Chapter 558: Chapter 512: Gawain in Action (Combined) Chapter 558: Chapter 512: Gawain in Action (Combined) “The newspaper reported a homicide, saying that a serial killer had escaped from prison and then created a horrific tragedy on a bus,”
As everyone’s gaze fell on her, the plump girl squinted her eyes even more narrowly.
“It’s all nonsense, those newspapers have all been bought, writing nothing but garbage.”
“I have a cousin who accidentally saw sothing he shouldn’t have, it should have been the last bus, which supposedly disappeared while it was running normally, only to reappear after 10 seconds.”
“There was only a 10-second gap, but the bus was wrecked beyond recognition, and the passengers were torn to pieces, it’s definitely not sothing a human could do.”
The murmur of the crowd grew louder, gradually more people joined the discussion, so were purely speculative, and others heard it through the grapevine.
But it wasn’t hard to see from this that Europe had not been exactly peaceful recently.
“That is terrifying, it seems fleeing from there was the right choice.”
The girl leaned closer to Gawain, as if looking for so comfort.
“It’s too noisy here, let’s go downstairs for so food…”
The girl extended an invitation.
“Alright,” Gawain nodded his head.
After escaping from that place, he had exerted so effort to heal his injuries, and without gaining anything from it, Gawain was clueless about what to do next, but he had recently felt a terrifying scrutiny coming from the void.
Since that day, the feeling had often appeared, regardless of ti or place, and with no choice left, Gawain could only completely seal his own power and present himself as an ordinary person.
Only then did the situation improve.
It was lunchti, and there were many people eating in the restaurant, but the girl, holding Gawain’s arm, luckily found a seat by the window.
Bathed in the sunlight through the glass, Gawain saw the reflection on the window, but soon his expression solidified on his face.
He saw a familiar shadow.
In that instant, Gawain almost launched an attack, but soon realized the environnt he was in and the changes that had occurred across Europe, and his motion to stand halted abruptly.
He slowly turned his head back.
“Long ti no see, Gawain.”
Looking at Roger’s smiling face, Gawain said nothing.
“Master, how did I perform?”
The girl nad Annie’s-face changed dramatically, as she spoke with a flattering attitude.
“You…”
Gawain glanced at the woman sitting next to him. To avoid the surveillance from the void, he had restrained most of his power, but that didn’t an he had lost his basic judgnt.
He was sure that the woman before him was just an ordinary person.
“Get so food.”
Roger waved his hand and casually sat down opposite Gawain.
“I need to have a good talk with this gentleman.”
Annie stood up, swaying her hips as she left.
After gaining control of Tamara, Uma almost had no strength left to control any other Transcendents.
However, controlling ordinary people through the power of shadows was still effortless.
“What do you want to do?”
“Mr. Mist, I don’t believe we have any conflict between us, do we?” Gawain cautiously asked.
“I want you to do sothing for ,” Roger replied with a smile.
“What is it?” Gawain asked calmly, his gaze unwavering.
“Be honest, you must have noticed that surveillance, too.” His finger lightly tapped the table.
“It was .”
“So, no matter where you go, I can find you.”
Gawain clenched his fist but soon could only release it in defeat, as he couldn’t quite figure out what had gone wrong.
“Help kill soone.”
“Who?” Gawain asked in a cold voice.
“A female sorceress, Margaret, Third Tier.”
“Her?” Gawain was naturally aware of Margaret, but this only made him more perplexed.
“Make it quick,” Roger advised.
“Alright,” Gawain nodded and then gritted his teeth, “the Elder of Shadow’s body…”
“Is mine.”
Gawain looked defeated.
“Yes, I know, but I was hoping maybe…”
“No.”
Before Gawain could finish his sentence, Roger flatly refused.
“Aren’t you afraid of what I might do…” Gawain said, slightly indignant.
“As you can see, I am not,” Roger spread his palms out.
“But to show my generosity, I can also do you a favor,” Roger tasted the coffee that Uma’s controlled girl had brought and then pushed another cup in front of Gawain.
“The taste is not bad, don’t miss it.”
Gawain didn’t touch the cup in front of him but just watched Roger.
“I can eliminate the threat from Tamara for you,” Roger said.
“Tamara!?”
It would have been better not to ntion this na—upon hearing it, Gawain nearly jumped up ready to turn hostile.
“You dare to ntion that na to ? I’ve finally figured it out, did you kill his son and pin the bla on ?” Gawain felt a wave of sorrow in his heart. Ever since he t this man, not one thing he intended to do had co to fruition.
“So, you don’t need it?”
Sipping his coffee, Roger leaned back in his chair.
“Okay then, forget it. As far as I know, Tamara is searching for you all over the world.”
“Ah.”
Roger sighed.
“Her offer is tempting, I must admit, I’m quite moved myself.”
“Huh…”
Gawain exhaled deeply, “Alright, you win.”
“I promise to complete the task you’ve given thoroughly, and I’m also counting on you for the matter with Tamara.”
