Chapter 532: Chapter 499: Roger’s Advance (Two in One) Chapter 532: Chapter 499: Roger’s Advance (Two in One) A few more figures erged on the pitch-black mountaintop.

“The treasure you spoke of is here?”

The Fla Demon greedily stared at the castle floating amidst the Mist.

They had collected many precious materials under Gawain’s guidance throughout their journey, but for the most powerful among them, these were rely icing on the cake.

What they truly needed was the Pale Blood that could help them ascend to the Fourth Tier.

“What are we waiting for, let’s go in now!”

Soone, eager to try, said.

“We’re not taking this route.”

The closer they got to Black Fort, the paler Gawain’s complexion beca, and his eyes flashed with red and black light.

“Is there a secret passage?”

Even the ever-calm Black Soul could not hide his excitent.

Their trust in Gawain might not be complete, but the riches of the trip were too substantial. So even if they knew danger might lie ahead, the group could not contain their greed.

“Follow .”

Gawain gave Black Soul a look, and the latter nodded, emitting black smoke that mingled with the surrounding mist.

In the blink of an eye, the sounds and figures vanished from the mountaintop.

“You must be quick. I can’t sustain covering so many people for long.”

In fact, Black Soul wanted to abandon those ordinary Transcendents with insufficient strength, but since Gawain had not spoken, he naturally could not bring up the topic himself.

The group moved forward and soon ca to the steps Green had once traversed. From this point, it wouldn’t take long to reach the castle gates.

“Stay close to , follow my steps exactly when the ti cos. I’m only going to say this once. If anyone is unlucky and dies along the way…”

Gawain went silent.

He sliced open his own wrist, spread his hands wide, and touched his head to the ground. Blood flowed from the wound, leaving marks on the cold ground.

“Queen Lilith is a powerful Fourth Tier Transcendent, and we have no chance of contending with her by our power, so as soon as we find the treasure, we must leave imdiately!”

“Lilith has a Magic Mirror, and her most precious treasures are hidden in the Mirror World.”

As he spoke, the figures shrouded in the black mist suddenly found their surroundings drastically altering as their bodies began to sink.

Their feet on the Blackstone, as solid as tal, lted like the surface of water swallowing them whole.

Soone struggled briefly and managed to break free from the sinking sensation, but in the next second, the one who escaped the engulfnt was flung away at high speed, followed by countless unseen forces that seed to swarm in the dark.

In an instant, the Transcendent was torn to pieces.

“What’s happening?”

Black Soul asked urgently, containing the emotion in his voice.

“I told you, don’t move.”

Gawain’s voice was cold, and oddly, while he answered their questions, he continued his chant without stopping.

It was as if there were two Gawains speaking at the sa ti.

“We’re about to go in.”

They continued sinking, the enveloping sensation causing great discomfort to many, but Gawain’s image, built up along the journey, successfully quelled the panic within them.

As the rock-like liquid passed over their heads, their vision went completely dark, then light began to gleam fuzzily in the darkness.

Thump, thump!

Several figures fell from midair, soone stood up, and they found themselves in a chilly environnt. Looking around, it seed they were still on the sa mountaintop as before.

“Did we fail?”

“No!” Black Soul said in a deep voice.

He lifted his head, and not far in front of them stood the towering Dark Castle. The style and size of the fort were almost identical to how they had seen it from afar.

The only thing that seed closer was the distance to the fort.

Black Soul dispelled the mist that shrouded them, “Look carefully, look at our feet.”

Everyone did as they were told.

The pavent made of Blackstone was almost transparent. Through the jade-like ground, they could see the winding mountains shrouded in Mist and the vague outline of Black Fort!

Only now, compared to before, the Black Fort they saw was completely inverted, like a reflection.

“What’s going on?”

“Are we standing on a mirror?”

Gawain did not answer but kept looking at the Black Fort in front of him. He then turned around with a slight smile on his face.

“Welco to Lilith’s secret garden.”

“His treasures, his secrets, all hidden here.”

“You ntioned the Magic Mirror earlier, are we in a Mirror World now?”

“Sort of,” Gawain obviously didn’t want to discuss it further.

“More importantly, let’s focus on the castle’s treasures.”

Saying this, he was the first to stride towards the nearby castle.

The experience was peculiar. Through the see-through pavent, they could see an entirely inverted world. Walking on it was like standing on a mirror.

In the distance, there seed to be a vague semblance of another figure.

“Is there also a body of us on the other side?” soone curiously asked.

“How is that possible?”

“What you see must be an illusion ford by the mist at the mountaintop.”

Creak!

Gawain pushed open the heavy doors. The hall was filled with various Casting Materials and Transcendent items. On both sides of the central hall, nurous statues stood.

“What are these?”

The statues were lifelike, their faces etched with pain and eyes filled with despair, leaving a striking impression. Their bodies were entwined with red web-like substances, enveloping them and connected to the floor of the castle.

“Don’t move.”

Gawain said coldly, his gaze following the upward staircase into a certain place in the darkness.
