Chapter 517: Chapter 491: Phoenix (Two in One)_2 Chapter 517: Chapter 491: Phoenix (Two in One)_2 “Can you get closer and check?”
“Are you insane? Black Soul!”
The Fla Demon chuckled coldly.
“Let’s not even ntion the raging energy inside, can we even approach a Fourth Tier battlefield?”
“Once we encounter sothing we shouldn’t…”
The Fla Demon shut his mouth, clearly unwilling to say more.
Among the group, the three of them were the strongest; the others behind them stayed silent, focusing their gazes on Gawain.
“Mr. Mist really didn’t co?”
Black Soul asked quietly.
“I’m not sure.”
Gawain answered, his gaze fixed on the distance, deep in thought. After a while, he turned around and said,
“Keep moving, I’ve found a good spot where we might find so Soul Resurrection Grass.”
“That’s really good news.”
Joy could hardly be concealed in Black Soul’s voice. Soul Resurrection Grass was very nurturing to the soul; more importantly, for them, Otherworldly Visitors using potions made from Soul Resurrection Grass during body-swapping could greatly protect their souls.
Though they hadn’t been here long, the group had acquired so things along the way. The consecutive successes had given them a lot of confidence in Gawain, and he had naturally taken control of the entire team.
The group moved on. Fla Demon lagged half a step behind, silently passing a ssage, “Paladin, about that Black Fort you ntioned earlier…”
“Don’t worry, we’ll get there.”
Gawain smiled.
After the group left, the surrounding energy beca even more violent. The force of nature was astounding, making the earlier destruction caused by a few Fourth Tiers seem trivial in comparison.
After so ti, a wisp of fla suddenly erged from the blackened earth, struggling like a hatchling breaking free, slowly squeezing out of the land, forming a vague humanoid shape.
“It’s terrifying. The current Green is even stronger than the rumors said, nearly killed by that one.”
The figure split their hands apart, pulling a body from the earth. The torso was intact, hardly damaged, but the head was completely crushed.
At that mont, the brain, mixed with dirt, ford brown lumps.
“I must kill you!”
“No matter the cost!”
The figure approached the body on the ground, becoming more distinct in shape, revealing Angela’s delicate features.
But unfortunately, her body was destroyed; even though Angela was still alive, her strength was greatly reduced.
Magicians have strong spirits, but without a body, they lose their reliance. Not every magician could do what Angela did.
As for the rumors of her being undead, though they were exaggerated, in this special place, they indeed afforded Angela a glimr of hope.
Sensing sothing, the fla that floated in mid-air dove back into the soil again. Before long, dirt turned over, and a head with withered golden hair erged.
Seeming to adapt to this new body, Angela slowly crawled to her own corpse, “It’s lucky. Margaret’s body, though drained of Essence Blood, still had a bit of vitality left.”
She looked down at her own body, now like a dry corpse from the drained Essence Blood, while the body lying at her feet was the beautiful form she had ticulously refined for decades.
Angela opened her mouth, but no sound ca from her throat.
Her eyes filled with resentnt, she turned and staggered up to the mountaintop.
With her body destroyed and her strength diminished, no matter what secrets this world held, she needed to leave this place next.
“Open the portal!”
“Wait for it, Green. Whatever you’ve gained, when you return to the real world, what greets you will be a big surprise.”
“You destroyed my body; I’ll destroy everything you have!”
The volcanic eruption had almost erased all traces, but Angela was lucky to find the Array she left behind.
Hidden beneath the volcanic energy, the portal opened. Angela, having spent almost all her energy, plunged into the portal.
…
“Is this the place?”
Tamara looked at the tranquil lake, its surface smooth like a mirror, her eyes filled with restrained greed.
“Yes, this is the place.”
“In a mont, when you see the structure beneath the lake, you’ll understand.”
“Just one thing I need to remind you of, once you enter, you’ll encounter a fearso creature…”
“An ordinary Third Tier Transcendent would find it difficult to withstand its attack.”
Tamara waved her hand to interrupt Mowood’s words.
“Is there a monster?”
Tamara twisted her thick neck, “I will tear it apart with my own hands!”
Upon entering this valley, the environnt seed completely isolated from the previous area; there were no buzzing insects, no bird calls, and no animals in sight.
Even when Roger activated Hunter Vision, he couldn’t find any trace of animals by the lakeside.
More importantly, the lake was too calm, as if it were a dead thing, like an entire block of ice frozen solid.
At that mont, a young mber of the Secret Blood Family casually threw a stone.
Bang!
The hard stone hit the surface of the water and made a collision sound.
“The whole lake is frozen?”
Soone said.
But soon, the stone that flew out fell back down and eerily passed through the lake surface, without even a ripple where it fell.
“Control your people!”
Krus turned his head, looking at Bovida with an unfriendly expression.
Being scolded publicly, Bovida’s expression was also quite ugly.
At that mont, he saw Tamara riding the strange creature to the edge of the lake, and following that, the creature lowered its head and a blue light flashed across its horns.
This energy transmitted into the water, seemingly activating sothing; the whole lake bubbled up violently, and everyone watched with bated breath, on guard.
Then, the roiling water split to both sides, as if sothing huge was about to erge from beneath the lake!
“Be careful.”
Roger quietly stepped forward half a step, shielding Goway behind him, while drawing the Sword of Frost from his back.
Without activating the Inheritance Core inside, the Sword of Frost appeared to be nothing more than a special weapon.
Unable to use the Cursed Sword, even without utilizing its energy and only using its basic weapon properties, it was enough for Roger now.
Rumble, rumble.
As ti passed, everyone saw clearly the huge object erging from the water.
It was an almost circular white palace, with a massive iron gate at the front, over ten ters tall, where one could vaguely see struggling faces.
Carved onto the do on the outside of the palace was a massive beast with intricate scales and ferocious wings, and more unnervingly, between the horns of the beast seed to be a faint face.
Tamara imdiately beca vigilant and couldn’t help tightening her grip on Mowood’s horn.
“What is this place?”
“This is the White Palace.”
The water on the lake surface rippled, yet Mowood pointed painfully at the reflection of the White Palace in the water.
“Look closely below.”
At that ti, others also noticed the reflection on the lake.
The palace above the lake was completely white and regularly shaped, but its reflection in the water was pitch black.
Tall towers, mottled walls, and the faintly visible limbs in the water.
“Without , even if you search the entire world, you won’t be able to find the entrance to Black Fort!”
Mowood replied.
After listening to it, the wariness in Tamara’s eyes receded sowhat, but she still didn’t step forward.
But just at that mont, a subtle aura passed in the distance; none of the people in the area reacted, but Tamara, who had been on high alert, suddenly turned her head to look at a certain spot in the sky.
“This fluctuation…”
“Have they discovered sothing too?”
She sensed a familiar presence, and a sudden sense of urgency rose in her heart.
At the sa ti, the beast statue atop the palace suddenly ca to life, the surface stone debris falling away to reveal a body like tal.
Then, the palace floating on the water began to sink slowly, but eerily, as it sank beneath the surface, it seed to directly vanish, as if entering another space!
“What’s happening?”
“The ti hasn’t co yet, why would…”
Mowood said.
Tamara’s face tensed, and seeing the beast diving into the water, she instinctively launched an attack.
anwhile, Roger, standing not far away, saw a sowhat familiar figure among the statues on top of the palace.
“Rams?”
He muttered with so confusion, “When did this guy change his sword again?”
