Chapter 535: Chapter 500 Passage Ford! (Two in One)_2 Chapter 535: Chapter 500 Passage Ford! (Two in One)_2 “To be honest, I don’t even know what I am myself?”

“Am I Gawain?”

“Am I an organ on a corpse?”

“Or am I a wad of consciousness created by Lilith using the magical mirror and a ritual?”

“None of that matters,”

Gawain reached out to probe the belly of the Elder of Shadows.

“Pale Blood?”

“In fact, this body is most precious, but it’s a pity I can’t take it with now. However, next ti, when I have enough strength…”

Gawain’s hand touched sothing wriggling, the stomach of the Elder of Shadows, the only organ on this corpse that still had activity!

“This ti, let take that first.”

In Gawain’s words, the last bit of Essence Blood was drained from the Black Soul.

Just as Gawain was about to exert force to tear off the writhing stomach of the Elder of Shadows, a voice sounded by his ear.

“Since you’re not in a hurry, you can wait until next ti.”

“I’ll go first this ti.”

Splat!

Accompanied by a muffled groan, a black sword tip appeared in front of Gawain’s chest. His face suddenly changed, “Mist?!”

“Impossible?”

“Aside from , no one can enter this world without bypassing Lilith!”

It was then that he suddenly rembered the words Lilith had said when he entered this world.

“Is it you?!”

“So Lilith was guarding against you!”

Roger didn’t make a sound; all his strength at that mont was used to expand the wound on Gawain’s body.

“Ah…”

Gawain scread, and at the sa ti, nurous tentacles shot out from the Elder of Shadows’ stomach again.

Facing these attacks, Roger unleashed the Pale Blood hidden within him, and the Quinn Dharma Seal, strengthened by the power of the Pale Blood, ford a fortress-like defense.

The tentacles struck Roger but couldn’t shake him at all.

Seizing the opportunity, Roger unleashed the energy from within the Cursed Sword, and Gawain felt a terrifying force crazily devouring his Life Essence!

“This is a weapon that once belonged to Lilith!”

Taking advantage of the mont the tentacles attacked Roger, Gawain moved sideways. He voluntarily gave up his body’s defense, and the sharp Cursed Sword almost split him in two.

But even as he was severely wounded, he also managed to put distance between himself and Roger.

“Fourth Tier, you’re actually a true Fourth Tier?”

“How is that possible?”

Roger stretched out his hand to touch the Pale Blood inside the chest cavity of the Elder of Shadows, but as soon as he drew close, countless tentacles attacked him again.

Thinking of the two different occurrences, Roger suddenly understood sothing. Clearly, it must have been Gawain’s presence that caused such an obvious change in the Elder of Shadows’ corpse.

Roger raised his sword to defend. The tentacles from the stomach touched the Cursed Sword, and at the sa ti, the notice board provided a prompt.

[Wriggling Stomach]: This is the only surviving organ on the body of a deceased Elder of Shadows. It is called a stomach, yet it is the most powerful devouring channel on the Elder of Shadows’ body.

Even if the body’s owner has died, the surviving organ still spontaneously absorbs the surrounding energy, maintaining its own vitality.

If fed with ample flesh and blood, the full activity of this organ will be stimulated.

Use with caution, for while it provides you with powerful offensive abilities, it may also devour the host at any ti!

What the hell is this?

Cursed Item? Transcendent Materials?

Apparently neither, it seems only after absorbing the essence of the Black Soul and other ordinary Transcendents’ Life Essence did it fully activate the activity of this organ.

Of course, the most important factor was Gawain.

It was Gawain’s appearance that made this instinct-driven thing display strong aggression.

Roger gripped the Cursed Sword in his hand tightly.

“It looks like whatever I want to take with , I should kill you first.”

Gawain scoffed.

“Fourth Tier?”

“In this place, you won’t be able to kill so easily. That crazy woman Lilith could co back at any ti.”

“What you want is that pure clump of Pale Blood, what I want is sothing else. We take what we need and leave imdiately.”

“How about that?”

As Gawain was recovering from the wounds on his body, he spoke.

