritual Power he had once cultivated.
At this mont, all his abilities seed to find a common balance, and under the integration of the weapon in his hand, they were released together!
There was no violent collision.
A streak of black light swept across the sky, and Hillrenes was astonished to find that one of her attacks had been successfully blocked.
“This is not his power!”
“Your power… contains Western bloodlines!”
Hillrenes’ exquisitely beautiful face imdiately twisted into anger as if she had realized sothing.
“Who are you?”
“Who sent you here!?”
“Is it…?”
Just as she was about to blurt sothing out, Hillrenes suddenly paused, hesitating briefly before speaking again:
“Did the one behind you tell that crow my na?”
Roger’s eyes widened. All along, it had been this woman drawing her conclusions. He wanted to explain, but as he looked down at the weapon in his hands, he realized all words were utterly powerless.
[Domain]
Hillrenes spread her ten fingers wide. Around her, the space Sword Master Cold Crow had shattered began to repair itself. In an instant, the two of them vanished from the Summit of Hankawa.
“Capturing you will reveal everything I need to know!”
Hillrenes chanted as thousands of shimring silver threads appeared behind her. Then, an enormous, nacing beast materialized out of thin air.
However, the terrifying creature now appearing behind Hillrenes was completely unlike the Silver Dragon Roger had encountered before.
Its wings seed to have been violently torn from its body, leaving massive wounds on either side of its ribs. Additionally, its surface wasn’t entirely covered in Dragon Scales.
At specific vital points, silver scales could still be seen glimring, but much of its body had been carelessly patched together.
The dragon-scale-shaped armor plates shimred with a familiar luster Roger imdiately recognized. His heart stirred, and he quickly deduced the origin of these repaired scales.
They belonged to the legendary, extraordinary Guardian Spirits spoken of only in myth.
“What sort of being could have inflicted such injuries on her?”
“If this is her form after recovering, then what did she look like before?”
Furthermore, a distinct wound caused by Sword Master Cold Crow remained visible at the center of the dragon’s forehead.
Perhaps this form she now displayed was her true nature.
Within Roger’s consciousness, a component originally belonging to Sword Master Cold Crow had spontaneously detached and rged into the weapon in his hand.
Accompanied by a crisp bird cry, the weapon in Roger’s hand shattered abruptly. Each fragnt fractured repeatedly until all that remained was a wisp of black smoke.
The residual consciousness combined with the remaining power of Sword Master Cold Crow, but as the two reached perfect balance, the portion of consciousness belonging to Sword Master Cold Crow surprisingly divided itself further.
Completely annihilating Sword Master Cold Crow’s presence.
Roger’s heart trembled. “Such a strong will.”
“Even at the cost of self-erasure, it insists on making the other side pay a price.” Roger sighed softly.
Sword Master Cold Crow’s power derived from the being before him. No matter how high his limits or how strong his abilities, it would be nearly impossible to harm Hillrenes.
This was why arrangents were made within Hankawa.
At this mont, only by erasing the imprint of Sword Master Cold Crow’s presence from the power could the energy beco ownerless.
Then, it could be wielded by Roger.
Roger extended his hand forward, and amidst the swirling black mist, the new Sword of Destiny took shape.
The blade was slender and entirely pitch black, save for a trace of bone-white marrow at its core.
Roger swept his weapon casually, instantly absorbing all the weapon’s information.
Black Moon: Crafted with the essence of High Tier Vampires as its backbone, fused with rare minerals and energy from the Everworld, it condensed the full power of an Ultimate Sword Master.
Tier-breaking: Surpasses boundaries and delivers damage to Fifth Tier opponents.
Hillrenes’ Ruin: Increased damage to specific entities and an ability to intimidate Dragonborn!
???
In essence, the functionality of Roger’s new Black Moon was singular — tier-breaking.
Without this power, Roger would have already lost or been killed outright during his clash with Hillrenes.
But this unique ability enabled Roger to overco the pressures of the Fifth Tier and cause harm to Hillrenes.