“Your suggestion…”

Before his words fell silent, Roger stomped on the ground, creating a shallow pit beneath his feet, and lunged forward at extre speed.

“Have you gone mad?”

Roger, however, did not answer Gawain’s question. Had he not read the description of the writhing stomach on the notice board, he might have truly believed Gawain’s words.

Clearly, Gawain’s choice not to absorb the Pale Blood at that mont was not out of generosity, but because he simply couldn’t.

The Energy was too imnse, completely beyond his capacity to absorb.

But if he managed to control the writhing stomach…

Then perhaps he could forcibly consu Energy far exceeding his own limits by several tis.

Roger naturally would not give him that chance.

So when he made his move, it was with all his might unleashed.

The passage ford by the Pale Blood opened, and the Energy sealed within the Cursed Sword surged into his body.

Previously, before Roger had begun the Dream Trials, his body was his greatest weakness, and the Cursed Sword enhanced him in every aspect.

But now that his body had reached its limit, augnted by the Pale Blood, the enhancent the Cursed Sword provided was no longer so pronounced.

But this also ant that Roger could fully harness the Energy within the weapon.

More importantly, he had integrated the final weapon he had wrested from the Headless Knight Rams into the Cursed Sword.

This made the weapon even more complete.

At this point, the power Roger possessed was thoroughly Fourth Tier. He was confident that with this strike, Gawain, despite all his tricks, would be utterly unable to withstand it!

“Ahh!”

Gawain let out a roar of fury, and Roger once again caught sight of that pitch-black scythe.

Yet, against the absolute disparity in strength, Gawain’s resistance was futile. The Cursed Sword shattered his weapon; its sharp blade cleaved in from his shoulder, slicing Gawain completely in two down to his waist!

He scread in agony as he fell to the ground, but despite the grievous injury, Gawain was still not dead. Roger even sensed movent in the Elder of Shadows’ stomach.

Was that thing reverse-feeding Energy to Gawain?

“What exactly are you?”

Curiosity arose within Roger as well.

From what Gawain had just claid, combined with his faint connection to the Elder of Shadows, Roger had so speculation about his identity.

If Lilith could rge a part of her own body with Anna to form a separate entity with its own consciousness after being sealed,

Then it stands to reason that the Elder of Shadows, countless tis more powerful than Lilith, might have developed a unique consciousness in so of its organs over the long years and under the influence of the Shadow World.

As for Gawain’s connection to Lilith and how he left this place to rge with the real Round Table Knights, Roger was not sure.

What he was curious about now was—

Which organ was Gawain?

Could he be…?

“Killing here will extinguish the only active Life Essence in this body, and you will gain nothing!”

Gawain’s voice was full of desperation.

Roger hesitated for a mont, but then he swiftly thrust the Cursed Sword in his hand.

The sharp blade pinned Gawain to the ground, and that familiar sensation of devouring ca once more.

With one hand on the hilt of the sword and the other probing into the Elder of Shadows’ chest cavity, Roger spoke,

“Don’t worry, I won’t let you die that easily.”

Roger controlled the devouring of the Cursed Sword, and as expected, Gawain imdiately beca powerless to resist.

His hand touched the Pale Blood.

That familiar feeling struck again, the channels within his body constructing at a rapid pace, with Roger’s heart pounding vigorously.

“Quicker, even quicker!”

He was unclear about the situation inside Black Fort; Lilith could enter at any mont.

Gawain beneath his feet cursed and struggled, growing weaker and weaker.

Roger controlled the devouring of the Cursed Sword, making sure Gawain was neither able to die easily nor offer resistance.

To Roger, ti seed to stretch endlessly, yet in reality, it only took a few breaths for the channels within him to be fully constructed.

A series of ssages flashed on the notice board, and Roger’s eyes scanned them quickly, soon focusing on one in particular.

“Ability upgrade detected, shattered Shadow Fragnts found.”

“Proceed with assimilation and devouring?”

Assimilation?

For a mont, Roger’s mind went blank, but he quickly grasped the potential benefits of assimilation.

If he assimilated this Shadow World, did that an the body of the Elder of Shadows would belong entirely to him?

With the prospect of the advantages this would entail, Roger’s breathing grew rapid!
